I have purchased a near top of the range Intel core i7-3632Qm, 17.3" Acer laptop with the hope that it will last for several years and able to do most things. So far it is running as expected! very fast lovely screen and Windows 8. Windows 8 take some getting used to but slowly learning what to do with it. Simply Acer dispatched my order no sooner than I had placed my order and it arrived within the time slot allocated. Brilliant service thank you. (read more)

Great prices and a great choice of laptops. Both my son and I have dealt with Simply Acer and we're very happy with them. Delivery was extremely quick and the laptop was well packaged. I got a good deal on an extended warranty and Bullguard internet security came free for a year. My only criticism was that I tried twice to order the PC online at the weekend and both times got a pretty useless error message. Tried again Monday morning and everything went fine. Using the Simply Acer web site I was able to find a lap top with the specification I required at a good price relative to Simply Acer's competitors. However, it was out of stock, so I contacted the Simply Acer help desk and asked them when they were expecting delivery, whether they could suggest an alternative lap-top with a similar specification or whether I could I be notified when my desired lap top was again in stock. Website a bit unclear, especially on ordering, and worst thing was to find that charges are made for paypal as well as credit cards - bad to find this out at the end of the order. Laptop arrived exactly as described. Saw the price dropped two days after buying it, which was a shame but still good value. Couldn't get the Norton disc to run as think the Laptop had been set to another region, but connected Norton from their Webpage, entered the product key from the Disc and worked fine. Son loves the Laptop and the dedicated Graphics Card is far better than his old one. Shame SimplyAcer charge for some Laptop deliveries and not for others (mine wasn't free, typical)... (read more)

The service from Acer was fantastic with a quick reliable delivery. The laptop started smoothly and so far (a week now)all works well. The only thing is, the speakers could be expected with a little better quality. And would be nice to include a wireless mouse as with Dell laptops. Found this site on a search, looked good with plenty of choice and everything clearly explained. The laptop I bought was cheap & works fine (ok, I hate windows 8 but installed a start menu for the desktop page so it's like W7). Paid the extra tenner for Saturday delivery and it arrived within 5 minutes of the start of my 1 hour delivery window (advised by text at 8am and also trackable online) so I didn't waste the whole day. Excellent value and good fast delivery despite no extra charge. My only slight disappointment was that the website described the laptop as having a VGA port as well as HDMI. This is NOT the case, there is only HDMI and no VGA. I am now going to have to buy a HDMI-VGA chord/converter to ensure I can use projectors etc. Website still states it has VGA hence only 4*. The fact that i hate windows 8 has nothing to do either with the quality of the product or with the service provided by Simply Acer. Ordered (another) B+ Grade laptop Aspire with Window 7 (did not want 8 since I have heard a lot of complaints about it from friends who are using it and I am not the quickest to get into new technology). I did some research before purchase. I wanted something powerful enough without paying a premium, with a nice laptop chassis. I purchased an I3-571 with an Intel I5 3210M, 500mb hard disk, 6 meg memory and the ‘standard’ Intel 4000 graphics. I have not been disappointed.
Good bits:
Quick delivery
Good presentation in strong box
Everything works
Lovely to use and particularly to type on
Performance is good and the Intel 4000 graphics do not appear to be a limitation (don’t do hard gaming)
Not full of ‘sponsered’ software so did not take too much getting the way I wanted
Bad bits:
As some have reported, the piano black finish picks up finger marks quickly
Windows 8

Not my first Acer laptop and if it keeps going like this it won’t be my last.
