My elderly laptop finally threw in the towel and my local repairer said it was beyond help and recommended Save on Laptops. Buy a Windows 7 was suggested. The Lenovo laptop I received did not have a DVD rewriter, as was, and still is, stated in the specifications. In recognition of this mistake SAVEONLAPTOPS offered a £15 refund, which I accepted, even though this is insufficient to buy an external DVD rewriter, even if I had received the refund, which I have not done. The absence of the DVD slot means I haven't been able to get the wireless printer working, so I don't yet know how that will perform. Surely the absence of a DVD rewriter... (read more)

Only downside which is no fault of SaveOnLaptops is that laptop come pre-installed with windows 8 which is quite possibly the worst O/S I have ever had the misfortune of using, it may work well on tablets but not on a laptop. Also Acer advertise this model as having Dual Drive capability but upon receiving the machine and opening up the hdd cover I found that whilst it can take a 2nd drive, no mounting kit is supplied with the machine....
