Good Points: It is light and easy to cock.

Bad Points: It scratches easily it is a good gun for a starter gun.It is not very powerfull for shooting rabbits.

General comments: Overall quite good gun resonably priced and good for a starter gun.

My gun was purchased many years ago under the Crosman label. Current model is essentially unchanged according to a gunsmith who has worked on them. My safety is not automatic and I don't know that the trigger is adjustable but I wouldn't change it now even if it is as I've become used to the heavy pull.

When i first got this gun i got it as .177 and with a small scope. I thought it was extremely good and dead accurate for the reasonable distance i did in the garden, which was just plinking around with cans and targets. But after a while and lots of cocking of the barrel you began to get scope creep. I tryed to ignore this and just had to re-adjust every now and then. After a few kills on birds i began to get annoyed on my scope and took it off... After that hunting was a quite a bit easier and ...

I got this gun when I was 9 it was my first air rifle and to be honest me I still believe it's a brilliant gun. I wouldn't recommend it for hunting but for a back garden shooting and tin caning its perfect you couldn't ask for a better rifle I had the cometa for 5 years and never had any problems with it and I've never even had to change the spring. Really top gun for under £100

Bought the Cometa 100 on a mission, where I had to work 3H for 2 days during 15 days... So I tested it a lot!
I bought a scope too, so I can't say anything about iron sight.
We tested it from 10m to 50m (at 30-50 m we put at least 2 mm paper on back scope ring to be able to see where we hit)
It is really precise (at least equivalent to the same price model from Diana) but it lacks power, so you have to be really good to hit after 20-30m.
The weight is just OK, and it is quiet (useful with ne ...

For a begginer like myself the Cometa 100 is a great little gun, I like the Cometa 100 because it's light which is what I like, and with my deerfield 4x40 scope, which I have fitted it is deadly accurate, I can hit 2p's at 20m.
I mainly use this gun for plinking in the garden, but I have took this gun out hunting a couple of times and I was quite impressed. the maximum range with the cometa 100 is about 20m which isn't ideal, but saying that it is not too bad as a hunting rifle,
    I use RWS Supe ...

I recieved the Cometa 100 as a present. My dad owns two rifles, and they are both verry powerfull with sights. We do a test by shooting the guns into a ball of plastacine, we already knew that my dads rifle was 12 foot pounds, when we fired my rifle into the plastacine we where astonished at the results, it was only just not as powerfull as my dads. I then went out the garden and sighted it up, I noticed that light pellets fire excellent in the gun (espically rws superdome pellets) the heavy pel ...

The cometa-100 is an excellent all roud gun with good specifications. This air-rifle is perhaps, more for beginners and older people as it is not too complex and does not need too much looking after. This particlar cometa is overall an excellent air-rifle, and the whole range of cometa guns, i believe, are seriously underated and suit all types of shooters

I bought my Cometa 100 air rifle and was pleased - it looked nice and was acurate. I took it out into a field where the farmer had just planted his seeds, aimed at the tree on the otherside of the field and i saw where the pellet hit the ground because of the recently seeded ground. I was disappointed but will carry on using it because it is quiet and accurate.
