“Great value quality used cars”

Just bought a 6 year old Mercedes C180 Komp Blue Efficiency with 63K miles on the clock, car was spotless, and priced very competitively compared to auto trader search within 100 miles of my home address. LMC have a low profit high volume policy so if you choose the right car then they are exceptional value in the second hand market and much better than loosing unnecessary thousands of pounds to main dealers. “Bad experience avoid this car dealer ”

I was looking to buy a vw Passat 12 reg brown sport tech model with very good spec at LMC. I called before coming to see the car as I was traveling from London. I really think this review is unfair. You placed a small deposit subject to you viewing the car and as part of the agreement we said that if you were not happy once viewed we would refund your deposit. Which is exactly what we did. What you neglect to say in your review is that the car you were coming to view was a high mileage car that had done nearly 90,000 miles. The car was a fleet car and the service work you pointed out in your review was shown to you by ourselves explaining that a new turbo had been fitted as part of its maintenance contract which I believe is a bonus not a negative on a used car with higher mileage. The key that you say didn't work was simply due to a low battery inside the key which we replaced at a cost of £1.50. The rear tires were not bald but were used and did show some wear but were perfectly legal and had plenty of life left in them. The paintwork you were unhappy with was simply a couple of small scratches that had been smart repaired to a good standard. Had this car been a really low mileage car costing £000's more I could accept your comments as being valid. We actually refused a customer the car prior to you coming due to the deposit you left and when we called to say that you had refused the car he was extremely happy and came over the following day and purchased it. I'm sorry if you felt let down by us but you also have to be realistic. The items you mentioned were very minor considering the high mileage of the car and were reflected in the asking price.

“Great salesman but a liar ”

The salesman becomes your best friend and acts like your friend but Infact he fails to point our several issues and then denying it. I am disgusted at how the salesman played daft. Sent many emails in the hope getting to the director but it turns its the saleman answering the emails. Avoid this garage or take a mechanic with you and get a a big discount. Unfortunately you have not given me any information that could help me to find out what your issues were. All our cars are sold with a warranty, just in case things go wrong which with the best of intentions does happen when selling used cars even when selling brand new cars they can still break down. I have no idea where your statement about " Pre preped vehicles bought in so the garage is simply flogging then on at inflated prices with no warranty " comes from. All our cars are prepared on site and go through a rigorous pre delivery inspection prior to being delivered. “No aftersales service, just fobbed off”

I bought a car from them and was promised the bumper would be painted. Came to pick up the car a week later and the work hadn't been done, no mats, it hadn't even been washed. After purchasing a car from this dealer I have had numerous small issues in which the dealer is not interested in at all. I have polite and patient and been fobbed off in ever sense to the degree ive go to the finance company and my bank to start a dispute. Buying the car couldn't have been easier no one hanging over you trying to push you into things they came out gave me the keys for a car as requested and left me to play which was spot on ... 2 months ago we bought a car from LMC and had a good experience. So far the car is doing fine. They MOT-d it for us in with the price and also set up tax there and then when I picked up (though I paid for that bit). Good customer service from the young salesman, we would recommend LMC. I was meant to recieve a touch up pack and buttons for the key as they were missing, neither of these should of been needed really because they were both meant to be sorted before I picked the car up but I couldn't really go back for it after travelling an hour and a half to pick it up... After ringing 5times with no success I will just buy them myself, something I really shouldn't of had to pay for. Horrendous experience, please avoid regardless of how good the deal may look. The change in attitude once they had my money was shocking! Bought a 2011 Insignia (40k miles) - thought it was a good deal at the time, however quickly realised I had been tricked. I am really sorry that you feel it necessary to write such a bad review of our company. We have been established here for many, many years and sell in excess of 1000 cars per year with many very happy repeat customers. We strive to give good value and a great customer service but unfortunately on this occasion we seem to have failed your expectations. We did try and resolve your issues and offered to inspect your car to ascertain what had gone wrong but unfortunately you were unable to return the car to our workshop. We did resolve your damaged key as you posted it back to us and we replaced the damaged case with a new one. As you were unable to return the car we offered to refund you the cost of the battery with some proof that the old one was faulty and had not just gone flat overnight. We're sorry that the car ran out of fuel on the day of collection this was a mistake on our behalf and I apologize if this upset you. I do understand that buying a car is a big investment and when things go wrong it can be distressing. I don't understand though how you think we're trading illegally. We are a fully registered family owned company that sells quality used cars, I appreciate you feel aggrieved with the standard of service you got and can only assume that you wrote this out of anger. Totally agree with you Jaslyn. I too had similar experience to you. I ended up spending £2000 to fix my car and was so fed up I traded it in at a £3500 loss.. so it cost me extra £5500 and I am still paying off a loan for a car I have not got. Absolutely gut renching. They take your money and then run. I see their comment below.. what a load of rubbish.. they DO NOT try and fix anything or compensate. If you want my support in legal action I would be more than happy to aid you.
