I would recommend this as an iPhone app as there is no connection charge and it using included mins of my phone contract. Seemed fine , pick one up at the till , seems like all the other prepaid cards but a bit cheaper. Then when you check your landline bill a couple of months later you find you have been charged again by the landline provider !!! Im sure this is all in the small print but its not what you expect from a major retailer like Tesco . I am a regular customer and even a shareholder of Tesco plc and just cannot believe they sell this card without a highly visible warning of this double charging. (read more)

The sound quality is terrible, it cuts you off every £1 used up to tell me what my remaining credit was so I had to keep going through the whole process again to get back into contact and being charged each time for the connection and it uses up more money than it claims to. I totally agree. I bought the Tesco Calling Card for £10. So the terms & conditions say that your own phone provider MAY charge you for calling the access number. OK I didnt check the smallprint so I am the thickest person in the UK. My £10 charge has cost me £350.00. My mob phone provider TALKMOBILE have told me to contact TESCO. Yet again only one loser.

This product looks great at the till and is easy to load when you buy your groceries. However, cashiers are not trained to inform you of the pitfalls: there is a 90 day expiry date which will take whatever credit is left (in very small print on the back of the card), the terms and conditions cannot be agreed to at the point of sale as you have to agree them on the internet and you can use the card without even agreeing to these (this is in even smaller print on the back of the card). Since submitting this, Tesco have reimbursed the credit that was lost. However, I advise starting the card with the minimum amount to start with. By using this up and topping up you then extend the 90 days each time.
Tesco can go a long way to improving their sales of this product and I am surprised at such a company being so poor at sales in this case.

As I read the instructions you can do the following: From a land line dial 0800 for free and then dial a UK phone with 4p connection charge then 8p per minute to a mobile and 2p per minute to a land line. That is cheaper than most land line calls to a mobile or land line. The Tesco calling card is intended to be used to call FROM the UK to international destinations throughout the world. If you look at their website, it states that the card can also be used FROM 7 European destinations, Poland is not one of them.
On the back of the calling card, there are three lines of small print, one states that network charges may apply, another states that the card expires in 90 days after purchase or last recharge.
I don't think that tesco could be much more explicit with the terms and conditions, you just have to spend a moment to actually read them and not to make assumptions.

Don't buy, don't use !!! international calling card Tesco, if you've got T-mobile /pay as you go/
Here is why:
1. There are many hidden charges but I'm not sure on which sides (tesco or tmobile)
2. It will erase your balance very quickly
3. You can even go into credit and if you top-up your card again it will eat your money (e.g. I top up my card for 5 and it will load only for 1 pound and even that I can't make any calls.

Absolutely right. I bought it to use with my mobile phone because it said Sth Africa was 12c p/min. It directs you to a number when using a mobile and says a 5c connection fee is applicable. Got a whopper of a bill because my mobile provider charged me 20c p/min on top of it. Was a tesco shopper but still too angry to walk in past the door.
