Went for Sunday lunch with my granddaughter, waited 20 mins to be served but we were a bit taken aback when they were only serving 2 meats, i'm sure the menu states choice of 4 meats, apart from that satisfied.

do not be in a hurry at the bar . young girl serving at bar was totally inefficient.all this while another member of staff was sat in the public area playing with her mobile! The entire premises could do with a good deep clean!Food , however was good and was good value for money.

Having convinced my Wife and friends that the Carvery in Lee on Solent was better than the Old Ship with it's sizzling steaks, I was to be proved so wrong. Personally I love a good roast dinner, but having turned up yesterday,05/09/13 at 13.30pm, what a shambles. There were not many people sitting down for a meal, but all tables were messy with dishes. My wife cleaned the table that we chose, and I had to ask the chef for some cutlery, because there was nobody else to ask at the time. The restaurant was in a sorry state as though they had just had 2 coach loads of 7 year olds. This is not the first time I have felt embarrased in this Carvery, but it certainly was the worse time. My wife says that we are not going back there for a very long time. I can't find your usual survey online, so I have resorted to write this review. I do think it's time you did some serious thinking about your Carvery. It's affordable, yes, but cleanliness has just got worse.

We have enjoyed dining at Inn On The Sea several times usually early Saturday evenings, bar and waiting staff are cheerful and welcoming but after being greeted by a very rude impatient and intimidating carver we did not return for several months, we eventually went back, couldn't see him, so ordered food, oh dear, out of the kitchen he came even worse than before ,he must be good at his job but his customer service skills are terrible he speaks in a very abrupt manner even carving the meat is intimidating I thought he would carve straight through the stainless steel underneath, the meal was ruined by this,so sadly we will not be returning

I went to our local Crown Carvery today (a Sunday) and was surprised that 2 meals, half a cider and half a lager came to over £18. It doesn't seem to be advertised anywhere that the cost on a Sunday is higher than the cost of exactly the same food during the week (it's probably in the small print somewhere). During the week the food is good value for money, with a choice of meat and veg. The staff are lovely and I would definitely recommend.....just not on a Sunday. I fail to see how you can charge extra just because it's a Sunday. We'll be sticking to the local sizzler or Ember Inn in future and will stick to our mid week visit to the Crown Carvery.

We have a carvery and the selection and food quality is always good.
Do to lack of staff the wait betwen finishing the carvery and having the plates cleared and being asked if we would like a dessert is quite considerable. a lot longer than you would normally expect.
The premises these few months have not been very warm.
We are normally sitting down eat just before 7.00pm.
