I got my shuffle 2nd generation for Christmas and it's brilliant! It does everything I need it to do.
If I was to want anything extra i would have liked it to come with a pouch, but i guess i can buy one on the cheap. Well recommend the Apple iPod Shuffle v1… Read Full Review

What is the point in an MP3 player that deletes itself every time you plug it into your computer?
I do not store MP3s on mine as I back them up on to disc but really- no other iPod model has to have the tracks in iTunes in order to keep them; an absolute waste of time. So every time I want to change my shuffle I have to import at least 6 cds that are already on it just so they don't get deleted. I cannot see the wisdom in this feature… Read Full Review

The Apple iPod Shuffle v1 is dead handy and not in your face. If you just want to put your best tunes in one place and not have to be messing about flicking this way and that, so all you've got is one really good tune after another, then you cannot go wrong with this "littlebigthing"!!!! Simple, straightforward, good colours and not a bad price either

I won this off Review Centre, thanks Review Centre.
It does everything I need it too, simple to use, plays music, that's I need it to do.
Only bugbear is that I can't use iTunes because I'm still using Windows ME. that's Apples lack of foresight, means I can't buy tunes form iTunes, their loss not mine, I now use Winamp to put music on my shuffle and take it off, no problem… Read Full Review

Basically, if you are a music lover this is maybe the ultimate mp3 player.
I love it because it doesn't have any poncy features like a colour screen etc and is therefore cheap and you can therefore chuck it around.
I love it because I plug it into the PC, take literally seconds to chuck a couple of my favorite albums onto it, then take it off my PC then I can go off for a cycle or drive or wherever and I can listen to music I love without going through menus and stuff.
I see this baby on… Read Full Review

I've had Ipods for years now and this has not disappointed me, it is perfect for exercise and all the stuff you are too scared to do with your expensive Nano or Video (i was too scared of breaking my video and losing all my tunes and vids!)
Easy to use (i found my nan using it the other week)
Good quality sound
Value for money

ASK any retailer how many returns they've had and what their returns policy is on this 'hunkajunk'.
My iPod Shuffle didn't work from the first time we used it - when I tried to get help on the Apple site they said it had been registered previously! This meant I couldn't get ANY support. Not happy… Read Full Review

I'd say the iPod shuffle is a great little iPod. I mean sure, there is no screen but it doesn't bother me and it's not THAT hard to skip to a song that you want. It's ever so easy to transfer songs etc. And, it is awfully small which is good for me. I'd recommend it to anyone who isn't picky about songs and is fairly sporty. Also, the price isn't that bad. Not bad for an iPod.
Worth it… Read Full Review

I've had the iPod Shuffle for a while now. I bought it at Wal-Mart, and I never had any problems with it. The battery doesn't last all that long and there's no screen, but you don't need a screen to listen to music. The sound quality on this MP3 player is excellent, even with the headphones that came with it. I also never had any trouble with iTunes.
Overall, it was a great buy!… Read Full Review

I got mine later than most. I paid $30 for mine on Ebay for a brand new 512Mb shuffle, because the new "mini" shuffle comes out 10/31/06.
In the past I've had Creative's MuVo and a couple of other varieties I can't remember. Most had reasonable, if not middling sound. This iPod really surprised me. Much better sound without muddy lows and screeching highs. Although the battery in the iPod is internal and not easily changed without going through Apple, my other units ate either AA or AAA… Read Full Review

We have three Ipod shuffles in our household and all three went down at once with the orange and green lights flashing alternately depicting an error. I took them back to the place we bought them from and got two of them replaced the other was 30 days past its warranty. Hope these will be ok… Read Full Review

A lot of people on here say bad things about the Apple iPod Shuffle MP3 player, especially about it having no screen. Well, that's why they made the other iPod's! If you wanted an MP3 player with a screen then why did you buy it?
I have just got my iPod shuffle and I'm really impressed. It's so simple. None of those weird buttons that no normal person really uses. I have had one other MP3 player and it wasn't that great. Coming off that one and on to this one was awesome. It's good for people… Read Full Review

If you're the kind of person who would take your iPod wherever you go, then the iPod Shuffle is for you. It's cheap, so you shouldn't be too sad if you lose it. Hey, it was cheap, so just buy another one! It is great for running or boredom. I can really understand what Apple means wen they say life is ... random... This thing will take you from rock to blues, and if the worst comes to the worst, just press the next button until a song you're in the mood for comes on.
If you're a picky person… Read Full Review
