Ordered previously with no problems, quick delivery. On this occasion order placed, confirmation e mail received. 10 days later no delivery. E mail left requesting information. 24 hours later no reply. PHONE CONTACT IS ANSWERING MACHINE. SO NOT POSSIBLE TO TALK TO ANYONE. Just have to sit and wait! I'd used Simply Seed a few times and the first couple of times were fantastic. They were quick, cheap and reliable. I got everything I ordered within a couple of days and there were no problems with the seeds germinating. Fantastic right? No, the last time I used them was my biggest order. I was comfortable with growing plants from seed and wanted a large variety of vegetables with my infant daughter. So a week after I placed my order... nothing. I send a message. No response. I have previously bought seeds from a well known big name. But I tried this company and I will certainly not be going back to that big name. All items were in stock, quickly despatched and I can tell you that of the seeds I have already sewn, the germination rate has been great. One of the things I have found with some of the bigger names is that you get more seeds than you can reasonably use which is wasteful. Probably the finest website I have ever used. All the seeds are a fraction of the price in garden centres. The packaging is excellent and my onion sets were in absolute pristine condition and packaged in very high quality netting. My order was delivered in less than 24 hours: fantastic service. “Still waiting and no response from customer services”

I ordered seeds on the 6 January. On the 20 January I emailed Simply Seeds to say that the order had't arrived. They asked me to wait another couple of days. Three days later I emailed again to say the seeds still hadn't turned up. No response. Today I emailed again (at 8am) and yet again no response. What's the point of good value seeds and a nice website if the seeds don't turn up and customer services ignore your complaint. (read more)

I got nearly all my seeds (too late for four things though) for about a third of the price. And the website gives lots of info about the variety, and how and when to sow etc. All very helpful. Overall excellent value for money and a good choice of varieties. OK so they don't stock every variety under the sun but the impression I got was they had a selection of tried and tested varieties. The seeds were reasonably priced and came well packaged, and at the time I purchased, came with free delivery (although the normal delivery rate is very reasonable). My only minor niggle was that one of the packets only contained 6 seeds rather than the expected 10, hence the 4 stars. (read more)

As these are seeds bought a week ago, there isn't time to comment on quality, but the order did come very promptly. The seeds come in plain paper envelopes enclosed in little zippy poly bags with labels on. There are no instructions on sowing dates, spacing etc but an exhortation to visit the web site - a bit of a fag when you're out in the garden. The one problem I have with seeds from simply seeds is that there are no growing instructions on the packet. For this reason I will probably buy from other suppliers in future, which is a pity as I feel the company provides good quality products.

Website was easy enough to navigate through the content, but presentation could be enhanced.
Seed range could be extended to include more varieties, but it did have most of what I was looking for.
Prices make this site really good value, as most seeds are double or triple the price.
Really pleased with the speed of delivery (as I had ordered seeds quite late in sowing season).
Perhaps include the growing instructions for each seed packet (but can look online).

For the novice gardener, I would say that some of the planting instructions are minimal forcing you to 'Google' for fuller detail. Only suggestion would be to print some planting info on the label - e.g. which months. whilst there is good information one website, it's not always convenient to check back each time.
