“Fab 5th Birthday Party”

Mark put on a fantastic show on Sunday for my son and 28 of his friends for his 5th birthday. He arrived in good time to set up and was ready to go when the first guests arrived meaning we could greet them at the door and they headed straight in to a warm welcome. A huge thanks to Mark for making our son's birthday so special. We were impressed immediately because Mark arrived early (having allowed for potentially heavy New Year's Day traffic). “Fantastic 5th birthday party!”

What a great party and the children raved to their parents about the magic and the bubble machine. Even though the hall I booked was a little small for 35 children (whoops!) Mark took it all in his stride and assured me it would be fine and it was. The excited screams from the children at the beginning when the disco lights started was deafening! On the day, I received a message re-confirming and informing me of the time of arrival,It had Mark's name and the name of the company, cool kids party, I thought this little touch was brilliant and thoughtful and did put me at ease (it let me know he hadn't forgotten lol! I am writing this review largely to thank Mark for a fantastic day, my son Alfie is still talking about Mark like he is part of the family. Would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a fun, memorable party for their son or daughter, the party games were a huge success and big hit, excellent value for money and exceeded my expectations. Mark from The Cool Kids Party www.thecoolkidsparty.com was very professional, courteous, had a great “affinity” with kids as it states in the website and put on a great show. Everyone young and old loved the lights and effects and the kids danced themselves into a sweat and cooled down with the more mellow magic bit before eating. (Good timing!) “Great 4 year old's birthday party!”

Mark was excellent! My son had a great time as did all his friends and he kept them completely entertained the whole time meaning I could relax and leave it all to him. He turned up early beforehand, set up his kit and got going. He was very calm, conscientious and was very communicative the whole time about when he would be doing what. I booked the party purely by doing some research on google and therefore was slightly apprehensive although I have to say the communication before the event was very reassuring. I was not disappointed, I had a hall of 32 children for my son's 6th Birthday party and they all had a great time. I used to dread childrens's birthday parties but I was so pleased with this one that there will even be a 6th!! I booked Cool Kids Disco through google, so did not know what to expect but I have to say Mark was fantastic - he kept all the kids entertained for the whole 2 hours. Mark was again fabulous! My daughter has been to a few of Marks partys so knew exactly who she wanted to do her Disco Party! She was right! He was great.. “Excellent Party”

We booked Mark to entertain 32 children at our little boy's 7th birthday party. It was money well spent. Mark has a lovely calm manner and a natural affinity with children. He was able to keep the children thoroughly engaged ,entertained and under control! A bonus for us as parents was that we were also able to relax and enjoy the party ourselves. Mark provided an exceptional party for 30 children, aged 7, and kept them all fully occupied and happy for the entire party. Even the troublesome boys were brilliantly behaved and under his spell. Everyone partied hard and Mark is the best entertainer I've seen.....he didn't condescend to the children and it really worked. All the children had a fantastic time, Mark kept them all under control and listening to him, very impressed how one person can get 17 children sitting down within 5 seconds and sitting quietly!!! All parents that was there was very impressed with the show. FANTASTIC!!!!!!! From start to end the kids were entertained, Mark was brilliant with them all and with just under 40 kids he had his hands full!! they all loved the magic show and Sienna loved being the helper, it made her feel very special. A huge success.Mark kept all the children entertained for the whole party a hard task when your dealing with 20+ excited 8 year olds!!!. They all had a fantastic time. I worked with Mark this weekend and he was a consummate professional. Chose the right kit for our venue, set up and took down with a minimum of fuss and was entirely open to ideas and requirements from our point of view. “Essex Roller Derby's favourite DJ!”

The Seaside Siren Roller Girls have used Mark three times now - and are planning a fourth - to DJ our bouts (matches) at a leisure centre in Southend. Mark is always on time, always prepared, and does a great job setting the right sort of atmosphere for our sport. Mark was the first DJ to take on the challenge of Roller Derby in Essex for which he deserves extra kudos as it was relatively unknown locally at the time. Mark DJ's the public bouts (games) for the Seaside Siren Roller Girls, Southend's roller derby league. We always get so many compliments on our music and Mark is the reason for that! He is excellent at knowing exactly the right atmosphere to convey and is friendly and helpful when making suggestions etc. I would use him for any event as he is very flexible and adaptable to whatever situation you put him in! Well what can I say. Mark was absolutely fantastic. He interacted with the children all the time, the music and disco lights were excellent and it was not too loud. We had a party in our house for our son's 18th birthday. The group, aged from 12 to 18, consisted of 12 diversely challenged young people, many with their carers. Mark had us all mesmerised with his magic tricks and had us all in stitches with his humour. He seemed so comfortable with the group. This weekend Mark gave a fantastic, varied party for our son and around 15 of his friends, all aged 5-6. We have had similar parties for our daughter and I can without bias confirm that Mark is a superior entertainer to others, who have by no means let themselves down. I've booked Mark twice, once for my daughter and once for my son. Both times I went for his combined magic disco show. He has been brilliant both times - keeping the children captivated from start to finish! He even got some of the parents to dance with their kids which was a really nice touch to end a great party. Absolutely fabulous. Can't recommend Mark highly enough. The party was a great success and so easy. Party was for 30 five and six year olds. Unfortunately DJ Pulse did not deliver what he had enthusiastically promised (in writing) when being booked for my daughters' Hawaiian party (they were turning 4 and 6 yrs) - he was late, ill-prepared, and in my opinion made no effort to build a rapport with the children. He has not had the courtesy to respond to my e-mail expressing my disappointment. (read more)
