I was offered £65 for my perfectly working well Blackberry and they have come back with an offer of £26, which if I reject, I have to pay £9.00 for them to send it back to me! This was on the 26th of May and I am still waiting for my payment to be transfered into my bank and it is now the 17th of June. From sending my phone to receiving the money was over 6 weeks. Was told 3-5 working days, then 7-10 working days and then finally 7-14 working days to receive my money. It took 16 working days in the end and that was after the 3 weeks of waiting for them to tell me they had received and tested my iPhone. They have had my phone since 30/05/2013. Payment was sent on 02/06/2013, still no payment, all generic emails first saying 3-10days, now 7-14 days. Rang today as I am sick of the fobbing off, talked to a girl called Ester, said I am reporting them to trading standards and I have started Legal action against them, assured payment would be in my account on the 20th latest and she sent an email across to that effect. They were really quick in taking my phones then they offered a lot less, postage was to high to justify getting them back, after saying payment would be three to five working days, I'm still waiting three weeks later, I work for my bank and payment does not take this long! Got a good initial offer then when my phone was examined they offered a significantly reduced amount due to wear and tear even though the phone was in excellent condition. I was forced to accept the offer otherwise they would charge and was advised on 24th may that money would be with me in 3-5 days. Be 4 weeks now and received nothing. This happened to me also and I am raging about it. I wish I had done my homework first to check out how reliable this company was however, I was offered a good price and jumped at the chance to make a wee bit of money. I have contacted trading standards about this as they are conning people out of their own money and it is unacceptable. This 'company' should be shut down. Have they phoned you to tell you this? My only communication has been via email - of which they ignore!

Prices offered are very over priced to what they actually end up offering If you refuse the offer you have to pay £8.95 to have your phone returned Payment states 72 hours on receipt of report but they actually have to quarantine the phone for 7 days first. Not sure why. (read more)

Cash4Phones went from £89 to £43 for the three phones because of wear and tear and wanted to charge £9 for returning the phones. Unfortunately I was on holiday when they sent their ridiculous revised offer for the 5 days period so could not even decline this. Avoid like the plague! there wasn't much between the values when i did a search, so opted for cash 4 phones. when they got the phone they revised the value by the amount of the return costs, so it was not worth returning, needles to say i didn't know you had to pay to get the phone back. Sent them my Windows HTC X8 pretty much brand new. Didn't like the phone so thought I'd sell it and buy out my contract. Originally told they would pay £154 after "tests" they told me it had software issues and told me it was worth £96. Accepted that offer because couldn't be bother with the hassle of getting it back. They quote a high price for your phone to get you to send it. Then fabricate a story to say it is damaged and offer half what they quoted. When you kick up a fuss, they state they can send it back to you at a cost of £8.95! They also state 3 to 5 days is the usual payment time. Just wish I’d come across this review site before I sent my phone off. Cash4 phones offered the best rate but this is not what I received. A much reduced counter offer was made to the effect… ‘excessive scratching on screen’ even though phone had always been kept in a protective sock. I was not able to dispute the amount as I had apparently accepted the counter offer; emails were ignored as to why the value had reduced by 1/3 Avoid them, to avoid being ripped off (read more)
