Not the best customer service, no cumminication and no updates. They advised to check my junk mail but still nothing #Justanexcuse Would not use this company again, have had a better experience with a similar company that pay the same price in the past.

“Could be better”

I was sent an envelope by RPC to send my handset. The letter that accompanied it said to read the attached leaflet before posting the handset. There was no attached leaflet. Presumably it was advice on packaging since the woman at the post office said it was inadequately packaged. I know my handset reached them but did I get an email confirming they had received it? No I didn't. It was only because I chased them that I had any acknowledgment from them. Still waiting for my cheque.

“Changed payment time, very annoying”

I sent off my phone before New Years (before 31/12/15) where it said I would receive payment within 1 working day, so assumed I would get the money on the 4th of Jan or maybe 5th/6th, didn't receive the money and rang up and was told they had changed the payment period for the new year to 2 weeks so ended up getting the email telling me the money had left themselves on the 18th (today) to find out it can take up to 3 days to come through, so instead of receiving it on the 4th as advertised I will end up getting it between now and the 21st.

“Very, very slow at sending payment ”

Quick enough at letting you know they have the phone and checking it over but then confirm bacs payment will be made but not until weeks after. Go somewhere else if you like to receive your money within a reasonable time period.

“Late payment - avoid”

I've used RPC three times in the past and they were excellent. They paid what they said they'd pay and paid promptly, so I didn't hesitate to use them again. Emphasis on the past tense here! Something has changed at this company within the last couple of years, however. A simple Google search of their name (which I did not do beforehand) reveals a lot. They were reasonably quick to send my post pack to me, but I did receive a reminder email to post them my phone before I'd received the return envelope. It seems (from an Internet search) that I was one of the few whose phone was not revalued. Mine was a near-perfect condition iPhone 5 and it was checked and marked as 'accepted' the day they received the phone. This means payment should be made, according to their terms, within 10 working days. In actual fact it took a full 3 weeks before I received payment. There is no way to contact this company by phone or regular email to chase up payment, as they've conveniently removed these details from tgheir website. Something else I did not check beforehand. The only way to contact them is by filling in an enquiry box on their website and who knows where that goes. I'm pleased I eventually received my money but would not recommend them, nor will I use them again.

“Slow, slow payment”

Decided to go with RPC as they offered the best price for my phone. They were fast at sending out the packaging and checking the phone and got an offer for my phone within 2 days. However, getting payment was much much slower. Emailed twice to get updates. The replies I got was that they were going to push the payment and email me when they send the payment. Didn't happen. After 12 working days (according to their terms and conditions, payment is made within 7) I phoned them, got the same response. I phoned the next day, deciding that I would phone them everyday until I got payment. The adviser told me that he would pass my details on to his manager and payment would be made that day or the next. Result! The money appeared in my account straight away. RPC offer the best price for phones so if you decide to go with them, my advice would be as soon as you reach the working 7 days and your payment has not been received, phone them everyday!

payment within 7days of acceptance....not likly! had to make 2 phone calls and an email (never acknowledged) to get money sent over. phone got accepted on 25th July....got payment sent email 11th Aug. not what I expected.

“Disappointed customer”

Extremely disappointed. After choosing a great deal for selling my mobile phone, I promptly sent my phone off. I was advised that my mobile had been accepted & this gave me high hopes. From there, on in, things went down hill. On the website it advises 7 working days, for payment, from acceptance however this wasn't honoured. I contacted them twice via e-mail, both were responded to very promptly, and was given an apology & advised it would be sent to the accountants & they would be in touch once payment was issued. I then followed this up with a phone call to find out what was happening. I was advised that they didn't know what the problem was but would pass it to a manager for the payment to be released the following day. This was followed through. The payment should have been received on the 1.8.14 and was eventually received at the end of day on 8.8.14, a week late, with no explanation of the delay. I have to say I'm very disappointed that a) the 7 workings days agreement wasn't kept, b) that I had to make contact to seek an update & wasn't kept informed of what was happening and c) it took three contacts with them before payment was released. Although the people I interacted with were apologetic & very professional I can't help but feel that I received a very poor customer service from the overall company!

“Very delayed in paying!! ”

Terrible experience. After sending my phone off they acknowledged receipt of my phone on 17.07.2014. They then said it would take 7 working days to process payment - 9 working days later the status still hadn't changed to show they were processing payment so I emailed them. I had an apology and they explained they must have missed me off the bacs transfer and I would receive the money by the end of the week. It's now Wednesday of the following week and I've just had an email to say the payment has been processed but can take 3-5 working days...absolutely ridiculous. I sent my phone off at the start of July and it's now 6th august. DO NOT USE IF YOU WANT QUICK PAYMENT!!!!

I would not use this company again . Even after my phone had been excepted and cleared it took over 17 days 3 emails and 4 calls to finally get my money . On a positive note the advisor at customer service was very helpful .

“Shockingly slow payment process”

Though RPC were quick to process the phone with regards to its suitability, the payment process turnaround has been appallingly slow. It has taken over 3 weeks for a message to sent to tell me payment has been sent and I'm still awaiting for the monies to appear in my bank account. If RPC wish repeat business, this has to improve.

Wish I had read the reviews 1st. They reduced my payment by 30% due to light scratches on the screen. Hmmm this phone had had a screen protector on all its life...... If there were any scratches they will have been insignificant. Looks like they just play a numbers game. Offer the best price then reduce it when they have your phone, in the hope a certain percentage of people will simply accept it. Bit like the old bait and switch tactic. Well we live and learn. Would recommend you explore other options.

“Very Slow Service”

Unlike some of the other clients RPC did agree the full price for my phone however when it comes to payment they are very slow. I sent the phone on 18th of June and it took them until the 24th to appraise it. They have emailed today, 4th July, to advise me that payment has been sent to my bank account however they say that this can take 3-5 days to transfer into my account. I have dealt with other recyclers in the past and have never had to wait this long for my cash. I won't use them again and I wouldn't recommend them.

“poor communication with payments longer than advertised”

Very disappointed with service. Had to remind for payment 6 working days after transaction processed. Faq state payment in my account 2-3 days after being sent but noted on email it now takes 3-5 days. So this means over a fortnight from sending phone to payment received. Still waiting for payment to appear. Would not use again and definitely not recommend to others

It has taken telephone and email calls to get this payment released and sent to the bank. It was all agreed and was only released for payment 9 days down the road. Service not as promised and the company could not explain why.

“The condition of the mobile”

Seller beware! Even if you belive that your phone is within 'normal wear and tear' bracket it does not mean that RPC would agree - 30% of the agreed price - somehow one light scratch turned into "signicant wear and tear with numerous scratches". £3 loss charged to me for the retun of the mobile.
