“Harrogate Nuffield”

Written on: 21/05/2016 by Victoria209 (1 review written)

Poor decision - So called new 'Company policy?' To only give out one towel to swimmers with long hair even though membership is not cheap. Surely they can manage a second towel to avoid long wet hair! This is ridiculous. If ones using the gym only, one would be sufficient. Members are supposed to enjoy their visit, relax and de-stress. Not be annoyed by unnecessary changes! Please have a rethink for your customers sake… Read Full Review

“safeguarding”

Written on: 14/04/2016 by AllisonCollins (1 review written)

Aylesbury Despite many complaints about the use of mobile phones and tablets by the poolside and believe it or not in the changing room where there are naked children and adults,no cubicles, the staff just do not enforce their policy of not being allowed to use them. I would be very guarded about taking children to this pool as it would be very easy to photograph them without anyone knowing… Read Full Review

“Nuffield St Albans - there are better cheaper gyms”

Written on: 13/04/2016 by 153Kirkland (1 review written)

Nuffield St Albans is a big unfriendly gym. There is very little help available if you need some direction (unless of course you want to pay for it) and it is dominated by very young people (young women on reception and a lot of young men actually in the gym.) For that reason if you are slightly older or are a family you would be best off going to Westminster Lodge in St Albans or Cotlandswick (a brand new council run gym that while much smaller, is bright, clean, welcoming and has everything… Read Full Review

“Nuffield Wimbledon”

Written on: 23/03/2016 by HarleyWebster46 (1 review written)

I went to Nuffield Wimbledon asking about memberships and contracts because I am moving soon and would like to change gym. His answer was so so RUDE. When I told him which gym I frequented he just already said that this is too expensive compared to the other one and that I should not even bother. Like I could not afford it. Not in this words obviously but with this attitude. Really RUDE. Probably I'm going to BETTER or VIRGIN ACTIVE. You lost a costumer because of it… Read Full Review

The number of swimmers that emerge from changing rooms bone dry is a concern. Despite the notice in shower area requesting people shower before using some don't comply. Some people are just not with it when it comes to personal hygiene… Read Full Review

Written on: 04/03/2016 by JaylenTaylor (1 review written)

I think Nuffield Sheffield is over priced for what you get & if you do a corporate membership you only got £5 off which is rubbish in comparison to Virgin. The staff are very polite & friendly & its a great location but classes during the day especially are not good but for those of us that work on an evening that's the only time we can attend. Please can we have some more dynamic classes like TRX classes I know the combat trainer teaches it elsewhere so why dont we have it? Also 1 class of… Read Full Review

“Nuffield Cottingley - Disappointing”

Written on: 03/03/2016 by Alisa1991 (1 review written)

Nuffield Cottingley could and should be an excellent gym. I would have to describe it as disappointing and its customer service as not good - 4 out of 10. After four years I decided not to renew my membership, mainly out of disappointment and frustration. Routine, basic maintainence seems to me somewhat neglected, work out machines not replaced when taken out of action, pool area could be cleaner, customer service difficult to get a response from, staff a little disinterested in customers (half… Read Full Review

“Ilford Gym”

Written on: 13/02/2016

One of the worst gyms that I have come across. For the past 1 week, there no swimming pool ; no sauna; no stream room ; no hot showers but they are happy our take the money monthly. How long can they continue providing such as terrible facilities? They should be ashamed of the service provided. Join this gym only as a last resort!!!!… Read Full Review

“Disappointing”

Written on: 02/02/2016 by KinsleyDavis (1 review written)

I went for my regular afternoon swim today at cheam to find that most of the pool was taken over by children.two lanes where roped off for children's swimming lessons which is fair enough but the middle of the pool wasn't and the duty manager informed me it was a free for all! This is very unfair for adult members who are being restricted and priority given to children… Read Full Review

“Our fees have gone up but the state of the club at...”

Written on: 14/12/2015 by Highways (1 review written)

Our fees have gone up but the state of the club at letchworth leaves a lot to be desired. The tiles on the shower ceilings have been mouldy for months and the new tiles have still not materialised. The spin drier in the ladies section is out of order again. Many of the chairs in the coffee lounge are falling apart and we now hear the Coffee vouchers for "buy nine get one free" are to be discontinued… Read Full Review

“Norbury - Good Facilities and Welcoming Staff”

Written on: 15/11/2015 by DeeDee222 (1 review written)

I feel very satisfied with the service I've received so far at the Norbury Nuffiled leisure centre. The staff are on the whole welcoming and happy to help. There is a good range of equipment and I tend to go after 8pm so it's never busy. The pool, sauna and steam room are clean and a good way to relax after the gym. I can only think of minor improvements. Some of the reception staff could be more attentive as I have a couple of times waited to be served only for someone else to barge in and… Read Full Review

“Cottlingley pool safety poor ”

Written on: 11/10/2015 by theFireman (1 review written)

I see that several others have made similar points and I agree with trussler's view back in July. It is very poor to have a fire exit from the pool permanently obstructed with a chair, towels, shoes, a rugby ball files and a flimsy storage just at the side. This is a narrow exit as it is and is already limited on the outside by rails. It it between two sets of steps from the pool so it likely to be well used in an emergency. Perhaps HS legislation doesn't cover private member's clubs but this… Read Full Review

“Nuffield Health,Highpoint Village,Hayes. Middlesex”

Written on: 08/10/2015 by HazelMcLean (1 review written)

The fittness classes booking systems is really Archaic, you cannot book a place for a class a day before, not even an evening before. You cannot book on line, you can ONLY TELEPHONE on the day of the class from 8am. So, if a particular class is popular, you don't stand a chance of booking a place, unless you are poised with your dial finger at 8am. If you are unfortunate enough to be driving or commuting, forget it!!!!!!!!! This system is rubbish, the staff are really helpful so its not their… Read Full Review

Dear customer,
Thank you for your feedback. We have recently trialled online booking at one of our centres with mixed results. Although it can provide a good user experience in some instances, we have found that it also causes issues with poor attendance, thus limiting the ability of other people to access the classes on the day.
Similarly other companies then have to implement banning systems for serial non-attendees to classes, which we do not want to implement on our members.
I am sorry that you are not happy with our class booking process. This feedback will however be shared with the central office and senior management at your site.
Thank you for sharing your constructive feedback on the review centre website.
With regards,

This morning I received a letter from Nuffield hell club!! stating that I have been banned from all Nuffield health clubs due to my apparent aggressive behaviour towards a member of staff at the Letchworth club, the manager there Mel loten took it upon herself without even hearing what I had to say, to make this decision, however the truth is that the lifeguard I had a incident with actually tried to intimidate me and actually made a racial comment towards me so when I stood my ground and… Read Full Review

“Nuffield Sheffield - Budget gym at rip off prices”

Written on: 22/09/2015 by ReesePeterson206 (1 review written)

Since Nuffield took over from Greens gym in Sheffield, it's gone rapidly down-hill. The changing rooms haven't had a lick of paint since Nuffield took over and most of the equipment is battered or broken. Worst of all is that non-members can now book their children into swimming lessons. I didn't join Virgin as it's full of children and Greens used to stipulate children needed to be out of the gym by 5. The female changing rooms and showers are now bedlam between 5 & 6 and it's now like my… Read Full Review

Dear Customer,

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the gym experience that you have had at our Sheffield Fitness and Wellbeing centre.

Your feedback has been shared with the general manager, in order to ensure he has a 360 viewpoint of member’s feedback about the site. Our recent swimming initiative (in association with the ASA) is part of our steps to improve the uptake of swimming in the general population, however we are mindful of the impact this has on other members and the general manager will use your feedback as part of future review of timetables.

With regards to the equipment we urge members to report faults so that these can be logged and generally repaired within two weeks. In some instances however the engineer will need to order new parts that can subsequently extend the repair window. I would like to apologise for any inconvenience this has caused to your gym routine.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback your recent experiences and would like to once again apologise that you are not happy with your recent experiences with us.

With kind regards,

Ben

“Unsafe for Any Child?”

Written on: 04/09/2015 by vpEwing427 (1 review written)

The matter of cameras, and filming inside Nuffield Health at their Brondesbury gym has consistently been raised. Some people, including staff, like to film their workouts, and in doing so, capture other people in the background who do not want to be filmed. This film can later be seen by a global audience, should the people filming wish it to be. There has been a small sign in the gym saying that mobile phones must not be used, but this has never been enforced. The response given by management… Read Full Review
