I ordered an Ascot Sofa set and I did not suspect anything wrong and in fact it arrived 5 weeks later. The delivery company were very helpful. Once I had opened the packages I found the glass off the table was badly chipped. I have written 4 times add tried to phone on numerous occasions but the phones and emails are not answered. having ordered the 9 piece cube set, I tried to call, email on numerous occasions with no response from Rattan direct, when someone finally picked up the phone I was able to arrange for the furniture to be delivered some two weeks after the order being placed. As you quite rightly pointed out, we have recently transferred our Inventory Management System to a new order processing software database as well as upgrading our phone network.

We received the smaller part of our order, but no word as to the rest(despite money being taken). Suffice to say, I have had no response to multiple calls and emails. It seems likely the company is no longer fulfilling it's responsibilities and would not recommend you enter any transaction with this firm. (read more)

The company has not responded to my email cancelling one of the orders, my voicemail messages or my calls to any of the three numbers mentioned on their web page. We had a set deliverd last year on time and an initial problem with a couple of the units was sorted out effeciently. However, one of the zips on a cushion has broken and initially I was told that this would be dealt with and that I would be rung back the same day. I am very worried, I ordered my sofa set end of April, my husband spoke to someone at Rattan Direct at the beginning of last week and was told it would be delivered on Friday 10th May, It didn't turn up, the constant sign at the top of the web page saying they have only 1 phone line working has been there for over a week, a busy company would have had this repaired very quickly. Placed an order 7 months ago for over £1,000 worth of furniture and still haven't had the full delivery. I thought the prices were reasonable but even at half the cost we paid it wouldn't be worth the stress they cause you. Constant delays and excuses with no support and very little communication from the Company. I have ordered 2 sofas and waited in last week for delivery. They came with wrong furniture. Waited in again this week and they have delivered wrong sofa, 1 sofa and a table with no legs. I finally made contact this morning. The company have agreed at no cost to me to collect the wrong furniture that they delivered. My husband who is a press photographer has photographed the furniture with no legs and the chips to it to ensure that we are covered.

Rattan Direct have assured me that once it is collected and returned to them I will have an immediate reimbursement on to my credit card. The furniture is needed for my wedding reception so I have had to find something else at very late notice. Before I comment and review I'm waiting to see that they hold their word and credit me the full amount that I paid including the additional £25 delivery fee.

The manager that I spoke to was very accommodating and apologetic and I made him aware of the reviews that are on this site. It's now just a awaiting game. A very stressful time made even more so without necessity. Lets see.

Finally got through on telephone, when I spoke to an advisor, who asked if she could call me back, once she had checked it was in stock. you will not get a reply to your email they never do.If you paid by credit card you wlll be safe and you should of got a copy of your invoice.the comapny is terrible i called them over my sofa and coffee table told me the coffe table was not in stock till the end of may i cancelled my order straight away and ask for a refund got the money put back in my bank today.This company is treating people like fools.Something is going .i have now just ordered a new sofa from a better company who answered the phone straight and have a good reveiws .i hope you get it sorted but something need about this company

I have had exactly the same issue. Our ascot set also turned up without the table and foot stool. One of the chairs was broken and a missing cover. We have called and called as well as emailing. No response. We are also going to trading standards and will be contacting our credit card company for a refund.

well I was lucky as furniture intact and cover good... Just hoping the table with footstools turn up as this is what made us choose this set... I did order a little side table from amazon on friday which came from the same company.. that came quickly and was good... but was smaller than expected as i was hoping to use to put drinks on till the big table came.. at least with amazon if there is a problem they will refund and discredit company :-)

“Extremely worried customer”

I ordered 2 sofas 9 weeks ago and a side table a few later paid in full. I have not received the items yet have emailed and telephoned many times. Managed to speak to someone on one occasion and was told furniture was not due in stock until end of April but stated on,one it was in stock. Vey worried now after reading the reviews on this site! I think that is just another excuse i clearly stated on the order the colour of the cushions was vanilla. The order number is 100001485 which was on my confirmation email from you. It is a shame to read of quite a lot of complaints regarding long delivery times from Ratton Direct as everything I have ordered from them h as been delivered very quickly and efficiently. I have emailed both sales@rattandirect.co.uk and enquiries@rattandirect.co.uk 7 times since the 30th April and nobody has replied. It's not acceptable that as the customer I have to spend all this time making 41,phone calls and sending 7 emails trying to find out what's going on. The order was placed on the 23 April and I should have been contacted with a delivery date within the 5 days or to confirm delivery on the date I selected which was the 1sy May. iif delivery wasn't going to take place within the 5 days or on the 1st I should have been informed. It's now 12 days after I placed the order and nothing. I'vebeen in touch with the citizens advice and I've now written a letter asking for a full refund of £269 as the Sales of Goods Act and the Distance Selling Regulations allows me to do so with the situation as it is.

Again, today I have head nothing from rattan direct despite emailing to both the sales and the enquiry teamsover the weekend. So I Still don't know anything about the order I placed on the 23rd April or about the letter I emailed cancelling the order. They have completely ignored me yet again.

The order was for a 2 seater ascot sofa to be delivered to stoke on Trent - the final 4 digits of the order was 2343.

If I don't have any success today I'm going to get in touch with trading standards tofind out what I do next as they haven't replied to any communication

Well they finally got in touch via using this website and not via the numerous phone calls or emails I sent to Rattan Direct and they said that they would deliver my order on Saturday and guess what?
