We booked this company for a returne transfer from faro airport to luz and back but they never showed up or answered any of my emails or calls luckily we never paid up front . I contacted another company called take me there and they were fantastic .

Adt Are A Bunch Of Total Con Artists
Do not use Algarve Transfer Direct. We also paid up from on arrival at our hotel as asked. They did not turn up for our return to the airport. We are out of pocket €138. They are ignoring our emails. On the morning of departure their Emergency! No was of course turned off.
Keep Clear of this Company!!!!
I wish I had read this post before I booked our transfer. We travelled as a family of four to the Algarve in August. His taxi car is old and he was also smoking before we got into the car!!! He brought us to our destination but failed to pick us up to return us to the airport! We called him and were told our driver was on the way. Then we got a text to say he was stuck in traffic. We waited and waited. We then tried calling both numbers supplied on the website.... Surprise surprise phones were switched off!!!!! (Name removed) had claimed he was going to refund our money but like previous posts, we never received any money!!!!! I have contacted relevant authorities in relation to our complaint. I really hope we can stop this man from stealing honest people's hard earned holiday money!! PLEASE STAY AWAY!!
Dear readers, in response to the ADT's comment just logged on the 27/05/2012, I wish to assure all parties, that my family and I did not get the service we paid for, we never changed any departure time. This is contrary to ADT's untruthful account that we in fact changed our departure time 7 times! Ridiculous is right!
ADT are still the same as I wrote about on the 15/10/2011. Only this time I feel they are trying to make me and my family out to be liars. If ADT replied to my emails and refunded me the €138.00 they owe me, then they would show they are trying to improve their service. John Costello. Limerick, Ireland, 28/05/2012
you did get the service you paid for arrival and departure , its not atd if you can not make your minds up for departure times , this was changed 7 times

They Were At Faro To Pick Us Up. Paid Up Front Upo
They were at Faro to pick us up. Paid up front upon arrival at villa in Carvoeiro.
However did not show up on day of departure, call made to ATD , who told us mini bus had broken down, and could we make our own way to airport, were a rep from ATD would be there to re-imburse money.
No rep could be found.
Upon return our e-mails are now being ignored after being lied to by Ed who stated on one e-mail that refund had been sent.
DO NOT USE , THEY ARE A BUNCH OF LIARS AND THEIVES.
ABSOLUTE CON.
DO NOT PAY UPFRONT UPON ARRIVAL.

Booked This Taxi Transfer Through The Website But
Booked this taxi transfer through the website but when I arrived at Faro airport with my family the driver was not there. I called the company three times, the first time I was assured the driver was en-route, the second time the phone was put down when I dared ask how long I might expect to wait and the third time there was no reply. I made alternative arrangements and during this time the driver from Algarve Transport Direct finally arrived, a full 1 hour and 15 mins after we had landed. He advised me that the his boss had problems with his phone! I declined to complete the transfer with him and suggested his boss should have a reliable phone if he is running a business. I have been travelling to the Algarve for ten years and this the first time I have had a problem with a taxi transfer. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.
glad to hear this, had booked for next week , but the fact they were looking for money up front did not sit right-
will cancel and find someone else.

Not On Your Life Should You Book With Algarve Tran
Not on your life should you book with Algarve Transfers Direct. They ripped us off! We booked on-line and made an arrangement to be picked up and Faro airport and to be brought to our vacation location in Luz - a return trip to be completed 2 weeks later. They picked us up and delivered us safely on our arrival. However, they insisted that we pay for the return trip up front (big mistake!!) - 150 euro! Not alone did they not turn up at the designated day or time - they did not turn up at all! When we finally got through to them they said that a car would be with us in 10 mins. Our taxi NEVER arrived. Also the owner, Ed, then refused to take our calls and he eventually turned off his phone! Our family were left high and dry and exceptionally late for our flight. They took our money and made absolutely no attempt to try and redeem themselves. They are cons.

Never Showed Up At The Airport And Had To Make Alt
never showed up at the airport and had to make alternative arrangements. Sent an email to them in response to "where were you" on theirs and told them we never saw them at the airport - asked people and went up and down the line of drivers 3 times! Took the train to Lagos and taxi from there - excellent! Gave them a second chance on the return journey and they never showed. Rang them and was told "any minute" - 45 mins later we had hailed another taxi. Luckily we left enough time. Totally unreliable. Don't bother with them.
