This company almost ruined our wedding. After accepting original payment they phoned day before wedding to say coach had broken down and we'd have to pay extra for another coach. Afterwards, they refused to acknowledge what had happened and did not provide written confirmation we needed in order to get money back from wedding insurance. After reading these reviews this seems to be a pattern. Please report them to watchdog, they cannot be allowed to carry on. (read more)

We booked a coach for a group going back to Gatwick Airport but the coach never showed up!. when we called to find out where the coach was, they couldn't give us an answer neither did they offer an alternative. We had to order an emergency coach with a different company and spend an extra £300. I made a formal complaint by writting the same day (they wouldn't let me speak to anyone in customer service). Hired a 49 seater executive coach for a wedding in April 2013 and the service I received was ridiculous. NO toilet facilities were provided as promised. I had young and elderly people on board and it caused so much inconvenience and difficulty. On two occasions I requested that a toilet be provided in the coach. we had a 49 seater bus book going to our wedding then back again at night. The day before the wedding we got a phone call saying that they did not have a driver and they were tying to get us another bus. several hours later we got told we would have a full refund and a cheque would be sent to us within 4-5 days. We paid £400 in total by card which had to be paid 4 weeks before or they would keep our deposit. momentum refused to put the money back into the account! it was less than 48 hours... (read more)

As a coach operator we have done some jobs for Momentum, we have done them satisfactory with no problems. However to get paid is another thing. The sales team always answer phone but the purchase ledger never do. in 3 months they are on their 3rd person in this department. They are only open 1pm to 4.30 pm. After phoning multiple coach companies for a trip to London. Momentum were the cheapest by far and I paid a deposit. A week later a rival coach firm phoned me to warn me about momentum. I phoned them straight away ready to cancel but they assured me everything would be fine. Then surprise surprise they emailed me a week before the trip and tried to increase the price by £400. Nice! My brand-new wife and I were given no option but to ask all our Wedding guests to pack up and leave the reception early or risk having to make their own way 20 miles to their hotel with no notice. Booked a coach from Momentum for a group of children with medical needs for a day out. Call from company the day before the trip to change the coach type. Coach was late and the luggage area full of bin bags and empty alcohol bottles. Worse still the rear tyre had a split along side its wall. That is a complement. Dont use them We hired an ""Executive coach with a toilet but, one arrived which Noah used to get to the Arc. At Oxford, we changed coaches to a smaller one which is used to take small children to school. Age restricted the speed to 45 mph. The driver was a super guy, he said they get loads of complaints as Momentum book the coaches after you have booked The trip was taking clients and friends to Twickenham. We were understandably concerned looking at the reviews but I am happy to say that all went as planned and they provided a great service. Our driver was friendly to all in the party and was available on his mobile the day before for any problems. The day didn't start well with the driver arriving an hour late with no apologise but blaming us for being in a 'hard to find' location. When I booked the coach for 16 people I specifically requested a toilet and I was informed that I needed to pay for a large coach for the privilege. Coach turned up, it had a toilet but was out of action. I complained and requested compensation. Various excuses that person dealing is out of office or jobs have changed. Was eventually offered 50 voucher, which isn’t even close to the difference between 16 seat and 45 seat they made us pay for. Would not recommend to others! (read more)

I would never used this service again and would only recommend if you hope to have a good excuse for getting out of the event they are taking you to. They turned up 45 minutes late, took us right through central London - just used a sat nav, no local knowledge whatsoever. Then couldn't find the venue - no forward planning. Out of the 5 coaches ordered, just one turned up nearly on time - being only 5 minutes late. 2 further coaches were 30 minutes late, and two coaches did not show up at all. This is absolutely appalling service. Not only this, I have called a number of time to complain, each time being told my phone call would be returned within 30 minutes. Hired for a wedding for two location pickup and two return journeys later in the day. Was 30 minutes late and driver said was unable to access the first location despite it being a Hilton hotel with regular coach parties arriving according to hotel staff. First lot of passengers had to be shuttled to second location by wedding cars. Driver was unaware it was a wedding and said he was only booked for one return journey. They failed to provide the vehicle. As a result we had to hire taxis, and the shoot over-ran by two hours. The total costs incurred were over £3,000. Sorry to hear about this. We operate a coach company in west London I was just reading this companies reviews as a customer just told me what a bad experience they had. I personally think that you should try suing them for false advertising because they don't actually own any of there own vehicles, they are just a broker but don't make that very clear. As I read the other reviews about Momentum Coach Hire, I understood that I am one of many who have been duped by this bunch of theives. This wasn't a one off- this coach company is a complete scam and I can't believe they haven't been shut down. Booked a 15 seater for an airport pick up in the middle of the night, paid in full beforehand and they didn't turn up. What a shambles of a company. I hired a 53 seater "luxury" coach for my son's wedding day. The driver details texted to me were wrong and I woke someone up on a sunday morning at 6am when the coach failed to arrive trying to ring the driver. The coach eventually arrived at 07.40am (1 hour 40mins late) This made the whole days proceedings very late as we had to travel 3.5 hours to get to our desitination. We sent a schedule into MT and they came back and charged us extra for having some back and forth routes at the end of the day (i.e. picking up people from hotel and bringing them to the reception - the last job). booked coach for the 30th march 49 seater everyone turned up to get the coach - there was no coach the driver had phoned in sick that evening and they could not get another driver so we all could not go to birmingham for my friends 50th birthday night out.
WE WILL NEVER EVER USE THEM AGAIN - HAD TO WAIT 4 WEEKS FOR MY REFUND AFTER BEING TOLD ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS THAT THE MONEY WAS SENT IN THE POST. I DO NOT KNOW HOW SOME PEOPLE ARE SAYING THAT THEY WILL USE THEM AGAIN. ALL I CAN SAY ITS UP TO THEM AND IT IS THEIR LOSS. WE WILL NEVER EVER SPEAK OF THIS COMPANY AGAIN WE HAVE ERASED THEM FROM OUR MIND. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL MEMBERS OF STAFF. DONT USE THEM
