Avoid at all cost. Once delivered broken product even though one would think it was impossible to break it. Second time worse nightmare - drivers keep leaving the card without even ringing the bell properly (I missed them while at home!) and not even trying neighbors even though I specifically asked. My parcels are now going back to the sender and this is all costing me a lot of money. I was due to receive a delivery of a new hub from Virgin Media and was informed that it could be left with a neighbour if I was out. The driver did not go to my neighbour's address and didn't even leave a calling card. Upon contacting Yodel's customer support line (an automated only service) and attempting the rearrange the delivery, I was given the message: - "I'm afraid we can't change the delivery date until at least one delivery attempt has been made, goodbye and thanks for your call." this company would not know customer service to save their lives! they don't show up, they will tell you over and over it is on its way when it is not even on a truck and you will spend days on end waiting on them with only a chat option to speak to them and they don't even bother to help you there and they disconnect if u have a complaint...never, never, NEVER USE THIS COMPANY IF U WANT TO KEEP YOUR CUSTOMERS HAPPY!!!!!!!… Read Full Review

“Appalling Service”

The client - Virgin Media - told parcel was not delivered as no one at the house. No attempt was made to deliver the parcel. Investigations by the customer demonstrated it was sent to the wrong courier covering an area 65 miles away who sent it back to the depot. This was recorded as a non-delivery. Why the agent went away for so long on the online chat without saying why she had to do this was extremely poor. Speaking to others at the same time perhaps? No details were given to enable me to complain about my item not being delivered today as it should have been, and only a pathetic apology telling me it'll be delivered tomorrow. Unfortunately over the years, the Open University has chosen to use Yodel for their book deliveries. I am in my sixth year of studying and have never, NEVER received my books on time through Yodel. So far, my books have been sitting in my local depot, 8 miles away, for nearly 48 hours with no movement - other areas in the country have already delivered so I know that it is possible to provide a relatively efficient service, even from Yodel, just not from Chessington. I was told that I would receive a text with an estimate of the time the delivery was due. Nothing. Contacted webchat to be told I wasnt allowed this service as I hadnt paid for it. ??? I am a self employed I.T.technichian with a good reputation for reliability in my area. I recently ordered some components from ebuyer for a new client and had a delivery date of 22nd August. The parcel failed to arrive although their tracking showed that it reached the depot on the 20th.I contacted the client who agreed to wait another day or so but couldn't delay more than that. Waited in for item that had to be signed for. The parcel was just left in the porch no attempt to knock door. Phoned yodel to complain within a few hours there was a rude abrupt man shouting that we had reported the parcel stolen we told him that it should of been signed for he told us he had a signature for it we asked to see it and was told they don't keep them. Yodel claimed they delivered Tuesday 11:06. We casually told them that is not possible. Yodel adamant they are correct and continue to lie quoting precise data at me. To describe Yodel as a delivery company is ridiculous as they just don't deliver. They text you to say that they have tried to deliver and left a card, yet the doorbell never rings and the card never materialises. When you query where your parcel is they fob you off onto the supplier of your parcel. And that's it. They say they cannot reimburse you because the contract is between you and the supplier, not you and them. Pathetic. How this firm is in business I do not know. I was asked by the seller to check the glass table for damage before signing for it. First of all, the Yodel guy didn't ask me to sign for anything. In fact, he did not even wait for me to open the door. He just put it outside my door was back to his van. “Yodel are nreliable, careless, dishonest”

Unreliable because they can leave you waiting in all day, then not turn up. They turn up to their own random schedule without giving sufficient warning - sometimes earlier than expected (both time AND date), but often later! Careless because they drop your parcels off - often expensive items - outside your property for anyone to pilfer. Booked for a parcel collection. Day 1 they just didnt turn up, no notification, no apology. I had to call, then Day 2 & 3 no collection, the online tracker said no-one home and they had left a card - untrue, someone was there and no card was left. Day 4 & 5, just nothing. I sent a parcel to myself from Australia to the UK via Australia Post. It was a photo tripod inside a mailing tube. I had to take a few of the handles and screws off of the tripod to fit it in the tube, and left them inside the tube too. Web site tracking information stated received at hub and would be delivered next day, this was changed to read delivery within 72 hours (I paid for 48 hour service) contacted supplier, was informed parcel was lost??? I have yet to visit Yodel site and NOT SEE WE ARE CHATTING WITH OTHER CUSTOMERS TRY AGAIN IN A COUPLE OF MINUTES. yodel delivered our package to what they think is the correct address, my girlfriend was in all week, never left once .... after checking, they apparently did deliver to the address, xxxxxxxx , trouble is they didn't,,, they delivered to a Tesco store somewhere (they cant tell me where) , but insist it is at my street address,,,,,, there is no store here, not even in the street.... never has been, its all residential.... and they say its not our fault... parcel still missing… Read Full Review
