I ordered flowers through Marks & Spencer's for a friend who has just been diagnosed with cancer. I thought some surprise flowers would be the ideal gift. I received email confirmation that the flowers had been delivered and left "in my safe place" which is odd as I never advised of a 'safe place' to leave them. I ordered an item for my holiday via a well-known and trusted retailer and paid an extortionate price for next day delivery. This company is an absolute joke! Literally everything is wrong from the start to the end. Both when I had to deal with them personally or by company I'm working for. 1. Terrible service - every other delivery company (DPD, Hermes and three different grocery companies in the last six months) can find my house -- but Yodel have just failed to deliver a parcel to me for the second time, having claimed no one was in and they left a card. I was in the whole time (and actually expecting a delivery from another company during that 1 hr slot, so very attentive to anyone at the door). I requested next day delivery & received email confirming item delivered & signed for, queried this via livechat & with supplier as didn't receive item. The supplier indicated from their GPS records item was delivered to another address miles down the road & on the other side of the road. Have spent hours on live chat to get nowhere. “utterly useless, avoid in the most extreme way!!”

issue tracking numbers when they don't even have the parcel in their system physically, the online web chat is extremely slow 30 mins plus to get an answer to simple questions, call centre managers talk over you and tell you, your wrong. i'd only recommend the company to someone i really hated and even that would be a step too far as no one deserves this level of incompetence. i'll never use a company or a seller who insists on using yodel. and i recommend everyone else does as well and maybe… Read Full Review

Got orange card today, can't deliver even though neighbours are home! I call the freephone number to find out where local service centre is, no joy, just two options, get redelivered at their convenience or pick up from local service centre! This is an automated call, no person to speak to. I will never use this Yodel again. We booked twice via Parcel2go - twice promised a collection between 08:00 and 18:00. You'd think this would be a big enough time window but no.. on both days the driver turns up after 7, when we've all finished and gone home. “Never Delivered”

My parcel was never delivered to me and ended up being sent back. It is impossible to reach a company representative by phone, and the 'live chat' feature on the website is useless, representatives won't answer your questions and information doesn't get passed on to drivers. I live in a new development which has the same name as nearby development. Have been expecting a delivery. Heard a noise and went to front door to see Yodel van but no sign of driver. He came down the road, handed me a card and said he had left it with a neighbour. I asked why he had not rang the doorbell which is very loud and works fine and he replied that he had done. This was nonsense as we have a small dog that goes beserk when the bell is rung. Waited in all morning. Downstairs windows open, car in drive, obviously someone at home. Nipped to the bathroom, and lo and behold, the driver has been and gone,! Once again the yodel failure to deliver strikes again! Tracking device indicated they held live plants for over two weeks before returning to sender, 10 days was out for delivery & they didn't manage it, now contacted company & apparently I refused delivery!!! Don't dial They charge 1p per minute plus your phone operators charge. It's takes forever for the automated service to work out what you're asking for. And the service tells you absolutely nothing that you can't find about your parcel more quickly yourself online. There is no one to talk to and Yodel walks away with you money when the call ends.
