Really disappointed. :( Had a Henry for years and decided to go hi tech. Complete waste of time and money Carpet brushes regularly clog therefore needing constant clearing and untangling Bag less idea hopeless. Dust everywhere when you empty it. Not great for asthma sufferer Hose not long enough for average staircase or ceiling. And Hoover just falls over Only plus is the little turbo accessory which is great. Shame it comes with a useless vacuum Off to the tip with this and off to buy... (read more)

Let me begin by stating that Vax's customer service is second-to-none, highly rated and recommended. This hoover was given to us as yet another replacement for a hoover that gave up the ghost after just a few years. And after three weeks of use, we can safely say that this is the worse Vax hoover yet. I understand it is sold as being lightweight, but this product just feels horribly cheap and flimsy, and wouldn't last anywhere near the 6 years Vax guarantee the product for. The hoses that... Great vacuum, really lightweight and powerful. Had several other cheaper alternatives but this one is by far the best. Labradors seem to moult all year but this vacuum clears all carpets and rugs in minutes. The filters are easy to clean (that IS important) so it works great. Yes, swapping the hose to use the stretch hose requires half a minute extra but, hey, it really isn't that much bother? No is my answer. Did have a problem 3 years after purchase (my daughter managed to make it stop... (read more)

This is probably the worst vacuum cleaner I have ever had. It's unwieldy, badly restricted in manoeuvrability, and use of the various attachments requires a major dismantling, making the cleaning take half as long again. The stretch hose WILL reach the top of a standard staircase,as advertised, but the smallest movement causes the vacuum (at the bottom of the stairs) to topple over. Trying to vacuum the edge of a carpet causes the wheels to snag, and with the brushbar on carpet setting, all but... (read more)

I found this hoover is fantastic.Lightweight for lifting up and down stairs and has brilliant suction. I previously had a Dyson and I find this Vax cleaner, lighter and very easy to use. I am converted. Works and adjusts brilliantly on carpets and wooden floors. Would recommend this hoover. Light, powerful and very easy to use.

I was torn between the Dyson and the Vax but bought the Vax based on the reviews and price plus we prefer an upright cleaner. We are pretty impressed so far. We love the style, weight and ease with which it copes with all the different surfaces from hard floors to thicker pile rugs. The fact that you can switch off the beater bar for hard floors is genius. We have a teenager and a dog which do challenge any vacuum cleaner. Having had a Sebo for the last ten years I was worried about... (read more)

My Vax simply does not work for more than 5-10 minutes before cutting out. It’s been back to Vax and they gave a full clean bill of health stating nothing is wrong and the cutting out is simply a safety option!! Who needs a vac that only works for 5 minutes. And for picking up hair?? Rubbish. My 4 year old Morphy Richards I use for the car is better. I am fighting with Vax for a credit. Thank you for reading.. (read more)

most of these bagless cleaners have thermal cut outs, and they do cut out a lot of the time, keep all the filters clean and clear, this helps.
i have had several of the bagless lower end cleaners over the years and my range would be based on product and cuistomer service after care....very poor, Hoover, to Vax, Dyson and Panasonic being good.
Is your Morphy Richards cleaner a bagless as well?
Good luck with Vax, i have found the customer service team very understanding and helpful in my dealing with them.

I have also found that this apology for a vacuum cleaner cuts out after 10 to 15 minutes and will not restart for about an hour. The filters are clean but to no avail.

Here is what I think. The easy of assembly was great, and within a few minutes I was up and running. It picked up everything I threw at it. Doing the stairs was easy with the attachment and the long hose. I could do the whole stairs with out moving the vac. On the hardwood floors it a dream. The suction was fab, and the control button for turning on and off the beater bar is positioned in the right place. The handle is adjustable, taller guys don't break there back, so all different height... (read more)

F A B U L O U S. I have been liberated. Not only does this vacuum do the job brilliantly you do not have to be a body builder to lift it upstairs. I replaced my Dyson with this little beauty and I know I will never own another Dyson again. If I wanted to be picky I would say that Dyson wins so far as the hose stretches and retracts whereas the Vax needs its extension attached but that is the only very infantisimal negative about it. Do not hesitate - buy one - you will wonder why you... (read more)

I purchased this the Vax Mach Air Reach a few days ago, and I have to say it's a very good vacuum cleaner. Prior to purchasing I read a few reviews and some said about the tools falling off. If you look at the instructions carefully it shows how they should be stored, and they don't fall off. The two tools actually slide together and click at a stop button, but to secure them properly this button needs to be pushed in and the tools pushed further together. My only slight gripe is that... We recently had to replace our vacuum and this one had great reviews so we decided to give it a go.
So far we have been impressed. It is small and light and easy to use, far more so than any other vacuum we have tried.
It also sucks very well, when vacuum carpet it literally sticks to the floor. So for upright cleaning it is great.
Unfortunately like most other vacuums the attachments click on fairly loosely and are constantly being pulled off by the kids and getting lost. I wish...

Since writing the above review my wife has since pointed out to me that the extender tube is actually the handle, you just detach it and attach it to the tube.

Having struggled with the original Dyson for years I decided that I did not want another. What a great decision that was - this really is a great bagless hoover. Cheaper than a Dyson and better, lighter, as much suction, longer extension lead and I would recommend 'the switch' to anyone. We do have pets and it does the job extremely well. (read more)

With trepidation I purchased this vacuum after a previous purchase of an upright bagless vacuum. It was the Electrolux Vitesse and it was always cutting out after about five minutes and as for replacing belts I think I became a bit of an expert.
It took me a long time to make the purchase of the Air Reach because I had been considering the Mach Air, but there seemed to be a couple of niggles regarding the length of hose and cable, and because I also required it for the car as well I held...

JUST THE SOLUTION TO 2 GOLDEN RETRIEVERS AND A BRITISH BLUE!
The VAX Mach Air Reach is a great vacuum cleaner, small and lightweight with big cleaning capabilities .... and quiet too.
I just opened the box and slotted it together - so easy and ready to go in minutes

The Mach Air Reach was very easy to assemble from straightforward minimal instructions. First use of the Air Reach was also easy and familiarisation only takes a few minutes. The machine is very powerful which appears constant. There is no messy bag to empty and the filter can be removed and simply washed so there is no additional expense in purchasing bags and filters. The machine is light to use and manoeuvre and stairs, at last, become a doddle with the long attachment hose. There... (read more)

Vax U90-MA-R - The Vax with the x factor!
This machine was an upgrade from my previous bulky Vax, which is at least a decade old, so I couldn't wait to try out my new Vax Mach Air Reach (Vax U90-MA-R), the new and improved model of the already highly rated Vax Mach Air... and it certainly lives up to all its claims and beyond!

I took delivery of this vacuum cleaner about two weeks ago and to be honest was very apprehensive of its performance due to its size.
However, from the moment I took it out of its very small box and clipped it together we haven't spent a day apart. I am finding excuses to hoover at every opportunity!
It has a very strong suction and this in turn has brought my 'soon to be thrown out' bedroom carpets back to life!! I hadn't realised that my current cleaner wasn't doing a thorough enough...

It can be used in conjunction with the removable handle or with the the powerful turbo tool cleaning stair carpets is simplicity itself. Perfect for carpets and hard floors by use of the on/off brush switch. Simple to empty by removing the dirt collector and with the press of a button the hinged bottom falls away and the dirt drops into the bin. I would highly recommend... (read more)

Vax Mach Air Reach U90-MA-R
My previous cleaner does the job well enough & i was quite happy with it apart from getting halfway through cleaning the stairs then i'd have to go up or down to change plug sockets, many times in the past i've got to the top (or bottom) & discovered i wanted an attachment that i hadn't brought with me, this cleaner solves both of those problems by having a super long lead & onboard attachments.
The suction is wonderful & i love the little mini head attachment...

I have had my Mach Air Reach now 2 weeks and there are things I love about it and some things that I would change. I am in the middle of moving house so I have put the machine to a good test.
I love the size of the machine as it stores away very easily and the length of cable allows me to plug in 1 room and vacuum through to the next. Although I wish there was a way the cable automatically retracted as there is a lot of cable to wrap round at the back of the machine.
I love the switch that...

I have used this vacuum cleaner for just over a week now and I am extremely pleased with it. When I first took it out of the box I had my doubts as to whether it would be any good as it is a lot lighter and smaller than uprights I have used previously. Mach Air Reach is Vax's second model of their brilliant Mach Air. I have been a Mach Air fan since I bought one last year. The beauty of this wonderful machine is that it is really light and makes 'hoovering' the carpets an absolute joy. I had previously had several Dyson's and so I was 'sold' on the bagless gyclonic suction which Mach Air has too but I was really feeling the weight of the dyson machine. Have had one of these for two weeks now and recommend it for its lightweight and power. Easy to use on both carpets and hard floors, also with the extension tube and the turbo brush attached makes cleaning stairs pure simplicity. If you think your carpets are currently clean wait till you try this. I highly recommend this cleaner.
