A really good upgrade on the old site. I am quite resistant to change generally but the new site has really won me over. It has some great new features and just looks better. Strong odds and tonnes of events/markets to bet on. Good in play betting and love being able to cash out. A few minor niggles here and there (I would strongly recommend using chrome over Internet explorer for example) but overall a great gambling site that goes above and beyond what many ode other operators offer. I am a great fan of the Betfair site. Most importantly I find they generally offer the best odds. The site is easy to use once you get the hang of it and there are several features such as the cashout feature which I have never seen anywhere else. I also like the fact that I can back something not to happen (lay it). This is another thing I have never seen anywhere else. They always pay out my bets promptly and I have never had any trouble with them, so all in all a great site to gamble on... (read more)

“Not as fair as it used to be!”

I was a betfair customer for several years, however when the commission levels got raised it was time to shop around. Im currently betting at Pinnaclesports.com the site is not as nice as Betfair but the odds are better and the limits are often higher. Pinnacle don't do horses but good if you are a sports bettor. Betfair's site is easy to use and the customer service is excellent, however the odds are no longer the best in the industry other books have caught up and overtaken. (read more)

I've been with them for 10 years or so. They have a good site, plenty of liquidity and excellent customer service. The premium charge is a bit of a drain (they take 20% of your winnings if you're moderately successful and upto 60% if you're VERY successful). Their website (old version) works extremely well on a fastish connection. The new beta version is shockingly bad and I'm amazed they are trying to roll it out to customers. The forum is lively and there are some really good tipsters... (read more)

I have only recently started gambling on a regular basis and like anything else you want the most for your money, in gambling terms that means getting the best odds, and the best odds are almost always at Betfair. So what is Betfair?? Betfair is the world's biggest betting exchange, this differs from your usual bookmaker in that you actually bet against other gamblers, or peer-to-peer gambling. Why would people want to bet against each other?? You get better odds as the bookie's cut is taken... (read more)

If you are going to have a bet make sure you check out Betfair.

It maybe not the easiest ways to bet for a complete beginner (back and lay options) but once you've got use to it, you won't go back to any fixed odds company.

The odds are nearly always better value and with the option to lay your bet off, you'll struggle to beat it.

What's more the forum is full of good advice so make sure you check it out before placing a bet.

Its pretty hard to fault Betfair. You almost always get better odds compared to traditional book makers.

The information is very easy to find, you can refresh the odds to get almost a live stream and its extremely simple to put on a bet.

The only slight critism is that it is slighly more geared toward 'hardcore gamblings' rather than the occasional gambler as the some of the terminology is hard to understand for people that dont gamble much.
