We recently went on a three day break to Bruges, staying at the Hotel Ibis Centrum. This was booked through the AA. The Ibis is a two star hotel, perfectly comfortable and close to the city centre. It did the job, no frills, just the basic amenities which were fine. Bruges is a beautiful city, with old buildings, chocolate shops and canals. The hotel is about 15 minutes' walk from the station - no problems. Very good value for money, we paid under £200 each which included Eurostar fares and B & B. OK, eating out is not cheap but most restaurants do a 3 course "tourist menu" for around 20 Euros each. We would recommend the Gruuthusehof which was superb. Overall, highly recommended.
