I went through website selling half my DVD collection (keeping my favourites). I don't use them and thought why have them cluttering the place up. The site is easy to use. My son took a phone in to our local branch to sell they undervalued the phone by £70 and then took another £50 off for not having the charger with him. they did not tell him how long it would take to pay him or whether he can change his mind a get his phone back they were rude and arrogant and told him to take it or leave it. “Sharks, cheats and liars...”

They send out dangerous and faulty goods, goods that are nothing like the descriptions on their website, and if you complain, you can only contact a so-called "helpline" (just an email address) in India. I agree more information would be good, I have always had good service from CEX but I have never sold or bought online, I always go into the shop,

If you want good protection always pay with Paypal or a credit card, it is frowned upon by these payment methods not to have good contact numbers and address, if so they will nearly always get you your money back.

If you paid by credit card do a charge back, by Paypal put in a claim.

I went into cex today and got served by Daisy in wellingborough. I sold some DVDs and games and got given money in return. My partner then went to spend the money and got detained as the money was FAKE! I had to get a taxi to him to give him the receipt for cex so that we could get the "money" back to go to cex. This happens more than you would expect, I worked in a garage and was told by the manager to pass on fake money back to customers.....yes seriously, I flatly refused, always check money even from the bank, if it looks even slightly dodgy give it back and demand they change it, if they say they cannot call the police.

It's easier for a shop to pass fake notes than it is for you.......

Donegal,Ireland, was made by the young inexperienced so called manager to stand 1 and a half hours while they scanned each DVD and packed them individually, their computer crashed, no apology, no seat, no coffee, no communication. Exactly the same here in Australia, where they've exported their business model. The engineering student from Nepal who's staying with me had a horrible experience and I had to deal with it as under stress his English isn't the best. :-( There is now a group you can join on Facebook, 'Stand up to CEX bullies', where you can get encouragement and advice on the occasions when their service isn't up to par, which is nearly always.

I ordered a grade A Mac mini and received what can only be described as a dirty smelly well used marked chipped and scratched grade b. Plus if was barely protected in bare minimum bubble wrap. Considering this was supposed grade a it should have been in its original box with all the original accs. I will never buy from online cex again. If your buying or selling take your business somewhere else, this place is a rip off, they claim to be a trade in place and give better value that way, but the truth is they over charge you. Brand new PS4 and SF5 will set you back £300 in any shop, but, secondhand from this place, unboxed ps4 will set you back £260, then used SF5 would be £45, which totals £305! On multiple occasions they've reduced the prices of high quality products that I've brought in to sell and when they put it on display for much more!!!!!!!
