Absolutely livid, they quoted £300 for my Bentley which I knew was low but thought I'd give them ago ,collected my car on time,I told the guy to make sure my service light was turned off after the service he replied yes of course we are very professional, 4 hours later I had a call they wanted another almost £800 on top of the £300 I had already paid eventually after many words and feeling blackmailed I agreed, I was told the car would be returned in the afternoon, at 9,50 pm I was sitting in my lounge when I had a call from a neibour 4 doors up ,he said your cars sitting outside my house unlocked ,when I went to my front door my car key had been pushed through my door at no time my door was knocked . Next day I collected my car and the service light was still on ,I called the company and on 2 occasions was told the garage will call me back I'm still waiting ,I'm now wondering what they actually did for my £1200 . Ice booked my car in with another garage and they gave me a report to say most of the jobs hadn't been done ,I'm now in talks with trading standards and I'm livid with this company and plan to spread bad news on social media. I will not let this go .

With my 82 year old Mother in lockdown, she likes to keep on top of matters and wanted a service and MOT done on her car. Found this company offering Interim Service £65 (+VAT not told) and MOT £15 (+VAT not told). They phoned to say needed brake fluid and charged £77+VAT and antifreeze £66+VAT!!I could have bought both items and including a tip for someone to do it for £48. Disgraceful!!! Haven't replied to me emails either.

Booked my car in with service stop t for mot and interim service. Car was running fine heater was great just drove 250 miles weekend befor. Everything fine. But mot was due and thought I’d get mini service. Got my car back from them it was wrecked heater wasn’t working and steam or smoke coming from pipes.. they said they had to drain the coolant system but they’ve wrecke it. I only booked in with them as I’m a carer and my mum is disabled and has Alzheimer’s so cant leave her alone. So annoyed. They said I will be charged to fix it Never again going trading standards.

I used service stop in the past and was very satisfied, if things go well they are good. Unfortunately this time round things didn’t go well, I didn’t receive my car within the day as assured by the customer advisor, I had to contact them at five o clock because no one had yet got in touch, I had to go and pick up my baby car seat from the garage the day after, and one of the extra works I was recommended wasn’t probably really needed (I should have checked before approving the payment, when I asked to cancel that extra part half an hour after sending the payment it was apparently already too late, although it was six o clock and my car was not delivered on the day). The most disappointing thing is to get in touch with their customer service - after dealing with very grumpy and half bothered phone advisors- explaining honestly the situation and expressing disappointment, asking for a goodwill refund and being asked for a receipt for travel costs. I am sorry they fail to see the point and I am sorry to say I will never trust them or use them again.

This review is not aligned to the garage who have done a great job, this is purely on the service provided by Servicing Stop Ltd. Although the prices reflect a great deal, customers need to be fully aware of what they are getting. I asked for a full service and I was actually provided with a small service, that effectively covered the labour aspects of checking. Fortunately, my car had only 21k miles and therefore I wasn't expecting any major issues. After collecting the car, I received a call from Servicing Stop Ltd to say that the car needed 2 rear tyres at a cost of £480 and the Brake Fluid need changing at a cost of £72. I was also asked if I needed an 'Engine Flush', which I declined considering the low mileage. I also informed the salesperson that I thought the prices quoted appeared high and that I would try to source a more competitive price. I then called the garage and they said they could arrange for the tyres to e fitted for £350 and they could carry out the Brake Fluid change for a cost of £35, incl VAT. I arranged for alternative garage to fit my replacement tyres, the highest spec for my BMW and Brake Fluid change for a total of £380. This has provided me a saving of £152. The Engine Flush carried out by the garage would have cost me £10, considerable less that I was being quoted by Servicing Stop. I will continue to use the Quayside Southampton garage in future, as they spent the time to talk through the car, but I will not be using Service Stop Ltd as they are effectively a middleman looking for potential mark-up on any additional works, some of which may not be required.

I have used servicing stop for the last couple of years. It's always been OK,a few small issues, but my recent experience has put me off for life. 1. The garage told me that I needed brake fluid, anti-freeze, etc. I had that done 6 months ago. Something didn't seem right so I challenged it and had it covered by warranty. It made me question what else they hadn't done or whether they were trying to get a quick sale. 2. The garage didn't put my servicing book back in the car and it took me A MONTH of chasing to get this back. In the end I had to turn up to the garage and bang on the shutters - after they told me they would post it numerous times and said they'd deliver it numerous times. 3. My car has come back with dirty marks on the cream cloth seats more than once. I'm not too proud of the way my car looks but obviously not much care is taken with the vehicle. 4. Added costs - there are always added costs for oil, or if there's something that needs doing Overall disappointed with my last experience so I will not be using them again

My collection was cancelled 3 times in the span of 3 days, without previous warning (meaning AT the time of collection itself or even later). I work in a hospital, with patients and I had to cancel multiple appointments last minute, because they kept me hanging on. I contacted Service Stop in order to AVOID this and have my car taken and given back at a reasonable time, so I could attend my work duties. The company never apologised or offered me a discount for the inconvenience caused and when I called them to express my disappointment and ask for a minimum of service discount (more for the lack of respect they showed than anything else, really), they said they escalated the matter and would be in touch quickly. They never got back to me and it's been many days. Shocking service. I would NOT advice using them. EVER. Just look somewhere else, if you want efficiency and professionalism. The only reason I am rating it 2stars and not one is the kindness and politeness showed by the last driver my car was assigned to. He was the only reason they did not score a 1 star for me.

I was quoted £97.09 for full service and MOT on my Ford Focus. I received a call from Service Stop a couple of hours after my car was collected by the local garage. Due to the long list of works requiring carrying out I asked for a written quote. The quote came back as £1203.17! I phoned the garage who were carrying out the works to challenge them on the works. It turns out the garage give recommendations but then Service Stop up sell it to make money. Service Stop is a front man for local independant garages. Service Stop is not a garage and dont actually carry out works. They just have 'sales people' who try to convince you of the need to have works carried out, that's how they make money, they take a big chunk of the money quoted so you end up paying more than if you took the car directly to the garage yourself.. Be careful chaps, unless you know about cars you will be persuaded into having work carried out that is not necessary.

I asked customer services to provide two things. 1, a receipt. 2, a service stamp in my book. Car was collected without a problem. The cost increased well above the quote with 'Special Oil' and spark plugs etc. before they would return my car! The book was stamped but NO receipt. Called Customer Services. They ensured I would get one. 3 weeks later no receipt. Sent an email. They contacted me by phone and said they had contacted the garage and one would be sent. Another 2 weeks later no receipt. Phoned again. They said they had an incorrect email address for me ... yet they got my first email fine!! Phoned again another two weeks later and got the same reply. Still no receipt for the work done so can't sell my car without proper proof of full service history.

I had confirmation that my car would be collected before 9:00, but the driver didn't arrive until 10:10. I then had confirmation that I would have my car back by 4:30, when I finish work, but I had to wait around for 45 minutes. Trying to get through to customer services was often difficult and time consuming, and twice I resorted to phoning the garage directly. I ended up having to pay for work that I decided I didn't want done, because customer services insisted it had to be 'my' advisor who dealt with my request to change the instruction to the garage (immediately after I'd spoken to him, probably before he'd even had time to contact the garage); he didn't phone me back and by the time I got hold of him it was too late. The whole thing took up a lot of my day and caused huge amounts of frustration. I was also charged ridiculius prices for 'special' oil for a Fiesta and brake fluid, making a £70 service £218.I won't be using this service again.

Surefix Motoring Centre, Halifax - In principle I like the idea of what the Service Stop Ltd provide and it takes all the hassle out of having my car serviced or MOT'd. My reveiw is not based on the service the company provided but on the garage the Service Stop Ltd use!! My car was collected by the garage instructed to carryout the MOT on my Seat, the collection person arrived 40 mins late (not an issue unless you count they told us an exact time it would be collected and we told them we had to leave for work at a specific time and ended up being late!!). The MOT was completed in an hour and by 10am, great I thought!! Payment for the MOT was made within 10 mins of me being told it was completed, however my car was sat outside the garage for the next 6 hours and didn't move/delivered to my home address!! On seeing my car leave the garage on my way home from work in my other car, I followed my car only to see the delivery person using my car and fuel as a Taxi in order to give his girlfriend and mates a lift home!! When the car was finally delivered, the keys were thrown and my partner, we were told the MOT certificate was on the passenger seat only to find it not there!! I had to go to the garage the next day to collect it in person, when I spoke to the owner of the garage about what I'd seen his answer was "OH WELL WE'VE ALL GIVEN OUR MATES A LIFT HOME IN SOMEONE ELSE'S CAR FROM TIME TO TIME HAVEN'T WE". No I haven't actually!! I like the idea of whet the Service Shop Ltd can provide but they need to put more time into looking at who they're using on their behalf!! I know the garage my car was taken to and if I'd of known it was going there, I'd of never allowed it to be taken there!!

I cannot fault the convenience of the service and the Garages turned up promptly with cars returned on time. The first time I used the service was for a general service and no complaints. Possibly a bit more expensive than normal but generally OK. I had the car MOT'd in October last year and there seemed to be a push to keep adding on extra work that wasn't vital. I had the car serviced this March and again I couldn't fault the convenience but there was continual hard sell of work " needed to be carried out" with the result that the MOT and servicing costs were much higher than I had previously experienced. I was even talked into having an engine diagnostic , against my better judgement for £60 which the next garage refused to act upon wanting another £60 to do it themselves. At the end of the day an amateur like me does not know whether the work is really vital or not, and relies totally on the honesty of the garages concerned. But you get a sense that the main aim here is to continually "sell up" rather than provide value for money.

Dear Customer,
Thank you for getting in touch.
All advisory services we offer as part of our car services are strictly subject to the approval of the customer. Following the survey by our mechanics, it is our responsibility to explain the extra work recommendations that have been made to the customer and the reasons why we think they should be performed.
However, these recommendations are purely advisory. Servicing Stop will never perform any additional work without the customer’s permission. If you would like to discuss any of the work that was agreed to be performed on your vehicle we will be more then happy to do so if you call us or email.
Best Regards,
Dean

There's an old saying 'if it's too good to be true it probably isn't.' I booked a half price full service and MOT that ended up costing £290 for a car in good running order ca 6k/annum mileage. Local garages are clearly trying to pull in/make up the shortfall by guilting customers into either 'must have premium grade £££££ oils' or replacing brake fluid or antifreeze. Pick up was late by nearly two hours (traffic cited, which was wrong as the garage was 2 miles from my house). The aggressive and presumptious tone of the garage was cohersive to say the least....standards have slipped, costs have risen. I really would question the competetivenss of servicing stop compared to similar gargages....alot to pay for just a pick up and a drop off. A full checklist of what was covered and undertaken was not provided either.......

Had my car dne what should of been £92 cost me £291 needed anti freeze I was told that was over £50 anti pollution which was giving off a strong smell in the car well over £60 which has made no difference at all. Its the. Same as before still strong smell so still cannot have my heating on in the car. Sent few emails so far and still NO response back. If I am to pay out that much I want a response and work dne properly.. Still waiting to hear back. Will not use again.

Booked car in for full service online. Suooposed to pick car up between 9-10 in the morning. Received a phone call at 11.30 saying they where coming to pick up in the next hour. Car was picked up at 12.10. Was not impressed to start with. Didn't hear anything till around 4.30 saying that extra work needed doing. Was supposed to be receiving car back between 4-6. The work they said needee doing was brake fluid change which was £80, Pollen filter change at £60, coolant change at £75 and back brakes cleaned at £75. Told them to leave everything as I thought that was all expensive. Was told I could not leave the brake fluid change as it was a safety item. I agreed and the £94 service came to £205 with the fully synthetic oil. Think I had to have the brake fluid change done as a safety item.as garage had already done it possibly. Car was dropped off around 7 that evening. A hour after the stated drop off time. Would not use again. They make money by overcharging on the extra work that needs doing.

Found the collection and delivery of the car really helpful but that's about it. The garage itself weren't great and when I recieved the paperwork back it didn't have any of the additional things on it that I had had to pay for to keep my car under warranty, so therfore I had no proof it'd been done. It did cost quite a lot more than expected and the original quote was ridiculous! After refusing to pay that much, service stop said they would speak to the garage and when they called back the quote was over £100 cheaper! This makes me wonder what the extra cost was in the first place and where that money woukd have gone had I agreed to the first quote?!? (which some people would have done). Had problems with the payment system and had to ring up because I had no confirmation of payment email and they took £25 off me for my next service even though I didn't tick the box! I asked for refund, which they said they'd give me, but I still have never received one. I wouldn't use them again.

Having used Servicingstop 3 times, each time the same items were upsold, water in the brake fluid, pollen filters, antifreeze and battery energy levels. By the third time I had had enough. On the third occasion the car developed an oil leak immediately after the service, it took 4 weekd to get it inspected and surprise surprise, it was allegedly from a seal which would not have been inspected as part of the service. Quoted twice the cost of a local garage for the replacement of the seal, after which the slight leak was resolved by the crankshaft cover being tightened for just a few pounds Never again!

Whilst the mechanic from the garage came pick my car on 16/02 I mentioned that not to forgot to stamp the service book. When I received the car back I again asked is the service book stamped he again said yes. When I checked my service book the stamp was missing. I received a survey call from you and I also mentioned about this but no action has been taken since

loved the way that they picked up the car were a bit dissatisfied with the way that they took over night to return my car and after it had the service it broke down with a flat battery as an ex mechanic my self, next time I think I will do the work my self.

I was very impressed with the service on the front end everything was clear and driver turned up on time. I had a full service on my car at a competitive price. However when I had my car returned the steering was badly out even though I spent £57 to get it rectified. I don't know how you could deliver a car back with that problem. I took it to another garage as it was horrible to drive to find the alignment was out by a mile so did you even look at it? My service light was also left on and a few other bits I am not happy with. I have emailed the customer service dept 4 times now and have never recieved a reply.

Same things with me..on 16/12/2021...Looks the MOT CENTRES are aware..but they benefit too .was told a nail in my tyre as with regards to the other works..checked elsewhere no nail found as they were charging me 25£..to repair it..? Pagid brake pads cost me 172£ plus vat and realignment of headlights 88£ plus vat..I paid total 450£ including mot and interim service..unworthy ..to avoid AT ALL COSTS..UNLESS YOU DONT CARE ..DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THE GOVT IS NOT TAKING ACTIONS ...
