“MOT, Brilliant, cheap and worthwhile”

The cost of the MOT was half the price of other garages, they picked up and dropped the car back to my home. The chap that took my car was really pleasant and easy to talk to. We were told that our car needed a little bit of work to be able to pass its MOT, but cost wise was comparable to other garages. The whole thing as carried out in a timely manner and the car was brought back home two hours earlier than anticipated. Will definitely be using them again. (read more)

Had a full service (£200). The garage identified other issues which I knew needed attending to (like brakes) and sent their quote through to Servicing Stop, who in turn contacted me. The prices were astronomical! So I contacted the garage directly, and it turns out that the price they'd quoted to Servicing Stop was significantly less than SS quoted me. Their pricing seem to be a bit higher than kwikfit and halford, but the convinience of someone picking up and returning of the car seemed to be the bait. After claiming to have serviced my car within 2hrs of pickup i was told i have to pay an additional £68 for spark plugs in addition to the £200 charged for full servicing, i thought spark plug changing comes with full servicing. To pricey for what they offer, other service providers come cheaper and do the same thing (read more)

I booked this on line, a full service for my 54 plate BMW 320D. The cost was £218 and this included an MOT. My car was checked before it went in by a mechanic and he said it would sail through. The final bill was £638 for replacing both ball joints. The car drove perfect before it went in. The charge top prices for their parts too. I failed my MOT on 7 counts & they wanted £488 to fix all the bits for me to pass. I went elsewhere to a mechanic who is a friend of the family, for the work. Two of the things I failed the MOT on, bulbs, were actually working, so this work did not need doing. They also gave a fail for the indicator lights being the wrong colour. Absolute disgrace - Booked my vehicle in for a full service 4 days in advance and I was called at 6:30pm the night before to say the garage was now short staffed......but could fit me in the week later. As a business owner myself, I had rescheduled my whole day, which included sourcing a hire car. Do NOT use Servicing Stop, they are no cheaper than a main dealer and you will simply be charged for lots of extras. I paid for £195 for a full service on my 40,000 Audi A3. I was then told I needed a "special low ash oil - extra £20 and then £55 for a new polten filter." So my full service suddenly went from £195 to £295. Yes, I had the same problem with wanting cash for extras that should be included, I am seeing trading standards about them
