bought this today ,went home and charged the battery which took about 1 1/2 Hours.Put the battery in the trimmer and put it to work , I was very happy With the hob it did , it was not the cheapest trimmer on the shelf but I have other Bosch products and have been happy with them .to cap off There is nothing I didn't like about this trimmer and hope that if you buy one That you have the same experience I did. I purchased the Bosch AHS 48-16 Electric Hedge Cutter item in June 2008. April 2008 after spending the winter in the garage attached to the house and the battery had a life of 10 minutes, then 5, and now it will not work. Bosch tells me that I must pay them to investigate if this is my fault (battery is only covered for 6 months) and that a new battery is going to cost almost as much as the device itself.

Factor in the replacement cost of the battery (even with a three year life) and this... (read more)
