Good Points: Superb sound quality with style and convenience.
Bad Points: Poor optional speakers.
General comments: The Denon DM50 will satisfy the acoustic demands of 95% of music hi-fi-lovers and the Aesthetic demands of 100% of styl gurus. I have to say that the optional supplied speakers are not worth bothering with, but the rest of the package is simply superb. The sound output is confident and smooth, belying the size of the unit. For the lazy, the convenience of being able to operate evertything from one remote will tip the balance away from separates.

This Denon DM-50 is an excellent compact audio system that delivers the sound quality of a bigger (and more expensive) system. Denon have been producing some higher quality audio for many years and I've always described their sound as "smoother" than Yamaha or Sony. I've hooked it up to some Paradigm speakers but have also listened to it on Mirage and it sounds fabulous either way. High return for your investment guaranteed.

If you love bass but you are on a tight budget so you can't afford a full separates, this DM-50 micro system from Denon is great. It may not shake your windows but it'll put a smile on your face and your mates with those big one piece systems will be put to shame.
