We hired a car for 7 days driving mainly around Wellington. The pick up and drop off to the airport was easy and quick. The car was exactly what we expected and value for money. We had a small accident and luckily had taken the advice of Go staff and taken out insurance. The insurance processes were easy to follow and staff were very supportive. We hired a car from GO Rentals Auckland Airport and were disappointed to find out the car had almost 200k on the clock and was 7 years of age and looked it. There was no mention of this on the advert when we booked on line. Total cost per day was NZ $57 per day for Toyota Corolla. 3/4 way through our journey the front stone guard came down and was hitting against the wheel we could not drive any further. We hired a Go Rental Toyota Corolla in Queenstown for a tour of Central Otago. The cost was cheaper than any of the other rental companies and Silvi at Go Rentals was very friendly and efficient. We hired the car from the airport depot, which is a small walk from the airport. There are savings to be made if you hire from the depot, rather than the airport. Mum and I rented a car from Go Rentals in Queenstown. The girls we doubt with were just lovely. The car was so clean and in excellent condition, it felt, looked and smelt like it was practically new inside, I loved it so much I wanted to take it home with me as it was 10 times as nice as my own car.
I have also inspected some of their cars in their Penrose, Auckland branch recently went I needed to measure boot sizes for something I needed to transport to Tauranga and found theirs to be presented in just the same way as their Queenstown branch, so regarding the condition of cars and the great deals you can get I will certainly be staying with
Go rentals whenever I need a car to rent in the future and have NO hesitation in recommending them to anyone that needs to rent a car.

We arrived after hours & a pick up was arranged through a nearby hotel to take us to the rental. Customer service at both pick up and return was the best I have ever experienced - courteous, helpful, attentive, including the guys who checked the car on return and shuttled us to the airport. Everyone we dealt with at GO Rentals was incredible, from the time we booked online, to when we were picked up at the airport, all the way down to working with their claims team when we had a minor accident. The RAV4 we rented was great (while it wasn't a brand new model, it was perfectly fine) - the MP3 capabilities and AUX jack were perfect for music whilst driving the country. Thank you for taking the time to voice your concerns. It is regretful to learn about your unfortunate experience.
We provide a variety of vehicles across our new model fleet and budget fleet to allow our customers the very best choice of vehicle relevant to their individual requirements.
In this instance you took advantage of our extremely popular economy vehicle. These are part of our budget fleet and are priced based on their age and mileage.
As a business we take safety very seriously and every vehicle undergoes regular safety checks in addition to a rigorous servicing schedule and independent six monthly Warrant of Fitness checks.
The reality is rental vehicles accumulate mileage quickly and wear and tear remains and on-going challenge.
With regards to the inner guard dislodging, these are held together by specialised panel clips. With impact these are often damaged and can result in the guard coming undone.
I'm certainly not suggesting that you caused the damage, however I would like to clarify that this particular failure is not necessarily relevant to the age or mileage of the vehicle.
Regardless, GO Rentals take full responsibility for this failure and as a business we would like to extend our sincere apology for any inconvenience you might have suffered as a result.
