DHS were amazing to complete my order and take my money. After that though, it was pretty much TOUGH LUCK AND BLEEP YOU!! Would not entertain that they had made an error, lied about calling the distributor, abrupt on the phone, delay tactics for refunds and changes. A one way street and a dead end. The staff were really quite rude.

“pretending not recieved goods back despite signed-for!!”

ordered radiator valves, They sent us the wrong size but by time they reached us we had to get elsewhere anyway. Sent back same day, signed-for at £12 cost to ourselves. Signed for at their end, royal mail proof online. No refund after 14 days, contacted them got told "nothing through yet". Told them they were signed for at their end two weeks ago and have proof, got told "will have a look but nothings come through". £134.00 out of pocket for their fault. Shoddy, `F.U` attitude on phone, wont use again.

The above says it all really. I purchased a Nest thermostat on the Monday morning and it was there waiting for me when I arrived home from work Tuesday Best price online and their online chat was really helpful in telling me how it worked and answering any questions I had Will certainly buy from them again!

“Awful company. Awful service. Did not deliver goods.”

I purchased a Vaillant Boiler Pack. When it was delivered they missed out a crucial part of the pack and then refused to refund me for it or admit liability. Awful service. Rude customer service. Failed to deliver the goods and refused refund as they said they sent them out. AVOID.

“Total Farce!”

Ordered a replacement circuit board for boiler, waited approx 2 days for delivery to find they had dispatched the wrong item. Called company to be told the service dept had closed and I had to wait until monday. Advised this was unacceptable due to having no heating but to no avail. Half an hour later, an e-mail arrived to say a PCB board had been found in warehouse and would be delivered the next working day. This arrived as planned, however it did not work. As it was a weekend i had to wait to contact company to advise, when i rang I spoke to a particularly rude gentleman who said they had to speak to the heating engineer to confirm the PCB was faulty, I said the engineer had left and he started saying it wasn't the PCB that was at fault and that it may be something in the boiler that had blown. After a lengthy conversation about how the engineer had found the PCB to be the fault the member of staff told me he would have the board collected for testing before issuing a new one! After I told him this was unacceptable he eventually agreed to send me a replacement. I was left without heating for a week due to this company and certainly would not recommend it for future purchases.

“Good Service and Delivery from Sitingbourne Company in...”

In contradiction to some earlier posts I have found them to be good so far. I ordered a Worcester Bosch 24Ri with flue and 3 radiators ( online ) on Thursday 12-6-2014 after their order deadline, so the order would have been treated as a Friday 13-6-2014 order. As quoted on their web page for the boiler and flue ( 2 working days delivery), It was delivered on Monday 16-6-2014, undamaged and has now been fitted and seems to be running well and most of all quietly. No Bang Bang Bang like the 30 year old boiler that was taken out. The radiators were quoted as 5-10days for delivery turned up this morning Tuesday 24-6-2014 thats 8 days not including the 2 weekends. On initial inspection they seem undamaged and OK. ( unlike the ones that I ordered elsewhere from a Major company that used a national carrier to deliver and 2 out of 3 were damaged, they went back for a refund) Yes as stated earlier, all of the order was delivered from and by Plumbcenter in their own vehicle, same driver both times ( initials MB ), Very helpful and pleasant chap, I didn't even have to help him carry the 2 longer (1600 & 1800 ) radiators to my front door. So to sum up for Direct Heating Supplies Sitingbourne Kent 4.99 out of 5 stars, You were the cheapest that I found and delivery was on time/quoted schedule. My one and only gripe about Direct Heating Supplies, I received an E-mail from them giving me a date for the boiler delivery which was adhered to and advising me that a delivery date for the radiators would be sent via E-mail when they knew it. The radiators turned up this morning without any prior notice just as I got back from dog walking . I have no connection with the company reviewed being a 60 year old retiree from Blue Circle / Lafarge Cement.

“Confusing on order and delivery”

Ordered boiler on Tuesday very helpful staff was very impressed next day Wednesday wanted to upgrade my thermostat to wireless again paid the difference was promised Friday 9th after 1300 delivery ,get an email on Friday at 14.30 delivery will happen Monday the 12th ..contacted DH and they said we contacted you saying thermostat not available ,I said I need boiler for Saturday ,so after 15 minutes of going around the houses I eventually got the number of plumb centre and was told they had my complete order and will get it to me ...wish I went straight to plumb centre to buy my new boiler DH do not deserve our business .... It's a shame just a little more effort to not mislead us and deliver what they agreed ...

Direct Heating supplies use Plumbcenter as their main merchant. If your ordering goods online just go through plumb center as it cuts out the middle man and they are cheaper.

“Refuse To Replace Faulty Item”

I ordered a Vaillant VRT350F thermostat control. It loses it's RF connection with the unit. I advised Direct Heating Supplies just 5 days after receiving the unit and I returned it to them in the original packaging with a covering letter. They returned the same faulty unit back to me with no mention of why they have not replaced, I called on the phone and they told me to contact Vaillant direct. On their website terms and conditions it clearly states you have 7 days to return a faulty item to them or inform them of your intentions. The person who answered the phone was abrubt and rude, you would be well advised to avoid this company at all costs.

“Slow and no communication”

I ordered 2 motorised vales which took ages to arrive and when they did there was one and it was the wrong item. I contacted them and they sent me a second wrong item!!. I contacted them again to be told it was my mistake and I should order the correct item and return the items It was however misslabling on the website which I pointed out (now changed) I returned asking for a refund including my return postage as it was thier error. I got the money for the valves and nothing else but they didnt even tell me they had done that. Bad customer communication and contempt for the customer and I wont be using them for upcoming larger projects.

“AVOID!”

As it's been pointed out, they list products as "in stock" when they're not. To exacerbate this, they avoid communicating. If you reach someone by phone, they'll tell you that they have no information available about the order or product, will look into it and get back to you, which they have no intention of doing or do not do. I called twice with the same result. In other words, they lie. They do so about their products and in their communications. They do not reply to emails. They did cancel the order and refund my money when demanded so they get the one star, as this review site doesn't allow no stars. Check the reviews of their competitors and buy from someone else. Or risk being taken for a ride.

“Delivery times not clear and telephone service poor”

Nice website, easy to use and clearly laid out. However... I ordered a radiator which was marked 'in stock'. Standard delivery was quoted as 5-7 working days. I attached a note to say that if the goods would be more than 6 days, I wanted to cancel the order. I did not hear back so I phoned up to check. The first time I called, I was cut off after a long wait while someone checked my order. The second time, I was promised someone would call back immediately. I waited an hour but they did not call. The third time, I was told that the goods would not actually be ready for dispatch until 10 days after my original order was confirmed. Total delivery time therefore 11 days. I complained and was given a string of grumpy excuses: the call centre was very busy, the goods had to come from the manufacturer, etc. I'm disappointed. It could all have been different if the communication was better. For example, if Myson products have to come from the manufacturer, why not say so? If you invite customers to attach a note to their order, why not read it? if you say you will call back, why not do so? etc.

You can tell a great deal about a company by the way in which they handle mistakes. Direct heating made a minor shipping error which resulted in a vital part being delayed. When I contacted them, they immediately made arrangements for me to collect the part from a local store and refunded my postage costs.

“Terrible service and support”

I called about an item at 10am on the Wednesday (a heating timer) to be told it was in stock and would be delivered next day. Two days later I called to question why I had not received it, to be told it had a delivery slot of 2-3pm. My heating engineer waited, on site, til 6pm on a Friday awaiting delivery. To no avail. I emailed them Monday morning to be told it was due that day. By 4.30 I emailed them again, to cancel the order to be told it was still be delivered that day. I have not received the item and still awaiting a refund. AVOID at all cost.

Having read some of the other reviews, I was a bit apprehensive about ordering with Direct Heating Supplies, however I found the ordering system quick and easy and delivery time very good. The product was ordered late on Tuesday and arrived well packaged on Thursday. I would highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to use them again
