Received an email about the Cashplus credit card and signed up, easy, card was with me in just over a week and with a small set up fee I thought it was a good idea. Never ever pay the fee by text! It failed twice but obviously still charged me, no problem I was told, send in your phone bill and we'll credit your account. “The worst customer experience in History”

Please Please avoid this Micky Mouse organisation treat them Like the plague. I made the mistake of taking out a business account, don't get me wrong setting up the account was very simple and I didn't need to speak to a human from Cash plus, thank God!!! They have turned what is supposed to be a simple process into a nightmare, I receive money from my supplier and it is available to pay staff and contractors.........but oh no lets complicate things by having departments that cant be contacted… Read Full Review

“Can't pay, won't pay. BEWARE”

Prepaid CashPlus MasterCard. Top up from bank account very quick - in 2 hours BUT it won't pay out cash on many regular cash machines and it does not pay online payments straight away, ie it gets rejected then automatically represents later. If you read your terms and conditions and actually read through the website before you apply, you wouldn't be so surprised. This account is a self servicing account and that they actually don't process instant payments. Whenever I have dealt with customer services they have been nothing but pleasant, polite and helpful and do their best within what they are given to work with. I had to open a business account in a hurry and with a poor credit rating these seemed to be the people to go to, I wish I had never gone near them it costs a small fortune to open the account then if you want a statement it is £10 you can not pay in cheques to your account so as a business account it is totally useless. try anyone else but these rip off merchants how the finatial conduct authority lets the people keep their consumer credit licence is beyond me… Read Full Review

“Useless! Do NOT use this bank!”

I opened my account a few years back. Out of the blue I received a letter stating they wouldn't be continuing my account and would be withdrawing my account. I came to an agreement to clear the balance (overdraft) with them and payments were made. No statements were issued by the company for payments and as the account was closed I no longer had access to the online banking system and therefore couldn't see what balance if any was due. Had an account with this company until they decided to close my account with ZERO reason given. I asked for the funds in the account, which was £170 to be bank transferred to anothrt account. I was told thry dont provide that facility & i would have to wait for cheque. This would normally be 7-10 days but could take 30 days. I'm with them and I'm currently sat waiting for my wages to go in so I can leave the house been waiting nearly 5 hours they still haven't cleared my money I can't buy nappys for my baby or food electric ect they don't care the amount they charge just to have an account and they can't even do there job properly

I opened a business account with these guys as I had a personal account with them also and it was so convenient to open... and I can tell you now that's where the ease of dealing with this company ends !! I only had two of my customers pay into my account .. the first payment went missing .. This company is poorly run. They are located above a shop in Salford. They are so poorly run that they accepted a direct debit from someone onto my account. The staff are rude and it takes forever for them to pick up the phone. Cashplus has helped alot had it avout a month and already my credit score has gone up by 40 points. I can transfer and withdraw cash at anytime also contactless paymenys work brilliant. Always make sure you have enough funds in your account. It charges me 99p on transactions but this was my choice instead of the 5.99 charge every month. “Negative effect on credit file - They do not respond”

If you want to improve your dredit record then stay away from this company. They contact you before your monthly paymenty date and tell you that you are in arrears and then put a negative mark on your credit record before you have even had a chance to pay your bill. I have contacted them several times and they have not once responded to my complaints once. during this time they have added a monthly fee to my account and continued to affect my credit rating in the process. “Funds not received after 3 days!!!”

I live in Nigeria and needed to pay the tuition fees fro my daughter who starts University in the UK in September. I paid someone in my local currency and the equivalent of 9,500 Pounds was to be remitted to my daughter's school. Three days later, the funds have not reflected in the account in my daughter's school. The CashPlus payee has sent evidence to prove the money was actually paid. What can I do please?
