“No help when yellohire cockup your booked dates”

If I could give 0 stars I would have....I booked a Van through Yellohire for a house move so it was imperative I had a van on my move date, I received confirmation and voucher for my move date, however when I turned up to collect my van Yellohire had booked the wrong week and U-drive did not have any vans available for me. Yellohire did nothing to resolve the error, in fact they could not be bothered to return my call or call to offer any solution. U-hire eventually offered me a solution for me to drive 120 miles to another branch to collect a van. If you want a van don't book go through Yellohire just go direct, it will be cheaper and less likely to go wrong. And a lot less stressful during any house move.

“Refund not given (Avoid this company at all cost)”

Booked online, paid deposit twice, first time they called up and told that doesn’t have a van for the day I booked, second time they told that a van is no longer available as broke down and can’t hire it for me. Offered full refund for both bookings. After countless emails and calls not even the courtesy of a response. If you call them, they have best response to it “We’ll call you back” nope never got a call back. Yellohire will not refund money (despite policy saying refunds will be given). Nine months of being patronised with excuses to now be completely ignored by Creighton. Do NOT use.

“Absolutely brilliant”

I have just been trying to hire a van in an emergency to cover for my son who has broken down in Glasgow, I live in Essex so this all has to be done by phone. I informed Yellohire of the problem and all I can say is that they went out of their way to help, they sourced a van and allowed me some time to see if my sons van could be repaired as the garage that was looking at it thought it could possibly be sorted quickly. I called back Yellohire to book the van and they were courteous and helpful as before, they informed me of everything that was required in terms of documents and went of of their way to make this easy for me. I am most grateful to the guys I spoke to in the Northampton centre, some of the best help I have ever received. I will not use anyone else from now on.

I used Yello hire to hire a vehicle for me to move my house and found them to be everything they promised to be. They are a broker like a previous post said, at first I was a little worried and wondered how they could get the vehicle cheaper with Europcar than I could so got a quote ffrom both. Firstly Europcar could only supply a smaller vehicle and were more expensive for the hire of a smaller van rather than the Luton van with tail lift that I wanted - Yellohire got me a Luton and tail lift and cheper than I could get the smaller van with Europcar. I also found the staff at Europcar very unhelpful and it all seemed too much effort for them, on the other hand the staff at Yellohire were really helpful an really seemed to want to speak to me. All in all a good experience a cheaper van than I could get myself and on time.I would recommend them.

“I have only just clicked to book with them;...”

I have only just clicked to book with them; frustratingly, they don't actually have availability even though the search results said they did. After I filled the form and gave my credit card details, the message was, "We will check the details of your booking with the branch you have selected and your order will be confirmed within one working day." Clearly they don't quite get the point of e-commerce.

I'll post back if they end up being able to rent me a van and give a review of the rest of the experience, but at this point I regret giving them my credit card number in exchange for an answer tomorrow. And I find it disingenuous that there's no way to find out about this step without going all the way through the transaction and clicking Submit.

“The main problem with these guys is that they don't...”

The main problem with these guys is that they don't actually have any vans, they just broker other people's and charge extra on top. Was a bit disgruntled as this is not clear - I spent ages trying to find the "yellohire" place only to find it was actually Eurohire, and if I'd booked straight with them it would have been 6 quid cheaper per day.

“Found this lot via a Google search, always wary of...”

Found this lot via a Google search, always wary of companies I have never heard of but my fears were unfound in this case. I had excellent service from these fellas from the outset, not only did they advise me on the correct size vehicle for my needs they also gave excellent rates for the 2 days I required the vehicle. I fully intend to use them again in the future and would whole heartedly recommend them to any friends requiring van or car hire.
