This company took an order for my Mothers 80th Birthday,after about a month my mother called to say she hadn't received the gift so i got in touch with Van Meuwen and asked why! ordered 6 clematis in 7cm pots. 1st two arrived on time however on trying to plant one turned out to be a plug plant just put in a 7cm pot - it had only 4 leaves which fell off and the plant has made noe progress in 2 months. No labels on the plants themselves. one never arrived - offered a collection of 3 clematis as compensation however what arrived was 3 plug plants not actual 7cm pot plants. I bought some champagne and gold plants from this company. When they began to flower they had white flowers mixed in with the true colours that I required for my window box display. I tried to contact them by phone to no avail, I then repeatedly sent emails, they did not respond. I now find out that they are part of Thompson and Morgan group which explains everything. Honestly, I can't recommend Thompson & Morgan (or their other brand, Van Meuwen). Their logistics are a mess: you never know when the products are available, when they are being shipped, when they are expected at your place. Considering that it's live plants, that typically weeks can pass from when you order to when you receive the goods, and that very frequently you'll get various separate shippings for the various items in an order, ordering with them is risky business. I ordered my plants 25th May for end of May delivery (i only bought here as my usual supplier had run out). They didn't arrive so I emailed and got no reply. Never again. 48 ordered arrived after being in the post for over a week - 36 of them stone dead. Returned packaging to them so they could replace the plants, not heard a word. I ordered plants a few months ago, heard nothing. I wrote several e mails, to which I had no reply, then they asked what I had ordered. I received my plants, which were the tiniest plugs I have ever seen, 75% of them had fallen out of their tiny pots! thus I was unable to identify what they were. I ordered 216 plug plants. They sent them out over a bank holiday weekend. Result was they lay in a Post Office somewhere for 7 days. Plants were dead or very weak.
