I emailed this company and got a quick competitive quote for two different makes of top fabric . They then offered a making up service which again was much cheaper than my curtain maker . I used Discount-fabric.co.uk for a small qty of fabric early this year. It arrived promptly and was at a significant saving on the high street price. Consequently, when I wished to order a large qty of expensive fabric I returned to them for the order. A very different experience! I am amazed that this cowboy outfit are still in business and still behaving in the same bizarre manner - I was treated exactly the same as the other reviewers five years ago, and assumed that for some obscure reason I could not understand that they were targeting me and me alone - I feel much better now that I know it was not something exclusive to me! I had ordered fabric on 23/4 and credit card payment had been taken on 24/4. When no fabric had arrived by 10/5, I sent 2 emails to discount fabrics and called 3 times - no reply. I did some research and found this website and was very worried by some of the reviews. I thought I had lost over £300. I contacted my credit card company to see what the procedure was. Same as others on here they take your money and never deliver. Im sure its just a scam. Adam shaw is not even man enough to pick up the phone to me. So far have found two other companies he owns one being Atlas interiors. At least i have place to visit. (read more)

Ordered fabric very helpful. Now turns out to be a pack of lies. Said they were ordering fabric and would be with me in 7 to 10 days. 6 weeks later no fabric and the phone is slammed down on me every time Adam answers the phone and I mention my name. It seems they have no intention of delivering the fabric and no intention of giving me a refund. It is a scam! I need to tell all the people thingking of buying stuff from this company that they will be in trouble. One month after purchase from Adam Shaw on Discount fabrics another 1500 pounds was taken from my creditcard. I called Adam up and he said that the bank had made a mistake and they had put it back. Should take 3 working days to show up. One month later and broken down conversations with them no money has shown up. It´s now a police case and my bank is involved to be in contact with them.... They originally appeared really helpful and offered a good quote on some fabric, but I am still waiting for it after one month. They took my money and promised delivery, but so far, nothing has arrived. They said their delivery company had delivered it, but I received nothing and they couldn't give me a delivery number. I am now chasing up the delivery company to see if it has even been sent. Difficulty getting through on phone too which is a concern. Have my concerns about the company.... (read more)

WOW Not only did they offer the best price on the fabric there knowledge of making curtains was ecellent and they made me 3 pairs of large curtains within 28 days. Had used Discount Fabrics over several years with no problems. However, we recommended Discount Fabrics to a client of ours and that's where it went downhill at a very fast rate. In the 4th quarter of 2011 our client ordered fabric of a value in excess of £200. Net result nothing. Paid for in advance. Communication became non existent. I had the most awful experience with this company - the following account details it all. Adam emailed me prior to ordering on the 3rd November to tell me that Sanderson had plenty of stock of the fabric I wanted and that he could provide a ‘speedy delivery’. Hi, I have been waiting for my fabrics from discountfabrics.co.uk for almost a month now. First contact and ordering (even with possibility of shipment to Poland) was a piece of cake. Adam - the person answering the phones - seemed charming and reassuring. Then - as in other mentioned here cases - a credit card transaction over the phone and then: silence. I phoned on a Saturday to place an order, got the ansaphone, left message and someone called me back within the hour. Placed the order for fabric and some lining. Paid by credit card over the phone. They are a rip off They represented that they ordered my fabric and then continually gave me delivery dates that would come and go without any sign of the fabric. After more than a month they then said that they were refunding my money. That was several weeks ago and again, no sign of my money. I see Discount Fabric have now responded. If they are sincere in cleaning up their act then they will go back through their records and reimburse all those who were overcharged. If this ever happens, I will report on here accordingly. Until then I recommend everyone avoids this company.
