I thought on Friday my holiday was booked told me to wait on a confirmation email which didn't arrive they then phoned me today to say that they wer unable to unable to get flights so they tried another destination which I agreed to again gave 2 bank cards and told them the amounts to take of each and then to find out when I have come home from work and checked my emails that I'm still not booked !!! And the administration centre is now closed to the morning why could they not just phone me and check the card details that they took down were correct???

How long does it take to get a refund from this company? They took the money out of my account without knowing the accommodation was booked out. They said they'd give me my money back but how long does this take?

Hi, Regarding your question about cancelling your recently booked holiday. It would really depend on the Company with whom you booked, so take a look at the small print. In the meantime find the link for the Citizens Advice Bureau, it will give you a better idea of your rights as a customer.  Good Luck

I'm guessing that you are not doing an online check in, which is usually free of charge and you print out your own tickets, or use an e- ticket which is also free. Check again to clarify what the £40.00 charge is for and ask the holiday provider for an alternative way to check in. Hope it helps

Mariepearce did you pay any check in fees? They said if I don't pay the £19 per person for it that when I get to the airport I could be charged an extra 50 per person to check in. Is that right? Do you have a number for them? Thanks

I've booked with hdc to go to Turkey. I was told I would receive an email in a few days to confirm the booking. It's all paid for but still not had the email to confirm this. I only booked on Friday. Does this sound right? I'm getting rather worried as I've never booked this way before? Thanks

Just keep calling them or speak to your bank if you paid by card about getting a full refund . I had the sand trouble they are notorious for advertising one price then charging another price. I would never use this company again, I have used them twice and had nothing but trouble . Get your money back if you can and book with some one else as they don't even sort out problems on your holidays if you have any. I Seriously don't know how this company as not been prosecuted for fraud by now. Good luck

I booked a holiday on 17th June for 2 people for August.  We were told they would email us with all the details of the hotel and flights.  That was 2 days ago. How long does it take for them to let us know about our booking and send us an email? They have taken the price of the holiday out of my bank so I would like an email sent to put our minds at rest.

They usually take 2-3 days to confirm by e mail but check your e mail carefully to check it has the correct information. With ours they overcharged and I had to wait for a refund. It was very complicated but seems as though you will be ok if they have took the correct amount out if your bank. You can always ring their customer services and complaints if you don't receive this e mail and ask them to e mail it while your on the phone but be careful as the call works out expensive. Good luck

Did anyone try to complain somewhere? I cancelled my holidays with them same day after they increased the price and changed flights, and they refuse to pay deposit back!

I have reported them to Trading standards and the Internet Fraud department but they seem to be above the law and seem to be able to do what they want. Just never book with them again And save your self a lot of trouble .

Holiday Discount centre are only an advertising platform for small independent travel companies. I had a very similar problem and I did get it resolved in a satisfactory manner by going back to HDC and reporting the travel company to them, someone from HDC took up my case and resolved things on my behalf.

I have recently just booked a holiday with this company, but I'm getting bad decisions about it. Read other peoples comments and some are good/bad. They have mailed me the information I need but the deposit that I put down isn't showing on any of my statements!! There isn't even a thing about how much I still need to pay etc. There is no information for when the rest of the holiday needs paying by ... To be honest when you book a holiday you want to no all this surly. Phone calls to ring them cost a fortune. But I'm gonna have to ring back up later for more information about my booking! Does anyone else have this problem?

I had problems with this company too in more ways than one. your better off ringing their customer services and complaints department.. Have they not even sent you an e mail of confirmation? If need be contact trading standards as many all ready have and they will help. Also when you speak to the customer services tell them because of their incompetence you have had to make expensive calls and tell them you will be sending them the bill, which is what I have done. Good luck on sorting it out. Try customer services first

Hi Mandy1964 Thanks for your comment, they have sent me my information over yeah.. But what they havnt sent me is my out standing balance. I ring them and all they say is il get someone to ring you back. Wel no I've booked a holiday I'm sending money over and not sure we're it's going. Thinking of asking for my money back because there service is absolutely terrible. You book a holiday and get al excited but since the day I booked it which was over 2 weeks ago I've had bad decisions about it. I'm going to ring trading standards and get the answers I'm looking for.

It happened to me too. No bills, no booking contract and information, they just can call you anytime and say oh look your holidays price increased!!! They increased the price and pushed me to book holidays, after i told them I need to think and agreed just flights, they took a deposit of 72,20 even I havent confirmed my booking, I have confirmed the flights but not the hotel. Now they refuse to pay it back. Their customer service is terrible, all of them are angry and telling different things and lies to you!!! I am pregnant now, so I am just feeling awful about this situation and dishonesty!
