“A Year to complete the Kitchen”

After agreeing the price and paying the deposit over the telephone to Lifestyle Kitchens. My kitchen should of been completely installed in two weeks. Numerous problems occurred, the unit end panels didn't all match in colour, the tap chosen from their catalogue couldn't be sourced and the kitchen door handles took weeks to arrive. I was left with no running water for over three weeks, and bits of string looped through the unit doors so I could open them. The units either side of my cooker did not sit flush at the front so the cooker stood out by three inches and at least three inches lower. I explained to the fitter it all needed to be level and flush he said 'he didn't think he could do it. So I had to show him that he could pull the units forward and screw the adjustable feet upwards and hey presto it was done! It was such an easy fix, but the fitter couldn't see a way around it. The granite tops were installed and a couple weeks later, we heard an almighty loud bang late one evening, it appeared the granite splash back behind the cooker fell off, and was left balancing on the gas feed to the cooker. Numerous telephone calls were made to Lifestyle Kitchens to come and sort the various issues out. But they have no offices they just use a call centre so you can only leave messages. Thank goodness that the balance hadn't been paid in full as all I wanted was the various problems sorted before final payment. I just wanted my kitchen finished. Unfortunately Lifestyle kitchens kept on file 1 year after I had paid the initial deposit my card details and security number, and put the final payment through without my knowledge not once but twice. They refused to credit me back so I informed the police was given a crime reference number told trading standards. Finally after a long drawn out year, the kitchen was finished. I was refunded the excess money taken without consent. Would I choose them again. NO definitely NOT

“appalling fit and worthless guarantee”

First fitter was worse than useless. second and third improved the poor fit. 4 years on having problems with white gloss ends and Lifestyle do not wish to respond...guaranteed..??????

“just dont do it !!!”

The salesman was excellent and it stops there. The fitter was appalling. Nothing looked good. Different level doors fridge not fitted properly hob wrongly wired socket wrongly wired. Independent electrician came in and immediately condemned wiring. The "white gloss" doors were grey and following numerous complaints were eventually changed. It took a total of 18 months yes 18 months to get to a level I would accept. Waiting now for them to contact me after making a complaint as the gloss ends have split! Use them at your peril !!

“Exceeded our expectations”

We ordered our new kitchen in August after being offered a great deal on a which included not just kitchen units but also knocking a wall through, substantial electrical alterations, a new skimmed ceiling and lighting and a suite of new integrated and buil- in appliances plus an American fridge freezer. The work is now completed after two weeks work and looks the business. I'd like to say how pleased we are with the job and our new kitchen, but to just say that would be an injustice as our praise goes far beyond that. We have had a number of kitchens fitted before by other firms and have had our share of the good and bad so we can say to some extent we are pretty qualified in what we say here. Here are some of the reasons why we are so pleased. 1. The designer was very professional and didn't hard sell to us in any way. He spent exactly two hours with us and in that time had come up with everything we were looking for. 2. The design drawn up by the designer was easily the most eye catching and best design out of the four quotes we received. 3. The price was very, very competitive....and this was our only concern as all our other quotes were higher, one of them was considerably higher. 4. We were told we wouldn't pay a penny more than quoted as that was the company policy....and we didn't. That was a great selling point as previous kitchen quotes from other firms went up as soon as the surveyor turned up. 5. We received plenty of written correspondence before the work started which kept us informed as to what was happening and our start date was as promised and confirmed in writing. 6. On the first day our fitters arrived on time and were very friendly and cheerful - you could tell they loved their work and more importantly the company they worked for. This was a great sign. 7. Everything went smoothly, the fitters knew their stuff and we felt confident from the start - this made us enjoy the experience. We loved watching great tradesmen do their stuff. 8. The finished result is amazing. You wouldn't know it was the same place. 9. The design looks better in real life that we ever could have imagined, even with the 3D visuals to look at. 10. The quality of the units are outstanding, very solid and sturdy. They remind me of the quality I feel for my Audi car. 11. The quality of the plastering, the joinery and the finishing touches really makes us feel like we've received a really special service but I know deep down it's simply the way a job should be done and has been done for us, no fuss, no bother. 11. We are so pleased with the job that we felt the need to give our designer a £100 tip so he could go out for a nice meal on us. Without him being so good in the first place we wouldn't now have this wonderful kitchen...and we could have paid a lot more and got a lot less. This is the first kitchen project were we have done this. I think that says it all. A very pleased customer. Mr S Butler

“not to be trusted”

kitchen is of good quality and the fitters( who were not their own fitters ) were great at their job and very honest and upfront unlike the salesman we had and also customer services team who backed him up ! I am still waiting for my kitchen to be finished it has been 10 weeks now and have not heard a thing from the company so therefore am putting in this review , make sure you get everything that you were promised you would , double check the plans there and then before you sign as we were promised alsorts which they then denied leaving us no option but to take this further .

Totally agree,a shocking company to deal with from the pushy aggressive nature of the salesman to dealing with customer service leader Lynn, a woman so rude she puts the phone down on you when you are complaining even in a polite manner.
My kitchen which I was told would take less than a week took off and on the best part of a month. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised as the fitter turned not in a Lifestyle Kitchen van but an old car.

I have just had my kitchen fitted by Lifestyle and I can't believe you had the same company. I found everyone to be very professional and very courteous and friendly.

My kitchen took a week and looks fantastic. I'm sorry, but I felt after reading this I had to make my experience and comment heard.

I couldn't be more pleased.

“Lifestyle kitchens”

I would highly recommend this company. After ordering my kitchen and paying a substantial deposit I had terrible angst that I'd made a mistake. The company were very forbearing when I rang them and put my mind at rest. The fitters, Jack and Joe came when they said they'd come and took pains to do everything properly - not leaving until 10pm one night. The microwave door was damaged but the company sorted it out and arranged for a replacement to be fitted. I have now had my kitchen for a month and am still very happy with it. The quality is excellent and I honestly feel that it couldn't be better. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so this is high praise indeed. I've never written a review for anything before, but in this instance felt moved to do so because of the quality of the service I received. Thanks to all concerned!!

“Very friendly and efficient service with great quality...”

I had my kitchen fitted by Lifestyle Kitchens (which is a brand of Mastercraft apparently) two weeks ago and thought I'd wait until now to write a review, after I've had chance to settle into my new kitchen. Even before I chose Lifestyle Kitchens as one of the firms to quote for our new kitchen I read as many reviews as possible and I can see why there are so many good ones about this company. I have received flawless service from start to finish. I cannot emphasise enough how easy the whole process has been. I filled out an online quotation form on the website and within 24 hours I had a date and time set up for a free plan and quote. The designer turned up exactly at 7:30pm on the day in question (to the second - like he was timing the knock on the door to perfection!!) which we were impressed with. He then went on to listen to our ideas and chat with us for about half an hour while he took down what seemed like copious notes. Then he measured up, showed us the door ranges we were interested in and with another 40 minutes had produced our kitchen designs on his laptop. They looked amazing. After a few further discussions and our choices on appliances and accessories we were given a fully installed quote, not an estimate, a quote. I was told this was the price we would pay and not a penny more. The price was very reasonable indeed and he was right, that was the price we payed. There were no hidden extras or charges whatsoever! The kitchen was ordered and we received plenty of communication from Lifestyle both verbally and written. We were given three fit dates to choose from and once we had decided on one things went smoothly. The fitters arrived on Monday morning 11th July quite early and began to rip out the old and then a skip arrived. The kitchen units and all the appliances arrived about 1pm the same day. The fitters were great workers, there were two fitters, a gas installer and an electrician who worked on our job. All were polite and friendly and cleaned up after themselves! By Friday the job was complete. WOW! it's great. We are so pleased with the finished result and we are glad we chose Lifestyle. After two weeks I haven't found any faults and everything works perfectly. If you are seriously thinking of buying a kitchen, try Lifestyle, I can say honestly that they are the best company we have ever had working in our house, period. “Great quality and best overall price”

We had five quotes for our new kitchen. We went to the usual places, B&Q, Wickes and IKEA but also had a local specialist company in Southport and a national specialist company Lifestyle Kitchens. We chose Lifestyle because of the fact that they specialise in kitchens and that they were offering an all-in package (fitting, electrics, plumbing, gas and plastering) included in the price. The initial designer was excellent and came up with a plan and design that was well thought out and actually looks like a professional design, instead of the usual "putting a box in a space" service we received by the other companies. We were kept informed at all stages as to what was happening, by phone, followed by email. Lifestyle offers a great service, it's obviously a very up-to-date set up but at the same time gives a sort of old fashioned friendly, warm service. Which we as a couple actually found quite charming. The delivery was on time, the fitter Mark arrived early every morning and got on with the job without fuss and bother. Although he did cut his finger one day!! We were sent a separate gas installer, electrician and plasterer and they all knew each other well and worked together well. In fact they were all really nice people to have in our home. Very friendly and cheerful souls. We found Lifestyle Kitchens to be very good value for money, very good quality and very efficient. “Bad experience.”

Well, the kitchen itself will be lovely when it's finished, but all the little niggles that still haven't been sorted mean that after more than 13 weeks it still isn't actually completed. Using sub contractors means you do not get the same standard of workmanship throughout the company. There is also the problem with not being able to speak to someone face to face as the company is Internet based. This makes communication a problem and contacting senior staff is difficult. There needs to be a shake up in the customer relations area so that when things do go wrong, this is accepted by the company and put right, as opposed to being made to feel as though nothing is wrong. I am suprised that some issues have been left unresolved and that lifestyle would be happy having bad work against their names.

“Lifestyle Kitchens have been the best!”

I've just had a fitted kitchen installed by Lifestyle Kitchens and I'd just like to say that I am very pleased with it. The quality is very high and the design is stunning. I've read a couple of reviews going on that the kitchen took more than a week to fit - so what! If that's the only complaint about them then they're doing something right. I've had several kitchens fitted in the past and my last kitchen was from B&Q and it took them over a year to eventually get round to finishing it! Take a look on B&Q's Facebook page to see more evidence of this from other people. My review is that I would highly recommend Lifestyle Kitchens, they may not throw the kitchen in really fast like some, but they do fit their kitchens with care and take their time to get everything right. Mine took 8 days and Mark who fitted it was a joy to have in my house. I'm more than happy with that. I wouldn't mind if it had taken 3 weeks, when you're spending a lot of money it's the end result that really matters. From my personal experience I can't fault them. Of all the kitchens I've had fitted and I've had six, Lifestyle Kitchens have been the best.

“A lot better than B&Q!!”

We had a price good price from B&Q but then they wanted £3,600 just to fit the kitchen! Also we were told in the store that the units were rigid built but the surveyor, who was also going to be the fitter, told us they are flat packs. Plus the fitting price went up even more during the survey!! We cancelled and looked on the internet for a better deal and came across Lifestyle Kitchens. Lifestyle Kitchens came in at an overall price even below B&Q’s price and we got proper rigid units and a fully inclusive all-in price with no hidden extras. The quality of the units and fittings is exceptional. The kitchen installers were friendly, quick and efficient. We are very happy we changed our minds and went with Lifestyle Kitchens. In the future, when we are buying anything, we’ll shop around on the internet again. However, we’ll definitely come back to Lifestyle for our next kitchen.

We have been specialising in the design, supply and installation of Lifestyle and imperial Kitchens(both manufactured by Crown)for over 25 years. Your observations are spot on. In terms of quality you cannot even begin to compare them to what you get in the big multiple shops. Remember the multiples spend Millions of pounds a year on expensive advertising. The money for this advertising largely comes from the massive profit they make on selling consumers poor quality kitchens at what the consumer believes is a bargain price.

After searching on Google for "kitchen deals and kitchen offers" I came across a number of sites but I liked Lifestyle Kitchens site as it showed all their prices on it. After sending off for a brochure I decided to get a quote and then found out that my sister had also asked Lifestyle Kitchens for a quote too. What a coincidence! I can confirm that the price I was quoted was exactly as it shows on the web site, plus some extra appliances and accessories (which were also good offers too!) I didn't bother with other quotes as I know what kitchens can cost every where else. My sister informed me! Everything is now fitted and the kitchen I have gone for is a two tone burgundy and cream gloss with the cream on the wall cupboards. It looks fantastic and the price was very reasonable. My sister is made up as hers is being fitted in a months time. I can highly recommend Lifestyle Kitchens to my sister and every one else reading this. I am very, very pleased with everything. Including good old Google.

Well I'm not very good at this but here goes, or, in other words I'm not good at paying complements! One of my faults apparently!

Any way, I've been asked by my husband to make a few comments on this site about a kitchen we have just had fitted from Lifestyle Kitchens, Liverpool.

I've made a rod for my own back here, I know, because after all, it was his idea to call Lifestyle...and it was me that wanted to go with a dearer firm..from Formby. Who had a so called good reputation. (expensive reputation)

What can I say....

Any way, Lifestyle have done a great job, my kitchen is beautiful and I love it. We've saved enough by going with Lifestyle, to go on a cruise this summer!

We had a quote from K****** K**** ( £28,000 ) and a quote from Lifestyle Kitchens for the same named kitchen, same appliances, same door, same worktop -( £15,900 ).

No way that's the same thing i said.....my husband insisted it was.....!

IT IS!

I love my kitchen, it's in Lansdowne Black Walnut, with Neff appliances and Granite worktops.

I love Lifestyle Kitchens, especially now I know what the name means.....Lifestyle! Kitchens

We have recently had a fitted kitchen installed by Lifestyle Kitchens and we now have the paperwork regarding our warranty. We would like to let you know that Lifestyle have given a very professional service from start to finish, and we are very satisfied with the finished result.

Lifestyle's installers were very friendly, always obliging and caused us the minimum of stress and disruption. The work can only be described as perfect.

We would recommend Lifestyle Kitchens to any one.

Lifestyle Kitchens came highly recommended to us by a friend. We were extremely impressed by the time and detail that went into the planning of our kitchen. At no time did we feel that we were asking too much and when we had a suggestion we were offered many different options. Rather than feeling overwhelmed by the process we were felt that the stress was taken out of our hands.

We had no problem with dealing with an internet company at all - we do a lot of internet shopping. They actually were cheaper than all the other quotes and we found the service better. Not only that, but two other kitchen companies we had quotes off (with showrooms) have now gone out of business. So where would our guarantee have been then?

As for the installation, it couldn't have gone better. The fitters arrived on time, where clean and tidy, professional and courteous. One small component, a handle that had no threads in, was all that we had a problem with but that was soon sorted out. The whole process was efficient and to time.

Every step was explained so we were aware of what was going on. All of the team were extremely good at their jobs. We have now had our kitchen for 5 months and we have had not one problem with it. In fact, it has been wonderful.

Since then three of my friends have bought from Lifestyle Kitchens also and all have been really pleased. I would be delighted to recommend Lifestyle Kitchens to anyone who asks.

I wanted to write a review to warn anybody thinking of buying a new kitchen to NOT use Lifestyle kitchens. As an internet based company (no showroom or shop) it is very frustrating to get things put right when they go wrong. We had lifestyle kitchens fit our new kitchen last year, the price was competetive, but by no means cheap. Steve the designer was VERY helpful until we paid the deposit and work was due to start. The kitchen was supposed to be fitted and finished in 1 week, before we went away on holiday leaving the kids with my mum. It took 2 week to fit!!!! and was not properly finished, my husband had to conect the Gas cooker so my mum could cook!! light were missing, glass shelves missing, cupboards at differnet heights, chip in the worktop, the list was endless. I then had a horendous job when I got home to get them back to finish and put right all the little niggles. They would'nt return calls or accept it was not right. It was only when I threatened legal action they took notice. Bottom line use a company where you can walk in and speak to someone!!

It is disappointing to receive a negative review from this customer, [name removed], as we get so many positive ones. However in this case we feel we have to defend ourselves and put a few of these spurious comments right.
<br/>
<br/>When we were asked to quote for this job, the kitchen was in the process of having various structural alterations carried out to it, by [name removed], namely, a new patio door, a new ceiling, studded walls and complete re-plastering. Had this work been carried out properly in the first place, our installation would have taken around the estimated one week to complete.
<br/>
<br/>However, it was discovered that the patio doors had not been installed in the centre of a main wall as planned, which was crucial to the whole layout being symmetrical. The units were designed to fit equally either side up to within 10mm of each reveal. The doors were in fact a good 75mm off centre. Not only this, but every single plastered wall was out of plumb, uneven and each and every corner was way out of square.
<br/>
<br/>This resulted in having to re-design the plan and several of our rigid built units had to be re-manufactured altogether or altered to suit the previous bad workmanship we were working to. We were the ones left to make a good job out of a really bad one.
<br/>
<br/>There was no way this job could ever have been completed in one week and it was obvious to the customer that this delay was not of our making.
<br/>
<br/>Then on the fourth day into the job, Thursday, we were told that the client had then decided, at short notice, to go away for a weeks' holiday on a last minute deal!!!
<br/>
<br/>As our terms and conditions do not allow us to work in a house were the client is out of the country, (insurance reasons) we had no choice but to cease work on the following day, leaving us severely disrupted and out of pocket.
<br/>
<br/>It was only after [name removed] came back from her holiday a week later that we were able to continue the fit. We feel it is a bit unfair to say the least that we are then accused of being the one's responsible for taking two weeks to fit this kitchen.
<br/>
<br/>All calls were always returned and we visited this job on several occasions during the alterations to the design and also during the installation. Our telephone calls are all logged and we hold all the correspondence in this matter, in which the subject matter is not in line with the comments made on this review.
<br/>
<br/>There are several other matters along the way that were sorted out for this customer but we don't really feel we need to go about it.
<br/>
<br/>We acknowledge that not all jobs go entirely to plan, and we try as a company to go by the premise that that "the customer is always right." However after working so hard for this customer to turn such an amateurish, badly prepared room into a great fitted kitchen we feel it is sad that they should then let out their frustrations on us in this way.

I'd just like to say that I've just had my kitchen installed by Lifestyle Kitchens and I don't care in the slightest how long the kitchen took to complete.

What matters is the finished result not how quick it was put in!

I'm on here to write my own review which I will do after these comments.

Lifestyle was recommended to me by a work colleague and after I had seen hers I was more than happy to go with them. The finished kitchen is absolutely stunning and everyone has commented on the quality and the design.

I found every one at Lifestyle Kitchens to be honest and straight up and the workmen were very skilled and were true professionals.

Plus at the end of the day I got a really good deal and these days that means a lot. Without Lifestyle Kitchens I would have had to pay a lot more.

I'm a very happy customer.

Did everything get done eventually with no extra cost? If this is the case then as the company have stated not all kitchens go to plan, I am not having a very easy time right now and will reserve my judgement until my kitchen is all here and fitted with all jobs completed. This is only one of 2 bad reviews I have come across, the advantage we have is CCTV all around the house with audio, so we always feel that little bit more protected when it comes to providing proof of incidents and discrepancies. Hope you are happy now and that I will be by next week when my kitchen should be completed as per my final plan, if not I will be back, I really don't want to be back here, please sort my kitchen out Lifestyle :D

Ha Ha nice try Lifestyle Kitchens!! Yes we had a lot of work done and the 'project mgr' knew what work was being done and actually came and did a 'site visit' when it was complete. But did not re-check anything or re-measure, just commented on where plug sockets needed to be etc.

Patio door were mm out, not enough to make any differnce. This si an older house so corners are not square! But HELLO this is supposed to be a made to measure kitchen!! And you would think starting from a completley blnak empy kitchen with new wall, ceiling etc would be easier!

The holiday was booked 10 months before!!! My mother was even staying in the house to look after the children, so that is a lie to say you had to stop work as the house would be empty!!

They knew exactley what date we were going when the job was arranged! That is why work was booked to start on 8th june - 2 weeks before we were to go. They told us it would take a week to fit, so that gave us a week to get sorted before we went! NOT

One 'poor standard' kitchen fitter was send to do the job, and he took 2 weeks, and it still was'nt 100% finished. It then took several months when we got home from holiday to get the last snagging items done, as they did not return calls until I made it official and involved trading standards.

I accept that not all jobs go to plan, but my review was to highlight you do have a gret product, the kitchen is lovley now it is finished but the service from fitting to completion left a lot to be desired!!

I have just had a lovely white gloss fitted kitchen installed by Lifestyle Kitchens. I would just like to say that I found the service I have received exceptional. Peter the fitter has just left and everything is finished, tidy and looks great. I'd also like to thank Steve the designer who has looked after me and kept me at ease at all times.
The design amd the quality is far better than I imagined it would be and the price was very competitive. I had one quote that came in at almost twice as much!! (Then this other firm bombarded me with calls and kept dropping the price)I had none of this with Lifestyle Kitchens.
I found them honest, straight talking and friendly and would thoroughly recommend them.
