Their web system still have some issues with Google Wallet orders. My order was delayed for 5 days and processed only after I contacted Andertons support. I gave no redeem points for the purchase. Nevertheless, item itself has no problem and the price just best of all, so Andertons are actually not bad if you like some chatting with support. (read more)

Ordered a patch cable couple weeks back, and they delivered me a totally different one, which isn't even on their site and feels and looks much cheaper than the on eI ordered. Anyways I decided to leave it at that. Then I was looking at a new amp and they were the only place that had this particular style, so I ordered it. I normally shop at guitar village, coda music and GAK (in store only). However because they are a bit more local to me I do from time to time try to buy items from Andertons. Their you-tube videos present a friendly, informal and jokey image with the Captain and Chappers etc. And if you do not know much about guitars and amps, I'm sure the staff are very friendly. I bought a £900 guitar from Andertons. The guitar was described as being one from a limited run of 100 guitars. When the guitar arrived, not only was there no paperwork to confirm this claim, but the normal paperwork that would come with this brand (a signed and dated factory checklist with serial number, an owner's manual and warranty documentation) was all absent. Living very close to Andertons, I've passed by their shop many times but I hadn't, until very recently, been inside. It's a large shop with a vast array of guitars. I'm not a musician but enjoy good music. They also have a large selection of active speakers there too, Focal, Genelec, Adam, KRK etc. I was looking for a pair of headphones, and even though the shop was busy, the staff were patient, friendly and helpful. Andertons is my no.1 choice for new music gear - if they don't have it I think twice before going anywhere else. Their loyalty points scheme is excellent and has got me a few freebies - along with a free pair of Tannoy monitors as part of a recent purchase. I don't know what's happened to Andertons over the last couple of years. I've visited twice recently to look for a new guitar and their choice of guitars was way lower than it used to be. If you look for something on their web site it will come up on the search only to be shown as out of stock with no ETA or available in one to two weeks. Any shop that doesn't have free delivery for orders over £100 deserve to fail in the current market. Andertons is one of these retailers.Strings and all equipment have hugely inflated prices compared to its competitors. I tried getting a power supply through them. They charged me twice the price of anyone else then failed to get it to me on time or even phone me back as requested.Needless to say ill never go back. The display of prices and goods is excellent. When it comes to the checkout, however, it becomes less clear. There is no opportunity to review your order after placing your payment details, which i believe is a flaw. Similarly, no clear receipt of payment is recieved immediately - this became a problem for the "reserve and collect" service, since the receipt did not tell me how much i had been charged. Always found every person I deal with at Andertons to be extremely amiable and generally very helpful. I had a recent problem paying a deposit for my pay4later purchase. Namely, the pay deposit link did not work. After a couple of phone calls with Will,Neil and Lee, my problem was solved by installing Google Chrome and pasting the deposit link into Firefox search bar. Most of the stock wasn't in stock whch was not mentioned on the website. Iwas then asked to fax some ID. As I don't have a fax - no other way of sending proof was avaliable - I couldn't do it without a great deal of hassle so I cancelled the order and went to Digital Village who's website is better and don't ask for easily forged ID. I've spent loads with Anderton's over the years but I'll go elsewhere in future.
I tried to give the customer service no stars but the website wouldn't let me...
