I just purchased a property that they supplied to cut a very long story short after more than 2 hours and numinous phone calls {one cost me over £9.00 } so beware. I signed up with opus having been advised they were best priced by 4 different business switch companies I found online. I was eventually told that the switch companies were in fact one and the same people, I rang opus direct and got brilliant price and signed on the spot in advance of start date. Looked at my telephone bill and found a premium rated call £1.59 for just over 1 minute. Checked number online and its OPUS ENERGY. I checked reviews here and my blood literally froze. Switched to someone else after they hid a 33% price increase in their small print. Switched via U-swith website , so they knew that it was a legit move away from them. They sent me a letter saying they had blocked the switch because we hadn't formally informed them of our intention to go somewhere else. What a bunch of losers. “Overcharging on bills by thousands!”

Business Been with Oous since Jan 2013 after told they were supplier for Scottish Power.. seriously! They are not! Moved business premises to another shop on the same walk Way, so same street different numbers. opus removed £293 out of my account without notice or paper bill.paid it put up with it moved. New shop is again supplied with Opus! Not good. I've left shop in Jan 2015, yo be sent a final bill of £1750.00 !! 7000 units different from the meter reading Ive given. When Opus Energy are unable to collect on a bill they send a letter supposed to be from a debt recovery company called Abbott Debt Recovery Ltd which is a company owned by Opus Energy this is an illegal activity, I know I recently worked for them

Recently moved my business to Opus received all the paperwork detailing my account information .... just 1 thing missing they have failed to tell me who the supplier is so in the event of total loss of supply I know who to call. I have to wait until Opus open to find out who my supplier is. “Substantial overcharge and delayed refund”

I was only a customer of Opus for 3 months or so. They managed to overcharge for the whole period by such a margin that what had been paid by the end of month 2 was more than the total due. Needless to say, their demand for prompt payment don't apply when they are refunding. We were looking to move in to new premises were opus had been the supplier however the previous tenant had the electric supply cut off !! We called opus to ask how much they would charge before we signed up for the tenancy agreement. The worst energy company I have ever had the displeasure to deal with (and I've dealt with NPower). For the first four months I've been with them over charging by up to 1000%...yes 1000% every month, even with meter reading. I can’t express the stress and upset they have caused the business I work for, let alone others that haven’t been able to terminate a contract with them. Ask them to put you in a smart meter, or even better give them your readings each month so they don't need to estimate.
