Good Points: 4 megapixel power, zoom to 3X (digital to 8x), easy grip, price/feature value.
Bad Points: Takes a little getting used to some of the controls. Manual instructions are not the clearest -- are they ever?
General comments: Myriad options allow you to use the C-4000 as point-&-shoot or choose your own settings. Handy are the "mode" selections (landscape, sports, portraits, etc.) and short movie options. You can spend a weekend studying and trying out manual tips and appear to be an expert quickly. Great quality, good feel, great price for the features.

The Olympus C-4000 Digital Camera takes great pictures. Love the video cable that attaches to the VCR. Don't particularly like the viewfinder. It doesn't crop pictures accurately. I Wish it came with rechargable batteries

I think for less than $500 U.S. you can't buy a better camera. It looks and feels like a real camera and not like some digital toy for kids. Olympus has been a well reputed world leader in photo imaging technology and have certainly made no sacrifices on quality and functionality with this model. The menu is easy to navigate, the zoom performs fairly well, and both high and low resolution pictures look very sharp on you PC. Let SONY, JVC, Panasonic, and Toshiba focus on audio and video...leav ...
