We got referred to ITC via Barclays after my mum had passed away , we found the whole experience very distressing, every time we called for a update the staff we extremely unhelpful and lied to get us off the phone. They paid the estate agent fees twice over £5,000 and have deducted there mistake from the total estate ! Overall find ITC arrogant and please avoid at all cost (read more)

I sold my house to care for my mum who was paralysed. When she died, after 5 years of caring for her, my foolish brothers appointed this outfit to do the job they had agreed to do. Knowing that an exchange of contracts was close I began packing and moving out. Whilst I was dropping off a car load of my property, ITC drilled the locks out and replaced the locks. Illegally evicting me! No court order, no notice verbal or otherwise. Certainly the brothers that put ITC up to this are pigs, but... (read more)

I do not believe your intentions are anything other than selfish. You failed to verify information. You have showed no duty of care. What regulatory body are you governed by? To what external body should I take my grievance?

I can't believe how incompetent this company is. We have had to jump through hoops and it never seems to end. They want our original documents and thank God my dad had the brains to say no - we ended up spending money to get notarized copies faxed over only to be told they need the original notarized papers. When will this end, for all I know we are already out of pocket. I am personally disgusted! (read more)

I fully agree, why don't we all stand together. I think that there is quite a simple way to bring these people to book. I was told that I was signing a data protection sheet, but instead I was signing terms and conditions which as we all know it is classed as a contract. Now if all of the people who were tricked just like me come forward and stand together we could quite easily pool together and take them to court for deception which could quite easily run into other things if they are found guilty. I can't do this by myself it will take everyone involved to bring them to court. We may even be awarded part refunds. Who knows its got to be worth a go

I agree let's all get together and take joint action. There is power in numbers. We have had a terrible experience with ITC. My mother died 3 years ago in March. The estate is still not settled. When I told my solicitor on Tuesday about it, her eyes rolled to heaven and she told me they charge too much and the longer the case takes the more they charge. Therefore the longer the case takes the better it is for ITC. She also told me of their link to Barclays. I have complained to Barclays, who had details of my mother's case when I gave them her case number. Obviously the links between ITC and Barclays are very close. I suggest anyone who was recommended ITC by Barclays puts in a complaint to Barclays. The more who do so the more they are likely to act. I am also going to have a meeting with my MP and raise the subject of ITC's lack of regulation. I suggest others do so to. I want Barclays to sever their connections with ITC. I am a Barclays' shareholder and are more than happy to go to their AGM and raise the matter. I suggest other shareholders do so to. The irony is that we did not choose ITC. My mother made her will with the Woolwich building society who used a solicitor whose probate service was absorbed later by ITC. They took over the will without our knowledge. Added to this the Woolwich was taken over by Barclays.

I have on numerous times put in complaints ..a letter of response by ITC 'sorry for the inconvenience ' excuse me,I ended _ up in hospital ,overdosing because of all the stress _ incovenience ???? I will be writing to the chairman of ITC ,from others experiences (name removed) Chief Executive fails to respond to the many complaints !! ! (Name removed)vduring my home visit, he is bad and a liar tricking myself in to signing what I was informed by himself the data protection act,but it was in fact the terms & conditions /the contract agreement wasn't it! YOU WILL NOT GET AWAY WITH IT .I could write a book about all the errors and manipulation of ITC ,but I choose different routes such as a meeting with my MP this week,to raise the dangers in the House of Commons to ministers of unregulated companies such as ITC .As for the solicitor company that claim are not linked to ITC,yet ITC forwarded my case to them will be wrote to,a formal complaint with 8 weeks to respond, and then the Legal Ombudsman will be involved because her company is regulated .Starting work, sending an invoice for payment to ITC from my late father's estate without completing work she gave promise to and furthermore starting work without my consent..I still have the unsigned documentation ! DISGUSTING .The hospital whom so easily gave me The Bereavement Advice Centre leaflet (ITC) will be contacted as will Barclays Bank .ITC do everything so I can grieve ??? Nothing but error after error and distress I've been caused and continue to contend with here .Large amounts of money for special post/phonecalls because ITC basically are useless .From the month of March until just a couple of weeks ago ,today is 9 October,ITC still cannot name an important person involved in my father's estate,I sent the documentation of this person to ITC back in the month of March !ITC fees/the solicitors fees/a removal and storage company fees, not a soul will inform me of how much ,documentation after requesting has not been sent to me so I can take action against a landlord that stole thousands from my late father that ITC /the solicitor/her firm did zero about .I use careful words here because this will be public .Without my consent ITC are involving more and more for all to make money so it seems without actually doing any work .My view; ITC robs the dead, and the grieving .Just look at all the reviews about ITC all of which I can relate to .I cannot even bare to call ITC these days because the thought makes me ill .It almost feels like previous I am being laughed at by ITC via telephone because of being unregulated..this does not make ITC untouchable as soon to find out .ITC needs to be closed down so as to put a stop and closure for us vulnerable grieving targets .You remember the name of (name removed) because I always will for the rest of my life all for the such wrong reasons .ITC the biggest mistake I've ever made,or should I correct myself here ,the biggest mistake that was forced upon me by deception .This is by far from over,in fact just starting..............others may well simply just complain, write a review/whatever,but not me ,I follow through on all that I need to,and I shall, for justice for myself, for my late father, for others whom have been caused a misery by ITC ,but most important to prevent the hell I have been caused ,and continue to be caused by ITC UNREGULATED IN WHICH WE ARE NOT INFORMED ITC IS UNREGULATED ARE WE ! Sick to my stomach .

Hi my mother in law has just had a home visit by ITC. Her husband died last week and ITC was introduced by Barclays. She signed some paperwork can I get her out of this contract ie a cooling off period and hire a private solicitor?

Thank you for your reply I have since found out that a seven day cooling off period is possible from the date of home visit. I have wrote to ITC to cancel within the seven days and keep you posted. I have also spoke to a large company of Solicitors who know ITC very well and also stated they are doing everything they can to get ITC closed down. Barclays and other financial institutions should compensate people who have been refered to by them! Same old story rich get richer and prey on those in need!!!!!

Hi Thanks for your reply I have since received something that is devastating to me today that I.T.C. have done. I cannot comment at this time as I need to speak to my solicitor first. If you can let me have the name and address and contact number of the large company of solicitors that you have contacted I would be most great full. These people are nothing but pond life and they are a disgrace to the human race.

Okay,so I believe I can't leave my contact details here because if I do they shall be removed before going live for confidential reasons .We all need to communicate and get together to have a meeting .I have spoke to a solicitor, she has informed myself what to do next and then I'll be suing ITC in a county court for everything including my health .At present I am experiencing some sort of breakdown, cannot take anymore .The details for myself also please of this large company of solicitors .I did write another review of more recent disgraceful acts by ITC a few weeks ago now however,it has not gone live yet?! I do know reporters have done articles for top newspapers regarding ITC and 'Rip Off Britain' all in very bad light! We must all stick together as previous stated to create a force .The more there are of us,the more chance we'll be heard .
Written on: 07/12/2012
Everywhere there are really bad reviews about ITC ,nobody has a good word to say about them from all that I've seen .At least now Sumner you have took on board all of our such awful experiences with ITC so you are very lucky to escape .Get out asap and pay nothing from the date you signed .If ITC want any payment for the cooling off period then do not pay,let them take you to court for it because my case as soon as I signed what I was told was the data protection act but wasn't,ITC got to work immediately and fees there were already so trapped I was by them .

I gave many a chance /warnings to ITC and the solicitor firm that ITC involved all ignored .. now too late so much so,4 police officers were sent to myself late last night because of the such depressive state I am in caused by all the stress. My MP is involving the Lord Chancellor in regards to all that has took place and my MP will be contacting myself in due course with the next steps .The Legal Ombudsman has sent myself confirmation that the solicitor firm have been wrote to informing that a formal complaint is being made against them .A visit will be taking place to Stratford upon Avon .Serious errors by ITC continue ect ect ect .My late father's estate has been robbed including belongings, further attempts to steal more are being made..all shall be took to court ect in time .A such massive misery I've been caused to state the very least .My MP is also to tackle The Bereavement Advice Centre leaflets that are so easily given upon the register of deaths .These leaflets do not state 'ITC'.To contact BAC because you think you'll receive support due to the grieving process ,but yet get ITC probate forced upon .I read that very recent a member of ITC management was sent to prison (this story is in a newspaper) because of robbing estates ,her very own son was helping her with a friend .She got sent to prison because of a past history of crime .Her son and friend received suspended sentences .When ITC handles estates with very large amounts of money, why employ a person with a criminal history ? ? Why are no checks actioned prior to employment with ITC ? I will not state her name because R.C will remove it for legal reasons before this comment goes live in which I do understand although names have been mentioned in previous reviews by others in which leads myself to believe that ITC has reported names being mentioned-the shame perhaps ? Why have the many other reviews by others in regards to ITC have not had a responce by ITC ? I can guess why in which I believe my guess in correct .They all deserve a responce because of the misery they thmselfs and family members have been caused by ITC .I will proceed with what I must .I've nothing more to add at this point .

This is simply a place for reviews, for others to read to receive information in regards to services provided ect ect,not a complaint site .As already stated, many a time I have raised most of my issues to ITC ,and have spoke to many a person at ITC .The email address I receive no responce .Issues never resolved, and yet each and every telephone call with ITC ,each and every letter received from ITC ,more added stress plus more and more errors so muchly so I refuse to talk now to ITC and will let others in time do so for myself.I will communicate now to ITC via letter only ,and in due course will be posting a long one in which shall cover all .Seeking answers I've tried and tried....to be honest, the address provided above I truly believe would make no difference at all in resolving anything because I've been down this road with ITC too many times ! What difference would the address provided above make myself contacting when everything else I've actioned failed by ITC ? ? I have been trapped by ITC,and all is too late now to be resolved by ITC....too many chances,a waste of time ! !! I continue to proceed with independent bodies whom all actually know what they're doing .

Relying on heavy handed sales tactics and preying on people at their most vulnerable time, how Barclay's can be associated with them still is a mystery! Dont be fooled by the nicety of Rob Green from ITC recommended by Barclays Bank. They will charge the minimum of £250.00 set up fee as soon as the 7days expiry date is up!! Never thought to check out ITC as you would think Barclays could be trusted, but alarm bells rang when ITC sent a letter asking for a £100 valuation fee. I Telephoned ITC to tell them i could obtain a free valuation but they insist on using their own company (read more)

This company is UNREGULATED and they charge whatever they want! I have been given excuses, excuses, excuses about why it has taken so long, nearly a year now and still nothing. I have a different 'case manager' every time I phone them - who doesn't seem to know ANYTHING about my case and I have to start all over again! They promise to look into my complaints straight away and I never hear nothing, they promise to ring back and NEVER do. They claim your inheritance money is kept in a non... (read more)

Oh dear, not looking good, ITC have been dealing with my probate for 19 months now and they have told me they are still 'several' weeks from completion! I came on here to see how to complain but judging by other comments it looks a tad bleak. Like everyone else Barclays recommended ITC and I was foolish enough to sack my fathers solicitor in favour of them and their promises, how stupid am I? They are complete incompetants, they are sifting money off the estate while it sits in their account, there is no communication other than when I phone them and they appear to be unaccountable for their actions! Why have they not been exposed? Has anyone made a satisfactory complaint? I shall now contact a legal ombudsman, not sure how far that will get me, I shall contact Watchdog and Trading Standards ina feeble attempt to shovel them into disrepute. Wish me luck and I suggest everyone follows suit, strength in numbers and all that! Good luck everyone.

All I can say is just don't touch them, go to a local solicitor who will be much more help to you at this dreadfull time. Having got this company number out of a leaflet from the register of deaths office I and many poor others have assumed they would be fien. Silly Silly me. Some 9 months later still nothing from them , they are slow to answer emails , never ring back when they say they will etc. In all keep well away. (read more)

This company promises you everything will be taken care of? No way the last 17 months since my Dad died has been a living nightmare. I cant take much more. Mistakes on life policy, interest been charged due to thier mistake they admitted. Then more mistakes? My Fathers house went on the market after a timely delay? now we have a buyer four days from completion and we still dont know what is happening. The buyers have three young children under 6 and have to move out of rented accomadation... (read more)

ITC Legal Services is unwieldy bureaucracy. You do not receive any individual attention. They are extremely slow to get anything done. If you phone them, you get somebody reading a stock answer from a card. And if you complain that they are not answering your question, they put the phone down! For me, it was a huge mistake using them. I should also point out that the grant which they obtain is in their name and not in the name of the executor. This was never explained to me, and I was given... (read more)

Read the other reviews I have had a total nightmare with them and they are total sharks. They messed up on so many levels when dealing with the simple probate of my fathers estate. For example they instructed their solicitors to put my fathers house into my mothers name. Fine you might think, except she had been DEAD FOR 25 YEARS and they'd had the death certificate and knew forwell that only my sister and I were the benficiaries of the estate. They work very slowly, people on the phone... (read more)

I too had a dreadful time with this company. They read the will incorrectly and tried to contact 2 executors when there was only one, unless the first (myself) was unable to perform. After many many more mistakes they sent off the forms to probate sharing the estate with myself and the 2nd executor! ! Unbelievable. After threatening to go to Watchdog, I was suddenly put through to \"complaints\" and the next thing I knew I was contacted personally by the director of the company, who apologised and said they'd finish off everything quickly and with no charge. Avoid them like the plague! No solicitors at the company and a whole load of incompetent telephone operators. Incompetent and rude!

This company is incompetent, unprofessional and they mal-administered my mothers estate to a serious amount of money that was quite unbelievable considering they claim to specialize in probate!!!! . I can (and one day will) write a book on all the horrendous mistakes I had to encounter. Please please, get a qualified probate SOLICITOR to do the work for you and at least you have the back up of The Law Society if things go wrong. You have no back up with ITC because they are not regulated.I... (read more)

Awful, AVOID. Just found out after 5 years that ITC completely screwed up the registration of my parent's house when my mother died. They registered it in my mother's name when half of it was supposed to be held in trust. Now my father has died this is costing thousands to sort out (which we are caliming from ITC) but more important we have lost the purchasers because of the delays. (read more)

ITC were appointed to manage Probate for a deceased friend of mine last year. I had a small claim on the estate and wrote ITC a letter with copy of the receipt on December 2010. Since then their phones do not answer, the e-mail form on their website gets no answer. Utterly useless. Waste of oxygen. Sadly there is no option to leave zero stars so they get one by default.

I lost my Mum and Dad within a month, both without wills. This man, who is nothing more than a glorified salesman, tried to put the fear of God into us. My husband had everything in hand, and is in regular contact with the probate office who have been very helpful. However, he put my husband down at every turn, suggesting that we could not possibly handle matters on our own. Furthermore, he said if we made mistakes we could be prosecuted. Bear in mind, this was less than a week after losing... (read more)

A relative actually signed up with ITC and has met with complete incompetance at every stage. Post has been lost, phone calls unreturned, a never ending rota of ill informed staff and ceaseless delaying tactics - even to the point of being either unable or unwilling to follow their own complaints procedure. This has been going on for well over a year and we cannot believe that any organisation can behave so very badly, especially when dealing with people at their most vunerable.

ITC should be avoided at all costs! They have been handling our late uncles estate for the past 2 years now and my parents have now become ill through all the stress that this company has been putting on them, our Mother even ended up in hospital very ill last year due to the stress. Avoid like the plague. They have ripped off my wife and brother-in-law's inheritance to the tune of £20k based on fees which should have come in at £2k (1% as stipulated in the contract). They also haven't finished the probate case and it is now 26 months since they started dealing with the case.
I would award zero stars if I could.
Do not do it. Please. Our lives have been hell.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. These imbeciles are still dealing with my mother's estate after almost 3 years. This company is run though a call centre that has no interest in dealing with you, nor helping you get things sorted. You pay handsomely not to speak to their property team, not to speak to a solicitor and not to speak to accounts. You have to wait for a call back, which rarely happens in my experience. I found ITC Legal Services to be that shoulder when my dad died.
I soon realised that sorting out somebodies accounts wasn't a simple task when I went to the bank to try and sort one of his accounts out. They told me about ITC Legal Services, I found that letting ITC do the probate took a weight off my mind and I could have time to think of what me and my Dad used to do. It's been a tough ride but I would recommend ITC to people in the same position. Although I really hope you guys don't...
