This book is simply fantastic. I have yet to make a recipe from it that disappoints. The skill level required varies, but tends to be achievable for most enthusiastic amateur cooks. Dishes are unusual in their use of ingredients (although most are easily obtainable from any good supermarket) and always surprising. Menu suggestions are given in the rear of the book and shortcuts or alternatives are given with each recipe. I have a lot of cookbooks but this has to be one of my alltime favourites. If there is a downside I'd say it is the sometimes grating references to how to behave like a true diva. But that is easily overlooked when there's so much fabulous stuff in there. Highly recommended.
