“Worst Customer Service Ever”

I wished I had seen the review before I opened the account. Their staff are so rude and unhelpful. They could at least train their staff or employ staff who are happy to work. Their website is rubbish. You cannot login once you make a mistake. New login details take 10 working days and they don't care at all. Transfer of funds to another account cannot done at weekends but they remove the funds from your account. Then you are charged £10 for Monday and £3.50 for Tuesday payment. I have… Read Full Review

We're an extremely busy call centre and although we do our best to deal with matters there and then, there are some times that we're not able to. Why would anyone call your service team. Seriously? Please if anyone has any sense or trusts the majority then please don't open an account. Te internet is a beautiful creation and one of the benefits is to hear people's thoughts and reviews .... So please don't get a cardone banking card !

I'm so glad I have read all the reviews before opening an account phew looks like I have saved myself a lot of hassle thank god for reviews! Save to say I will not be opening an account not and sorry to hear of everyone's hard time with this bank it honestly should not be aloud as this is people's hard earned money there ripping them off for it messing them about for its actually shocking

Opened account and recived some money from girlfriends via her online banking and 3 days later it has still not cleared so called up card one banking who started to interrogate me as to were the money come from whats its for why have you received it did you sell something did someone owe it to you whats your girlfriends details ect ect. Very true. I asked them transfer some funds on Friday. They said they don't transfer over the weekend yet they removed the money from my account and did not do the transfer.
If I want my money by Monday charge is £10
Tuesday it's £3.50. It's Tuesday today, no funds in the account!

“Not your usual bank!”

Hello. This is a very different way of business banking, but quite straightforward once you get your account opened and get your card, use the transfer to card option and get your money rolling in and also to pay bills. I am really not sure what other users expect but I have been ok with all aspects of setup, use and problem solving. I don't understand the unfavourable reviews here. I had nothing but polite and courteous communication with the call centre guys & girls and all my calls was answered within 1-2 mins. I opened up the Card One Business Account in February and paid £55 for the privilege. I received a Green Business Mastercard, which charged you for using it. So say you spent £100 on the card of your own money, then a few pence would be charged also. When I queried this I was rudely told, a high street bank would charge you more, now stop your complaining and put up and close the account. Without knowing any specific details about your account, I can't comment on the reasons your deposits were suspended, however we do have to comply with certain rules and regulations as we are regulated by the FCA. I did not believe, until I tried myself! They kept my £55.00 deposit as I decided to cancel my application with them. One lady assured me over the phone that, she was going to issue a refund if my application was unsuccessful or if I decide to cancel my application. I'm very sorry that you've had a bad experience with ourselves. Anyone making an new business account application is advised that we will refund the £55 application fee if we cannot pass the application, however this is not refundable if you cancel the application.

my experience of Card One Banking on a personal account is completely different
I have only had the odd occassion when I question their activities but overall they are very swift to action all payments in , and payments out and payment transfers out of the account to their debit card
The only problems I have had is when large deposits have been made into my account , ie cash lump sums from pensions , and they freeze the monies until they receive confirmation from the payee that the monies they have paid are genuine and proper.That perhaps is not so bad but Card One do not let you know that following a large payment in , they freeze the money , but instead you only come to know by phoning them asking why a payment in has not cleared as available funds .
My only other criticism is when I tried to open a Business Bank account , and they declined to open it , without explanation , and refunded the £ 55
Instead I went to Cash Plus , another on line bank , and they opened a business account within 2 minutes

I'm sorry you feel this way about the CardOneBanking account, many of our customers feel that our £12.50 monthly fee is considerably less than what they may have been paying for bounced payment charges and overdraft fees with regular high street banks.

“The worst bank for any small business. Simply avoid”

Simply not worth it! Time after time there is always a problem. We are a small company with no support from Card One at all. Whenever there is a problem, they are unable to help. They also never communicate if there is a problem in the first place until you have gone ahead and made a transfer or attempt a payment. “Blocked account”

One of my customers paid various invoices into my account. I contact CardOne to find my Account is blocked to me (but not to people paying in it seems). CardOneBanking demanded copies of said invoices by email and then say someone will call me to release the block ... You also pay a fortune if you use a mobile phone to contact them ... Under money laundering regulations we may sometimes require to check the identity of certain payments coming into the account, especially if these are large sums of money not normally received into the account.
