Never again, we got carted around 3 inbetweeners hotels that a random man walked into our room one night, there was no safety. The company then offered us £20.03 for 4 of us when we never stayed where we paid £500 to stay! I wouldn't even give them one star. they ruined the entire holiday. made us sit outside in the beaming 40 degree heat with no shade which made me get sun stroke and they have offered £20.03 for this. I see that your booking is linked to another which is also waiting on a response from the hotel supplier.
In your booking for 2 guests, you have been offered 10% of the original hotel cost as compensation for being moved hotels. I can see that you have already replied to our Customer Relations team to advise you are unhappy with this offer and it will be sent back to the hotel supplier for reconsideration.
I’m sorry that you remain unhappy but the best course of action is to continue correspondence with our team via e-mail and we hope that we will be able to get a satisfactory response for you.

Unacceptable behaviour! First, they booked me wrong flight,than tried to persuade me to take the flight,which had awfull flight-times and when i came back from the holiday, i found out that they charged me twice.called their CS department and after two weeks of daily calls they finaly took the blame and said they will refund me.still no money...now i have to take legal actions… Read Full Review

“Purple Travel - £1400 for a futon in an AWFUL hotel!”

I booked a holiday to turkey with this company as it was the only one who still claimed to have availability in the hotel of my choice. Upon arriving at the airport the flight was delayed by over two hours (admittedly no fault of purple travel) so by the time we arrived at our hotel it was almost 3 in the morning local time and everyone was very tired. I am extremely unhappy and more so that purple travel seem to be trying to pass the buck and blame bedswithease. Well I didn't book with them, I booked with you and expect you to ensure everything went ahead and that you use trusted companies who provide a half decent service as I see these issues have been raised by other people. As for conducting an investigation to find out what happened, I fail to see how you do not already know since she claimed to have spoken to the provider already during my holiday.

I am willing to wait however yes I am angry. My whole holiday was ruined, my son was terrified and what should have been a nice first family holiday turned into a horrible experience we all wish we never entered into.

I booked with purple travel and went on holidays on my own with two small children and they couldn't have been more helpful. Staff both when booking and at the hotel were friendly and I got all the information in good time. The resort in Albufeira was great for kids, we went to a water park, could easily get to the beach, nice child-friendly restaurants and there was no hassle from start to finish. We haven't even gone on the holiday yet so I'm not looking forward to what problems we are going to face. We leave in just 4 days and are yet to recieve our boarding passes off them. After phoning a few times they all question if we have given our passport details (which we have) and then use the excuse "our team will do it". I would NEVER use this company again. We are always keen to receive feedback from our customers both positive and negative as it helps us to ensure we are providing the best possible level of service for our customers. Having said that however I must advise that the full API instructions are sent out attached to your email confirmation, once the passport details have been received we have a dedicated department to ensure these details are submitted with the airline and your boarding passes sent. Our entire customer services team are all fully trained and capable, we receive positive feedback daily with regards to each and every member of our team.

We sincerely apologise for the error made by our advisor when confirming your booking, he took the incorrect payment amount by mistake. I have found Purple Travel to be dishonest, patronising and extremely unsympathetic. After gladly taking our money, knowing this was all we had, they informed us just ten minutes later that we could not have this holiday unless we paid more. I am very sorry to hear that we were unable to proceed with your holiday booking. As a travel agent we are working from live systems with all of our suppliers and tour operators, prices and availability are subject to change. Before a booking is confirmed, full payment needs to be taken within our own system. It is only then that we can proceed with your holiday booking. Unfortunately at the time of booking the accommodation aspect of your booking failed. This was something completely beyond our control. As advised at the time there was the option to proceed with an alternative property or a full refund.

Due to the nature of the points raised within your comments, I have checked the recording of your conversations with our customer service team. Whilst I am very sorry to hear you felt the agent was not sympathetic to your circumstances this was not apparent in the calls. The agent was very understanding of the situation and explained fully the options available to you. At this time you were understandably upset and was quite adamant that you did not want to look at any alternative hotels, therefore a refund was the only option.

“Take your money don't get back to you”

I booked my holiday paid my money in full waiting for confirmation 24hours later hotel not available and no suitable alternatives offered at the same level of hotel only lesser grade hotel or pay another £400. On the back of my booking and a reference I have paid for hotel parking and airport taxis. They don't care think sorry will fix everything and I have to wait for my money back.... My update about this is Purple Travel lied to me for 24 hours telling me that the holiday was not available any longer hence the reason to cancel and they use the Hays systems - this was absolute rubbish as I managed to get in writing from another agent from Hays a live quote showing my holiday with the same flights, seats and hotel but for another £600... I then contacted the head of the group Hays Travel where all I can say is they have been exceptional. Purple Travel gave me a nightmare 24 hours, Hays Travel mopping up Purple's mess have gone above and beyond my expectations all of their staff have been accommodating, kind friendly and actually willing to help and see it from my point of view. If you do want to book a holiday I highly recommend Hays Travel but stay clear of Purple the lying cheating company!!!

I thought i was booking a 3* AI holiday staying at the Palma Bay Club Resort and when i went through the small print emailed to me it was confirmed i had booked a 1* in the same complex staying in the annex, when i phoned them they said it was up to me to say that i didnt want an annex.( i have never had to ask before not to be put in the annex when booking a hotel room) What an easy cop out, to say it was my fault because i should have known that the complex had 3* and 1* options.
