“Good site but customer satisfaction on a problem lacks”

The order process, selection and price are all great but my order was purchased with a Saturday delivery and a premium delivery price. Unfortunately the product did not arrive as the address was not complete. I emailed the company explaining this and they were of the opinion that it was my fault that it was incomplete. i have ordered hundreds of online deliveries and never had this problem, either the system stops you or it is checked by them and you are notified. They did not want to reimburse the delivery fee and did not offer any thing further - this is the crux of customer service and they seemed to fail.

“Weber MasterTouch BBQ- good but for the legs”

Excellent service from WOWBBQ- crimson BBQ in stock ( hard to find elsewhere)and at a good price. No extra charge for next day delivery- arrived on time too. Weber BBQ overall is good quality, let down by poor quality legs that do not fit properly into the kettle BBQ. Legs are made of thin tubing that the instruction manual says must only be pushed into the fitting on the underside of the kettle. Two went in ok, the third would not fit. If the leg was made of thicker tubing you could tap it in using a hammer and a block of wood, but the metal is so thin that the instruction manual prohibits this or even twisting the leg, presumably to prevent the leg getting bent. Eventually got the third leg partially in with a lot of effort and some grease, but the BBQ looks a bit lopsided. Not what you expect from a £200+ BBQ. Weber, you can do better than this.

“Spares”

Search facility based on model or serial number returns zero results. I needed replacement grill plates. It was only by checking measurements against the size of my existing plates that I was able to find suitable replacements. From a site that claims to list the full range, this is clearly not the case. Having found what I needed I made the purchase which is something.

“Not good, not bad”

Goods apparently at a keen price and dispatched quickly... Or the truth may be otherwise..... My full order was not available for dispatch immediately, contrary to the order all being IN STOCK at the time of purchase. I wasn't actually informed I wouldn't receive what I ordered until the day of delivery. Not good enough. They could do better. I brought this to their attention and received nothing but lip service. Beware.

“Let down by hidden charges”

Wanted a new BBQ for the summer. Decided to go for a model above the one I had planned on getting and purchased plenty of accessories. Made the order and was very happy. 1hr later I get a call to tell me that delivering just outside of Aberdeen where I live would cost an extra £15. Hardly a rural location and no clear mention on the checkout page that this extra cost could be due. Continued with the purchase but left a sour taste in my mouth.

“New Barbie ”

After a good deal of research decided to buy a Weber one touch premium The price from WOWBBQ was the best I could find The delivery was spot on . I was given an hour slot on the morning Of the delivery and it arrived 10 mins into the slot Unfortunately the Barbie was damaged . I managed to assemble it but the paint work was damaged Too much hassle to send it back

“order delivered late”

I ordered a BBQ before 10.30am on MOnday with the promise that i would have it on the Tuesday. I received a call on Monday afternoon to say that the courier had been but unfortunately had left my parcel so it couldn't be delivered until the Wednesday. The chap on the phone was very pleasant and said they would ensure that my BBQ reached me on the Wednesday morning before 12. I'm waiting for it now so i hope it arrives today! It was good that they rang to let me know but not good that i didn't have it on the Tuesday as it was a present for someone. I would have ordered from one of the other 2 websites i'd found that guarenteed delivery the following day if i'd known....but i suppose these things do just happen.

“Good service and prices, slow website, poor customer...”

Very happy with the service - delivery was bang-on next day and well packaged and all correct. Prices were excellent and the cheapest I could buy. 2 niggles: 1. website is slow - takes an age to load whenever you click on anything, which means that you think carefully before clicking - not helpful for browsing and likely to lose sales. Never had a problem on any other website or link, so the fault will lie with the website. 2. when I received the goods it came with a offer of 20% off for the next purchase with a voucher code. Sounds good until you realise that the '20%' is off the RRP and as most of the items are discounted by at least 10% anyway, you actually save only a few pounds on your order if you are lucky. Feels less than honest and they'd be better either withdrawing the offer altogether or providing a rate of discount, less than 20% if necessary, that's actually off the prices displayed rather than the RRP. No one likes to feel cheated and this offer does.

“Curate's egg experience”

I bought a Weber kettle barbecue to complement our gas barbecue. First, the good bits: The Weber proved every bit as well-designed and well-built as the reviews led me to expect - and it was painlessly easy to assemble. The customer service guy who got to know me better than either of us would have wanted was courteous, patient and efficient. The parts I needed arrived the next day, when he said they would. The bad bits: The Weber arrived a day late (should have been next day service). It was left outside, though I was in waiting for it; probably because: The box was horribly crushed, as was the lid. Goodness knows what had managed to cause that amount of damage. When I finally managed to contact WoW (three answerphones, one cut-off) I was offered a replacement lid. I reluctantly accepted this, though I would have preferred a whole replacement barbecue. I was advised to check the rest of the contents carefully for damage and email pictures. I did so, and discovered a chip on the main bowl, and a crushed leg. I emailed the pictures, now expecting a full replacement, as all the main parts of the barbecue were damaged, and I was not confident there wasn't other minor damage I hadn't spotted. Furthermore, I didn't want to be left with large damaged parts to dispose of (I have a two seater car not designed for trips to the tip). I was told that I would have to pay to return the damaged parts. After some toing and froing, during which I pressed my case that if an order was delivered in such badly damaged condition I should be entitled to a replacement, and not be left with the cost/inconvenience of disposing of the damaged one, the final explanation was that they sent the individual parts so they would arrive as soon as possible for my convenience. That would have been less unconvincing if they had not arrived in precisely the same type of box and packing as the original barbecue, only with the non-replacement parts removed. Summary: Damage not WoW's fault, customer service guy friendly while powerless, BUT company policy in this situation well short of good service. Maybe time to pay more and in future buy stuff at a proper shop, with proper customer service.

“Weber Replacement Cooking Grates”

Having seen the product cheaper elsewhere on line I contacted Wow bbq by phone and the price was matched without quibble once the operator had checked the price quoted on the other site. In view of this I would have been happier if they had made an attempt to beat the other price by even a small margin, as I now ask myself what I gained by not ordering it from the original site in the first place. It did in fact cost the price of a phone call to London. The delivery arrived at the time and date promised and was free. I have since however received a very confusing confirmation E mail from the carriers stating the order will be delivered on 1st July!! I have informed them of the mistake but have received no reply, perhaps I will get another set of BBQ cooking grates delivered. Steve Warwickshire

“Don't return calls !”

Having bought a specific item from this company, I wanted to return it for a higher priced item and call their offices. The chap who I spoke to siad that he would discuss this with a colleague and get back to me the following day - more than a month has passed and I have heard nothing .... needless to say this is the last purchase that I will make with this company. They do have good products at good prices (not always the cheapest!) but after sales care and customer satisfaction are key in this competitive market.

“Packaging”

The parcel was well sealed - it took about 20 minutes for me to cut off the recycled plastic bag. Unfortunately the box the items came in was rather battered and broken. As this was meant for a gift I was very embarrassed having to explain to the receiver that this was how it came to me.

“Good and Bad”

The GOOD: User friendly website and quick dispatch. Good price. The actual item was fine but that was luck and not packaging judgement. The BAD: Extremely poorly packed causing the packaging of the item itself to be badly crushed. Shame as it is a present. Also, this was marketed as NEW so I did not expect to see that the item had obviously been preopened and some of the inner packaging was not present. OVERALL: Would use again, simply because as it was a good price and that for me is the bottom line.

“A wasted day”

Ordering the product was clear and precise also a good price. I went for the delivery option specifing an hours slot. A text the next informed me delivery between 9:49-10:49 after 4 phone calls chasing the delivery it finally turned up at 2:35 this in my mind is not acceptable. The customer service wasn't very understanding and kept passing the buck. Upon arrival the bar-b-q was just I expected as Webber is an excellent product but the couriers wow us certainly are not.

“speedy delivery but B&Q was cheaper”

Overall Ive been disappointed with the purchase but that is mainly my own fault, I ordered the wrong product ! When it arrived and I called I realised that I faced a hefty return courier fee. Additionally I was in B&Q the next day and saw the same product for less ! Do your homework...in terms of delivery, that was quick.

“Poor delivery service”

Ordered q220 bundle on Monday with promised next day delivery. Despite being advised that it would be delivered tues 12.15-13.15, nothing. Calls to wowbbq assured bundle despatched. Today second email telling me of expected delivery, did arrive but note that the delivery instructions were packed in the box! Not much use to the courier . Despite this would recommend to others

“Solid construction but flimsy nuts”

Material of construction of the parts of the unit is of good quality except for the nuts. They are just simply sheets of aluminium shaped like a nut and its washer. So when I fixed them to the handles especially they could not follow the contour of the bowls (both lid and bottom bowls). The curvature of the handles (where it is suppose to be attached to the bowl) also do not fit perfectly, and having the flimsy nuts is not helping. I have installed more complicated equipment than this with less instruction, but the instruction given here is simply wrong mostly. Thus, I simply followed the finished picture to put everything together. Have yet to try it, but hope to last as long as people say it does.

“A Nearly Perfect Delivery”

I ordered close to the 3.00pm next day delivery and was pleased to receive confirmation that next day was possible. Waited in all day and at 5.30pm checked the on line delivery status, only find out that delivery was made to 3 houses away at 11.07 am. Cannot fault company, but a bit worried about delivery company as address was clearly marked . Still missing cover, but told it will be delivered in next two days. Delivery problem-not company .
