Worst card ever. I got this card when purchasing my Macbook as a 12 mos same-as-cash option from the Apple store. The Apple employee could not offer any information since it was a separate company so everything was completed online. A month later I received a bill requesting a minimum payment. I made the payment in plenty of time but this month they sent me a bill, showing the payment was not applied for 10 days, tacking on $40 in late fees and adding a 27% interest rate. The worst part is that when I called customer service and explained the situation, the agent informed me there was nothing that could be done to help me out.

If you are thinking of making an Apple purchase, go another route because this one will cause you a horrible experience.

Hands down, Barclay Card offers the WORST customer service and card user agreement of any other credit card I have had in my adult life. I cannot say enough bad things about their interest in providing good care. It's as if once you sign up they do everything they can to get you to cancel your card. What a sham. If there is a fraudulent company to beware of it, this is it.

I'm happy to add to the woeful list of reviews for Barclaycard services. Don't actually have a card with them. Applied for one, and they sent letter asking me to submit evidence of current home address on 3 documents. Followed through on the whole charade, which took me time and effort, only for them to turn me down 8 weeks later. They gave unspecified security reasons, but suggested I try again in 6 months. Checked my credit rating with Expiron which is 'very good'.

They are a waste of your ti ...

I financed my iMac computer in July 09 through Juniper Visa which became Barclay Visa a month later. The deal was 0% financing for 12 months. I scheduled automatic bill payments for the minimum to avoid finance charges and did not pay too much attention to my account until yesterday when I noticed that I was being charged interest despite making the required monthly payments. When I called Barclay and asked about the finance charges, the representative immediately responded saying that "there ...

Had a Barclaycard for over 50 years.Pay balance every month by direct debit, wanted to up my limit by £500 no go,tried £50 still no go.Barclaycard do not want to know you if they cannot make any money out of you in interest. Funny thing is for security reasons I lowered my limit from £5000 to £1000 about 2 years ago.

Awful customer service, absolutely no help when I saw an unauthorised payment on my account, they never sorted it out. I hate to say it but the outsourced call centre is a big failure from start to finish, the staff are very very rude unless your query is run of the mill.. can't wait to get rid of the card.

Got my Barclay card 6 months back. Was interested to take the card as there was a flexibility to choose our own billing cycle. They have indeed kept my word & committed on giving the billing cycle that I had mentioned earlier. But was disappointed with a Lower limit although I was assured of getting a higher limit based on Income. When tried to contact the service department then received no response. The Billing statements also showed errors that was corrected after I had to call their customer care ...

Barclays is the worst company ever, I hate them.
I know they don't force you to use the card, but they make it very easy to wrack up debt by increasing limits and then treat you like a criminal even though you always pay minimum on time!

I have a Platinum Barclaycard (12 years) with about 6k limit (which I asked to reduce to £1k but they kept creeping up). I also had a Morgan Stanley with same limit and no problems- was a balance transfer card I don't shop with. This shower took it over ...

When I phoned to activate my Barclaycard Visa I found there was aready a transaction on the account dated 9 days before I had even applied for the card. When I spoke with their fraud dept I was told they would help me to recover the money, they then wrote me a letter stating that I had visited an Australian website and authorised the company to take continuous payments from my account, that therefore I should phone Australia and ask for a refund !!!!!!!!! I have written them 4 letters asking for ...

Barclaycard took over my Morgan Stanley credit card this month they reduced my credit limit from £11,000 to £650. In addition they did this just before my statement was sent so without being aware of it I went over my credit limit. I expect a battle the over credit card limit next!Customer service who are often offshore can't do a thing expect send an email to someone who will contact me in 28 days!

Wish I was still with Morgan Stanley.

Had my Barclaycard Visa Credit Limit cut from £14500 to £900 overnight with no warning. I pay my balance off at the end of every month and rarely go over £1000.
I used to be Morgan Stanley customer then this bunch took over.
    Goodbye Barclaycard.

Works well in online payment gateways, but I found the customer service lacking and they didn't seem to have the service of e-statements, I found it tough to encash reward points because of what seemed like delays on their end, no offers

Overall I am unsatisfied with this card

Had it for ages so I am used to using it. Web site functions well.
I am looking for a replacement, lots of small problems have put me off this card, and there is no advantage to keep me.

My card payment was declined today. How embarassing was that? I assured the cashier funds are available. Unknown to me Barclaycard reduced my limit with out any prior notice, after I paid a large sum off my balance. Lucky for me I had debit card, what about those who are not so fortunate... My advice always check your balance before you use your Barclay card...

Got my credit card in August but despite being interest free till next June I have already cleared the balance and cut it up.
My credit limit was £2k I used £1700 on a holiday and paid £250 for some fencing, I looked online and saw that the pending transaction was for £500.00. I telephoned them to ask what it was, they lead me to believe that B&Q had taken payment twice and because I would be over my credit limit they would charge me £12.00. I offered to pay ...

Unbelievably bad customer service, like many other provided from outsourced call centres, but the staff are completely unhelpful, incompetent and generally quite rude! - I had this card for 8 years and have finally got rid as I feel can't get anything done through their call centre.

It seems to me, that by being sensible with your card, you are then presumed to not need the credit limit.
So what do I do, constantly use up my credit limit and act in a strange manner..?

I have been with barclaycard for the past two years and I have never had a problem. I have only one bad comment and thats the high APR, however that is to be expected dependable on your cirumstances.

Barclay card comes in handy to pay off bills or pay companies that don't take Visa Electron but at 30% apr make sure you pay it straight off so you don't get charged interest. If you don't have problems getting credit then id stay clear and apply else where.
