I got the Ring card accidentally, I was looking for the Rewards card. So I spoke with the online "customer service" and they told me I needed to find the promotion and send it to them. They didn't even tell me I had applied for the wrong card, I had to find it myself online. Then I called there customer service representatives in some western state and they were very nice, thus the three stars... When I signed up for this barclaycard credit card, I asked for clarifications on the terms and conditions and what was informed to me was inaccurate. I was told this was a FREE interest promotion for 18 months NOT interest that would accumulate for the past 18 months if not paid in full. I only had $710 left on the card vs the $2000 that was initially charged. They charged me $630 fee all at once in ONE MONTH. My bill went from $710 to $1340. Today is the FOURTH or FIFTH time (hard to keep by now) I've had fraudulent online charges with Barclay card in JUST the last few months. Each time I have to call and wait on hold. They then cancel the card and I have to wait for a new one. TWICE in ONE week. Absolutely DONE with this card. I've NEVER had this constant problem with any other card. So far we have called into the credit card 4 times. For one they have a bad address on file, bad email, and then they will not talk to me because it is supposedly only in my husbands name. He called to add me and after over a half an hour talking to someone they still didn't add me to the account. “Fantastic card, helpful customer service team”

The customer service team are really great. After suffering a bereavement, while in the process of moving, I lost my job and as such I was in a bit of a mess. I rang Barclycard and explained my situation, not being able to pay. They were so so so helpful and halted my interest for 4 months as well as wavering the months pay. “Watch your statement very carefully”

To make it short, barclays charged me fees for a balence Transfer that was advertised as $0 fees, and even the rep I was talking to agreed and said he would put it under review and should be reviewed within 7 days. 2 weeks later with no answer I called and the person was very rude saying she didnt have an update for me. Best card ever. Have not had to use customer service because their website is so easy to use. I have the reward master card and I have received monies toward my bill with my rewards. Tried to dispute a charge for 9.00, after being hung up on and spending over an hour explaining my issue they tried to call merchant whom I had already explained had a disconnect number still made it an issue to dispute. After speaking to a manager I was told that I should check the BBB rating for any business I do business with. “Was promised 0% APR for 15 Months”

I recently signed up for a credit card w Barclays having been promised 0% APR on balance transfers for 15 months by at least 3 different customer service reps during at least 3 phone calls. I get my first statement to see 8% and finance charges. When I called to dispute I was kept on hold for at least 10 minutes and the woman told me there was always an 8% agreement on my account. Online account is very easy to navigate and clear. No complaints except if you return something and have a direct debit set up to take the full amount-they reduce the direct debit by the amount of the return,but took the return money off of my further purchases since statement meaning i had a balance remaining and would be liable for interest if i wasn't on my promo rate on 0%-sneaky in my opinion. Absolutely awful company, I applied online and was told my application had been referred for further checks and would hear in 7-10 days time. Never heard a thing back after 2 weeks so I called them up. Customer services in Bangalore or some other third world city were awful half the time they couldnt even understand the question i was asking them. Received a barclaycard to pay off a next account and first I was holding about 45 mins on my mobile !!!!! Then somebody finally answered and I set up the balance transfer to find out later that the transfer had never even been done !! Genuinely terrible service. Had a card with them for 12 years, changed address online last week, made a few purchases this week, they then block my card without warning, and then when I ring them and go through (no exaggeration) about 20 security questions about the account, say I have to go to a Barclays branch for visual verification. “Poor standards all along”

Barclaycard are pretty bad in the customer service department. You will get through to a foreign call centre, and be dealt with with someone with just a tiny grasp of English. They will 90% of the time not understand what you are asking, but will blunder on and try to help you anyway often making matters worse. Why oh why do large companies like this still try to save a few quid outsourcing their customer service to people who cannot communicate. I have only used the credit card online service twice and its awful!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have tried to log in recently and for someone bizarre reason it does not recognise my log in details, I have changed them twice through the call centre. i applied for the initial visa as i had a 35% card with another lender as i was new to the credit scene. after 6 months of paying my balance in full i asked for a limit increase and they increased it. with the increase i was able to close my other credit card and not over commited myself with other credit cards. 2 months later i was told i was eligable for another platinum card with them with the added bonus of the interest free period for purchases etc. Thank you barclaycard the only card… Read Full Review

“Refreshingly good customer service”

I have had a few different cards and have cancelled them at various times either due to customer service or a rate change. I have today that whilst I have had reason to ring barclaycard customer services a few times, I have always been impressed by the quality of their staff and how reasonable they are.
