Brought several items from ofl arrived looking fine but in weeks developed splits in the timber. Had a repair guy sent out after many rude phone conversations with them to be told its just shrinking because its drying out in my house And this is normal and to be expected!? Surely the timber should be dried out fully before it is built into furniture???? “Worst experience ever”

The biggest pile of rubbish i have ever come across. £500 wardrobe turns up filled with wood filler and eight separate marks of damage. Three separate damage marks on bedside cabinet (£120), and three marks on (£330) chest a drawers. Worst customer services i have ever dealt with. Three out the four pieces of furniture received were damaged and OLF refused to replace them. NEVER AGAIN and i will tell everyone i know and facebook not to shop with them. I have the very same experience with this shocking company. Luckily I paid for the goods using my credit card as did my wife. As such we now have two Section 75 actions agains OakFurnitureLand and taking out a Small Claims Court Action against them. Could do without the hassle as just wanted to buy some furniture.

UNLESS YOU ARE HAPPY TO PAY GOOD MONEY FOR RUBBISH, THEN ALLOW THEM TO REPAIR THE FAULTY GOODS AND TAKE TIME OFF WORK SO THAT YOU CAN LET THEM RIP YOU OFF THEN GO AHEAD AND TAKE THE PLUNGE ....OTHERWISE, do yourself a favour and go to a more reputible retailer.

To be fair I hoped they would be a reputable retailer, but how wrong was I.

I so wish I had paid by credit card then the card company could have sorted them out.

The customer services are the rudest unhelpful people I have ever come across and J, the MD just doesn't seem to be interested.

They are refusing to give me my cash back and trying to get this company to even pick the order up is a nightmare. It been three weeks and I have a bedroom I can't use due to the rubbish they have delivered. They refused to send me some new furniture and just want to bodge it up with the carpenter / French polisher... (I won't accept this as the items have already been bodged by them this is why I want them to be returned). They aren't even interested in seeing the damage This company are sending out good that they know aren't up to retail standard and then fobbing people off with a repair. I ask for the replacement order and they have refused to do this.

I don't trust this company to even give me the correct amount of money back.

There are lots more unhappy people.

I'm going to Watchdog and Trading Standards about them, the way they treat people needs to be exposed. I'll contact you on this threat so they can speak to you too.

Had 3 items of furniture delivered last Friday - all damaged. Contacted aftersales team who sent e-mail asking for pictures of damage. Great customer experience! “Delivered damaged items twice”

Disgusted with appalling quality of goods. I've just exchanged one damaged unit only to find that the replaced one is also damaged and shabbily patched up where they have scratched two areas. They have failed to refund money for a faulty table, it was bought by my mother who is 89 and is now oweing £199 .00. The only contact number i have is 877834. Ihave been promised several times that this money would be refunded and paid into my bank account, I have just been fobbed off. “Pre-sales service-good. After-sales service abominable.”

It's taken 5 months and 5 visits from their repair company for me to have a sideboard. Parts had to be sent out, didn't arrive, re-ordered, taking weeks to arrive, don't know where they were coming from. One door delivered, damaged in six places, guess what, re-ordered and it arrived yesterday. Fitter came today, can't fault them, so as I said 5 months later I have a sideboard. I recently purchased a sideboard, which arrived 4weeks later to find it had a very large dent in the top. We discussed with the company a replacement. They would not listen, and wanted to sent a French polisher!!!! We refused and said take it back and we will have a refund. On the understanding we would re order the following week as they would not replace. We decided just after we placed our order to cancel as Oakland Furniture let us down on the delivery date after promising if we paid extra it would be delivered in under 7 days! They also let us down on their 7 day money back guarantee and it took over 15 days to get our money back. The sales people in the Crown Point Store are as helpful as chocolate fireguards and I wouldn't recommend them under any circumstances, oh and did you know that you have to wax the furniture every few months...... I purchased 3 pieces from this company a while back. Our dinning table leg is still loose and falls off if the table is moved. We have complained, they sent us a new bolt to put in but this did not help. We had similar problem with our console table. Our coffee table though was ok but the top of the table is not square or planned, the top is made of approximate 5 lengths of wood joined together which is done well but the ends are not cut to same lengths so I had to do this myself. “Missing handle two months later”

Think this company is ok if you don't need to use their customer service. If you do then you are in trouble. It is the worst customer service experience you are ever likely to have. Very hard to get through on the phone, you have to do all the work to arrange everything. Basically they don't care and hope you will just go away. My advise would be to avoid this company. Looked at several company's selling oak furniture and decided to buy from Oak Furniture Land because we liked the displays shown in their showrooms. The sales staff were nice and delivery of out Rustic oak TV unit and sideboard was delivered within about 4 weeks. The TV unit was ok, but the sideboard had 3"splits in 3 places, screws missing and distorted gaps. (I suppose we did ask for rustic)!!! They replaced it within a month...why on earth they don't check when they deliver? The desk was OK but the door didnt close after a month. I was in oak furniture land yesterday, in the end walked out. A customer was in complaining and being ignored, she left and staff laughed at her and calling her names, till they saw me looking. They hassled us so much for business that I walked out. Explained I did not appreciate the hard sell or the hassle but that was ignored! So we all walked out. Best thing to do, the furniture in the showroom is nothing like what you have delivered, its the worst funiture I have ever seen. Just in the difficult process of returning ours and trying to get a full refund, we still have the furniture in boxes after 5 weeks of complaining.

I have now realised that their very bad customer service is not an accident its the company policy. What they have told me is 95% of their customers are happy with what is delivered. Bought 4 pieces - coffee table corner rounded so asked for a replacement - when sold in the store salesman said keep all packaging incase there are any problems then you can return and we will replace - no true- mis-sold. Offered to repair but don't see why brand new furniture should need repairing eventually offered refund but told I cannot buy another one as I will be entering into an illegal contract!!! I know how you feel, paid £740.00 for dining set, table was damaged offered a repair which I reluctantly accepted, when the repair company called to arrange a time the earliest avaiable was 6 weeks because I wasn't prepared to take a days holiday from work to allow them entry!!!! I have paid for the repair myself & I want everyone to know they are good when the furniture is ok but the first hint of a problem they are not interested.

DO NOT BUY FROM OAKFURNITURELAND, WISH I HAD READ THE REVIEWS FIRST. The worst quality and after sales service I have ever experienced. We ordered 2 lamp tables and a TV cabinet, all three things have problems with them, but the lamp tables are the worst, they are warped, full of filler, nails showing with splinted edges, and the goods are cheap imports.
