I have bought several items from bonanza, and all were described correctly and all arrived nicely packed, ebay and bonanza forums are the same to me, say sonething and someone else instead of actually helping you, they want to cut you to threads. ebay forums are terrible. You get those long time arrogant users that do not know how to approach a subject with a helping hand. Instead you get smacked. Like many before me (I wish I had looked up a review of this website before I placed a purchase), this website is just a terrible business. Bought something through them, and suddenly the sellers information disappeared. The item never arrived, I opened a dispute, and they don't really do anything to help you. Bonanza takes sellers side in disputes, while pretending to be a neutral middle party on the surface. There is written evidence that they have not been honest and forthcoming with the buyer in disputes. Also, website feedback against the seller mysteriously disappear. It is hard to think of a likable aspect when dealing with them causes loss of hundreds of dollars. I am sorry that I cannot think of anything positive about the experience. (read more)

I've been on Bonanza since 2010 and all I can say is it's like high school all over again. It's a popularity contest with other sellers and if you try to be nice in the forums, most of them will be rude to you, report you, etc. If you aren't in their little posse click, you will be shunned, and treated as such... And most of the time, the bonanza crew will take their side, leaving you clueless and alone. Great stuff... I was there to sell and make money, not to be buddy-buddy with everyone... (read more)

I made a purchase with an online vendor who ended up just taking my money without having sent my purchase. Bonanza's website allows you to contact the seller but the privacy settings are like Facebook, making it difficult to know much about whom you're buying from if they've set their seller profile to private (this was after I'd made my bad purchase that the seller profile was all of a sudden private). Mark, I hope you're reading some of these comments. I had a store long ago that I closed due to moving away for medical treatment. Any shipping issues from when I was quite ill were resolved satisfactorily. I now have staff working for my store, have a very successful eBay business, and went back to Bonanza. After entering credit card info and paying $$$ was immediately suspended with no explanation and given no opportunity to respond or appeal. This is nonsense. My newest hire has just been... I drop shipped 100% of my items. Sold everything from high-end beauty and fragrances to Iphones and designer clothes. Took 3 months to list several hundred expensive items and yes,I sold items after giving out coupons and discounts and advertising heavily on Google. In 3 months that I was selling,I made 24 sales....if that. After discounts and coupons were used,I either barely made profit on a sale or I lost money. I've both purchased and sold items on bonanza many times over the years. Purchasing items is really simple and it's nice that Paypal is accepted by most merchants. As far as selling goes, while it may be true that it might not bring in as much traffic as the bigger sites, it is really user friendly and very easy to sell on. I signed up to use Bonanza as it accepts sellers from all over the world. However then I could only offer inland postage to the USA, and overseas to anywhere else, including my own country (the UK). PLus within hours of joining I was spammed with xrated rubbish from other users. Crazy. I contacted support to ask about the postage option and there was no way to alter it, they said. I would highly recommend Bonanza to the new seller. It takes a little longer to make a sale but the ease in downloading your pictures as compared to other sites makes all the difference in the world. Unlike other sites, your items for sale can stay listed for as long as you want. You don't have to spend time re listing items like you do on Ebay. From a seller and buyer's point of view: Buyer and seller: The search on Bonanza is not very "smart." It is glitchy at times. Their new function of having all items on one page is very, very strange since when scrolling down the images temporarily disappear. I tend to lose focus on where I saw a listing at on the page. After contacting their Customer Service reporting ID theft, the customer service representative decided to ignore my complaint and asked me to get a refund through my credit card company instead. I had to go away for a while due to family matters and since there was not much activity on the booth, I did not check on it while away. On my return, Bonanzle had removed ALL my items from my booth. They do not support their sellers, have very little traffic - we sold two items in this time period, they tried to tell us the value of our items, seem to be catering to the deep discount to try and attract buyers and seem to be writing their own good reviews to attract people to the site. I don't sell anything even close to the amount I sell on eBay but I have sold some stuff which is more than I can say for iOffer , eBid etc, etc. I don't really do the whole online community thing but the people on Bonanzle seem very friendly. If your an eBay seller who hates eBay (This must be every seller by now)

I have had a shop on Bonanza since "2009" but I ignored the site since I set it up but decided to give it more attention. I always had people look and have some shops feature my items. But NO sales, not one. I like the look of the site home page but often when you search a category it's like the mess mosh in a bargain basement. I now have a gold membership (didn't start yet) and I will see what this does for me. I am also on Etsy.com since 2007 and it's fantastic. Beautiful site easy search and I sell well.Bonanza needs to be more like Etsy.

As the big E became more seller unfriendly I went around to other sites to see how they do. One was complicated and another had a terrible loading time. Then I found Bonanzle! Simple to list, looks nice and fees are simple to understand and realistic. As soon as I signed up I got tons of welcomes. Their forums are full of kind and helpful people. Bonanzle is an up and coming contender in the online marketplace.
When I joined in November of 2008, there were only about 35,000 members. It has grown to more than 180,000 and the members are very helpful to each other. Sellers can get direct help from management if needed. It is easy to navigate, very open for members to speak about other selling venues. The fees are very reasonable, with no listing fees.

According to AuctionBytes and others, they are growing at a faster rate (percentage-wise) than ANY OTHER SITE. Why? Because it's a unique and refreshing atmosphere. Not to mention no insertion fees, low fvf's, and easy navigation and set up.
Those are qualities that keep people coming to the site. I'm banking on this one.
My sales have been great, and are proportionate to the amount of work I put into 'cleaning up' my listings (making them Google-friendly, etc.).

Leaving ebay was a frightening prospect for me, and none of the other sites I tried were working out. Then I found Bonanzle, in Nov of 2008, and haven't looked back. I found this review not helpful because...this person's comments seem to only show their lacks of willingness to put forth the work necessary work to generate sales. Maybe they just sell junk with poor pictures and high prices?

If I put more work into it, I'd sell more (work means to fix attributes of items and shipping profiles, etc.) If I can sell there, anyone can! But you can't just dump your stuff there and expect sales.

As I recall Pieper many many folks on Bonanzle checked in on you when you were ill and genuinely cared about your well being. Some even offered to help you out. It is such a shame that you feel this way. I have been on Bonanzle for almost 9 months now and sell just about everyday. The site is growing by leaps and bounds and the Boyz have announced an up an Ad campaign and other great changes in the near future.

I sell very successfully on Bonanzle and never have had any issues or complaints with the checkout system. As for the forums I take most negativity with a grain of salt - you can't please everone all the time.

Bonanzle is a Godsend for me. It is the next best Thing to my having my own Antiques & Collectibles Shop. They are a lost cause. They cater only to high over priced items and dump all the other sellers. Look for yourself. At first you get the feeling that this is a friendly place with friendly people running it. Don't be deceived. They are not. They are a sheep in wolf's clothing. Go to iOffer , Ecrater or Blujay. You will sell more and no headaches.
