“Waste of Money”

I bought my dishwasher in January... it is now August and this is the third time I am having to call an engineer out under the warantee. First the motor split as it is flimsy plastic, then the pump broke... now who knows! DON'T BUY IT! (read more)

To me a dish washer is a dishwasher... I bought the Hotpoint because I thought it was a good, reliable brand. Suddenly after a year it started making horrible noises and dishes come out as dirty as they went in, just that the dirt is more evenly spread. Now after researching the problem on-line I find that other people have similar problems and it is regarded as a cheap Indesit model. Not looking forward to forking out for repairs or another model. I bought this Hotpont FT114 dishwasher from Appliance World at the end of 2010. As soon as installed, it leaked steam whenever in use. Local service agents replaced the seal, but still no good. For 3 months Hotpoint/Indesit have procrastinated, with promises to replace, but no action. Now it has developed another fault, in that audible warnings have stopped working. We were incorrectly sold a policy to upgrade if a fault was found, by Hotpoint.
The caller and websire make no mention of maximum age of 8 years old. Funny that.
Of course, much wriggling. However, the LFT114 dishwasher was given in compensation.
Incredibly rude engineer, who already decided before he came. Practically pushed my wife out of the way.
It does not look like the picture. It has no metal shell on it, just some felt at the top too.
Very flimsy, does not shut properly.

Had a Bosch for 10 years but it went faulty and we were recommended this one. What a mistake!!

Very noisy, doesn't clean properly (in fact glasses/cups have on ocassions come out dirtier)and have to re-wash.

Top shelf is useless for wine and large glasses, can't even put cereal bowls/side plates on this shelf!

When pulling out bottom shelf, runners tend to come off.

It is now making very strange noises 15 months later and I won't even bother paying for an expensive enginneer to come... (read more)

Do not buy - as previous reviews indicate this is a flimsy product. Used for 16 months and then packed-up (water heating failed). Impossible to diagnose fault without paying £100+ for 90 days assurance or entering into a monthly contract.

All in all a bit of a rip off. (read more)

Bought this exactly 18 months ago and has only been used on average 5 times a week. Now has developed a fault which is going to be costly to repair. I would not recommend especially as it didnt even wash that well. Stay away and spend a bit extra money on a brand with a better reputation (read more)

Less than 18 months old and has broken down with a serious fault. So called 5 year parts guarantee.....but you have to pay £105 for the engineer to come out. We paid cheap and got total rubbish. Apparently it's just an Indesit with a Hotpoint badge on - DON'T BUY !! (read more)
