This is about the online / post service. My experience with them was very stressful. First of all, they did not respond to an email query I'd sent, which was simply asking if my scanned passport and bank statement were OK. Despite having sent my documents and the payment before the time specified, they did not send the money on the day as promised. After being ripped off by the uncle Scrooges money exchangers on Oxford street pretending to be my friend, I went to these people by accident. They gave me about 5% more than Oxford street. Forget the post office and Thomas cooks, these people are thieves. Also the one on Oxford street near the Oxford street tube station is awfull they are trying to make about 20% on each transaction....stay away from them. I have attempted to buy USD for home delivery from these people four times in the last 2 days. Each time there has been no response to my order. After waiting the advised 10 minutes I have 'phoned their Head Office and been fobbed off with excuses such as 'they must be changing the rates' and told to re-send my order. Don't bother with these people on-line - their quoted rate for delivery is not as good as it looks - they add on £7.50 whereas sites like Travel FX quote a rate including the... (read more)

I've used them for over 4 years but only directly in their branch on The Strand. They usually come up top on travelmoneymax.com but of course it depends on the currency. To the person who says they can't be real - they have small shops and there's usually a queue. So presumably survive on high volume with thin margins - much like Amazon do for books. (read more)

I HAVE SEEN LAST FEW MONTHS, BEST FOREING EXCHANGE IS A DUPLICATE OF THOMAS EXCHANGE GLOBAL. SOMETIME THEY OFFER THE RATE MORE THAN THE FOREX CURRENT RATE RUNNING IN THE FOREX DIRECTORY. I cannot recommend this company enough. I - like some others - was a bit nervous about using the services of the company and making such a large electronic transfer so I called up their head office. They were very nice, explained the process and the timescale i could expect.
Money arrived as promised, you CANNOT find a better exchange rate for cash anywhere. Please dont worry about this company, they are thoroughly professional and have made me a very happy holidayer before even leaving...

Used them recently cos they offered the best exchange rate even after paying for a trip on the rail to London and all the best rates are in London. I got the exchange rate I wanted so that's the positive.
Not sure how good it is but I use http://travelmoney.moneysavingexpert.com/holiday-money/#results to find out which bureau is offering the best rate.
Just make sure you phone them to secure the exchange rate you're expecting, take note of who you spoke to and how long they'll honour that...

I think this reviewer is getting their companies mixed up. Bestforeignexchange DO NOT accept card or cash payments, they do not charge deposits either. To fix the rate you don't need to phone them - you just tick the box!
