The whole company is a joke. They are out to trick there way to getting more profit.They told me my flights were suspended, and was down to my flight provider. Which was a total lie. I contacted the flight provider and also the airport. They both could confirm they was no cancelation or due to be any cancelation. So very disappointed I paid deposit for tickets to Mumbai for 16th dec got booking ref kept chasing to pay full to get tickets issued - but got fobbed off not yet till end of November and suddenly got told can't get those ticket! Expensive alternative offered or lose deposit. Ended up paying £140 more on each ticket and different dates. A very poor service. I would say avoid using this company at all cost!… Read Full Review

“date on flight ”

I requested to change dates on outbound flights to USA and offered to pay the extra cost for doing so. Dreamworld travel refused to do this even though I had contacted the airline who were happy for us to change date and confirmed available seats. Will have to cancel flights and dwt refused to give us any refund even though the flight dates are 5 months away. Worried having read reviews. I've just booked. Booked wrong place at first. Girl dealing then went home. Guy who took over disappeared after about 5 minutes and left hanging. I started booking at 2:30 pm, got confirmation at 8 pm. Names wrong and had to be amended. No apologies for errors at any time. I rang in to complain, a manager was never available. Emailed in. DWT does not buy the airline ticket advertised when you pay upfront. Expecting the "paid" confirmation email from them to mean I already had the advertised tickets I was then informed just before departure that "due to the airline overbooking" I had to travel on a different airline and timetable. They have tried the exact same thing on me today total lies. They do it to get more money from you. I recorded the guy who is apparently was the manager blatantly lieing to me saying ethihad had cancelled my flight when this was a total lie.In the end they said it was okay for me to fly with my original flights ..... Which proves they were never cancelled and all was a scam to make more money. Every person I have spoke to has been rude and can barely speak English. Awful company they need shutting down!!!

Totally agree . They didn't ask us for more money so I can only assume it was cheaper to put us on an alternative flight and they pocketed the difference. I phone United who looked at their booking system and thought we had flown with them on the original booked flights. They stated they would not cancel a confirmed booking in this way but do it at the airport by offering flyers compensation to change flights.
I am now looking to see if IATA will listen to my complaint but can't see an obvious way of submitting a complaint to them.
Glad you sorted it without any disruption but agencies like these should not be allowed to trade.

The money you pay upfront is to enter the DWTLTD lottery. Your money is not immediately used to buy the ticket from the airline as DWTLTD lead you to believe because they have not yet agreed the price with the airline. DMTLTD accummulate your ticket request with others and negotiate in bulk. Unsuccessful negotiations mean they ask you for more money or divert you to another flight/airline at the last minute. They take no responsibility for losses incurred by the traveller as a result.

Booking and paying on line does not guarantee DWT will make a contract with the airline or with the flight details you think have been confirmed. They hold on to your money while accumulating ticketing requests to get bulk discounts at a later date. The actual flight timing and airline were different from my original booking which was paid in full 2 months in advance. We booked flights in Oct then told 24Dec our flight was overbooked and has 2 options a 23 hour stopover or a extra 150 each to change flights. Flight to China booked on 4th December for Flight on 4th January @ 20:25. We received Tickets by email on 29th December, with no special note or apology, we checked Tickets but they were for 17:40 flight ! Hi,

I actually got the e-ticket, did you not? When I bought and paid for my flight there was no reference to the price being a 'promotional' one either on the website or on the email/paperwork I received. The price I paid was literally the same on all price comparison sites.
Despite several attempts to change my ticket with DWT I ended up making a couple of calls to Virgin Atlantic reservations who originally said they could not cancel the ticket as it was done through DWT and gave me until 01 February to make a change to my ticket. After calling Virgin Atlantic reservations again they have since extended the date to 20 November for changes however I will be charged an extra £200 to do this!!! Virgin Atlantic reservations have 'cancelled' my flight in their booking system, (this means I won't be charged a no show fee), and I'm now 'in credit' with them but again they cannot refund the money because it was done through DWT. In all fairness Virgin Atlantic reservations have been very helpful but I'm obviously not very happy about having to pay the extra £200.
I haven't contacted Trading Standards but will in the next couple of days. I HAVE however written to a columnist at The Sun newspaper who is similar to Trading Standards and now just waiting to hear back.

The prices on DREAM WORLD TRAVEL site are a c.o.n. No baggage included in the price. International tickets were cheaper but no where on its website does it tell you that baggage charges are not included.We called to check and they tell you baggage charges are applied after you have paid for your flights.!!!!
