Went out yesterday and got a new r10 mk2 in 177.Only took 5 shots to zero at 30 yards.Does pellet on pellet at 30 and 35 yards 5 pence groups at 40 and does not open up a lot more at 45 and 50 yards. Can only say that I am very happy at the moment shot 750 pellets in the first 2 days tested aa field 4.52 at 11,4 ft lbs jsb 11 2 and rws super field at just under 11 not pellet fussy but the aa are about the best ones.HOPE I CAN SAY THE SAME IN A FEW MONTHS (read more)

I have had my BSA R10 Mk2 in .22 for about 2 months now and am very pleased with it. It is lighter than my Air Ranger and shoulders just as well. The stock is well made and has a nice finnish. It is teamed up with a Hawke Panorama EV and is giving good results. I have been using it against targets at 60 yards and it is giving fairly consistent groupings using H&N FTT 14.6 grain pellets. I have taken live quarry cleanly at 45 yards without issue. My only gripe is that even with the... (read more)

Just bought the r10 mk2 its bang on for accuracy and looks there isn't anything I dislike with the gun it's well worth the money heared some bad reviews just looks like they've had a Friday afternoon gun or they've tampered with it themselves. No problems with mine so far touch wood but they do come with two year warranty so what more do you won't just take it back if you find any problems. (read more)

Got my BSA r10 mk2 .177 and it's an outstanding gun. Put about four tins of pellets through it and it's proved it's self in the field hunting bunny's and crows. The rifle is very consistent pellet on pellet groups at 30 yards. There's beet slot of bad press of late about the r10 with nearly threw me off buying one but from my gun and what I've heard about BSA and there new procedures on guns befor they leave the factory BSA have sorted things out! In sort it's and amazing gun for the price... (read more)

I bought this airgun in April 2012. I had heard that there had been some issues with some being sent back for repair. The faults seem to be mainly leaking air or magazine releated. I can happily say my R10 does not have any of these problems. BSA make their own barrels and they are very accurate , but can be pellet fussy. Mine likes air arms 4.52 pellets. They are simple to to fix if there is an issue. A full set of seals is around £ 12.50. The quality if the finish is good but not... (read more)

Ok so I have bought my BSA R-10 Mk2 rifle second-hand. Now I spent a good month reading through reviews (on-line and in magazines), going on forums (to see owners opinions) and generally doing a lot of research before I commited to spending my hard earnt cash. I took the plunge and bought it with a very good package having a 3ltr dive bottle, three 10 shot magazines, sling, bi-pod, silencer, a camo'd furry gun slip and two tins of pellets thrown in for good measure by the gun-shop all for a... Yes i fell for the looks of the r10, a beautiful looking rifle. Couldent wait to get home and try her out, what a let down it sounded that it was fireing at different power levels, and it was. Crono differd from 11.2 best to 8.8 worst pretty bad for a regulated rifle, tried resetting the bottle tried dry fire to reset the regulator, cleaned the barrel suprised by the amount of lead up it for a new gun.some parts look cheap the gauge, the walnut stock is quite soft, magasine is poor quality.... Coming to the PCP world after 40 years of springers. It's good, really good. Accuracy comes easy when there's no recoil. My daughter (11) shot 12mm group at 25 yards today and she's never pulled a trigger until today. Gun is flawless so far except that the finish in certain areas (shroud thread/butt plate) leave something to be desired. Yes, good for 150 shots with JSB exact or Bis Mags then no shots are wasted. Not fussy with different pellets but mags are shooring much lower thah any... (read more)

Follow up review from my previous comments in June when the rifle was purchased. The R10 Mk2 has been flawless in all aspects of its operation, found it was fickle on pellet choice, but to my advantage it likes and shoots Bisley Magnums with ease and suitable for most needs, the same as my HW100KT. For absolute perfection on both rifles I use H&N Baracuda Match 4.51 flavour, the R10 will outshoot the HW100 at ranges over 35 metres and up to 60 metres. Apart from that not a lot to choose... I had my r10 for six months now and have put at least 5000shots through it, and over all it is a GREAT RIFLE. For a start the looks are unbeaten. The accuracy is very good, but it takes time to get to know where the pellet will hit. The power has never let me down and the shot capacity (170 per fill) is very efficient, alowing over three time the shots from the ultra. With the fully shrouded barrel and an additional silence, the rifle sounds as quite as a bicycle pump, which will alow a... (read more)

I recently purchased this gun as I liked the weight and the looks, felt good to hold and shoot aswell. I purchased both the .177 and the .22 versions spent over £1500 on guns scopes and mounts. Since having the gun I've shot nearly 1000 pellets through each. The pellets land pellet on pellet at 10-15 yards most shots apart from the odd flyer. Adjusting the target to 25yards gives me a 1 inch spread of pellets with the occasional flyer. Adjusting for a target at 35-45 yards gives me a 2-3... (read more)

Margin of error increases over longer distances numn nuts! So whilst I get better groupings at shorter distances, the spread becomes more apparent at greater distances. You're not as clever as you think your are. I currently own five top PCP rifles and I know when I compare my BSA R10 to my Weihrauch HW100, the Weihrauch proves itself 10 out of 10 times, my BSA R10 does not compare MATE! Also my Air Arms destroys the R10. I bought the R10 for the looks and regret it now. Finally for your information I have shot air rifles for over 15 years and have clean kills with under 12ft pounds from 70-80 yards MATE! If you want to put your money where your mouth is bring your R10 and you can put my shooting to the test, I will use my HW100 we will see how you get on MATE!. My last point, this is the review centre and I'm giving my personal view, I'm not on here to judge other people so I suggest in the future you don't either MATE!

Already got an HW100KT and S410TDR both great guns, but on Monday 20th June 2011 I had the choice of 3 R10s, picked the one with the best Grade 2 Walnut stock, tiger/Zebra stripe in the grain, awesome looking gun. Well got it home and thoroughly cleaned it, never seen so much grease and oil on a new gun, especially up the barrel, now its spanking. Paired it up with a one piece Sportsmatch mount (high one) due to the shrouded barrel and a Bushnell Legend 5x15x40. Ran about a 100 pellets... (read more)

Got my R10 mk11 two weeks ago, I must say this is a beast of a cannon.
45 yards it removes the last pellet from a 1" fence post again and again, this is a very accurate gun, when scoped and mounted with a bipod it gets a bit on the heavy side, but it is a total dream to shoot.
Crows at 50 yards plus fall over time after time rabbits fall single shot at 60+ with a head shot.
The indexing issue seems to be sorted on the MK11 although i have just sent it back to BSA as it started pulling to the...

Marvellous (so far) - I haven't chance to try it on distances larger than 40 meters, but up to this I can cover groups with 10mm coin. I don't mention the way it looks and handles - that is well known and highly scored by everyone.
I think it was really bad choice to sell BSA to Gamo.

You need to learn how to shoot then mate as my 22 r10 mk2 is is the best rifle I've ever shot ,an I've had a few guns in my day. Answer me this if its pellet on pellet at 15yards and
at 35 yards it has a three inch spread how does the pellet lose accuracy from 15 to 35 yards
