The Browning 800 Mag pistol is an absolute hand cannon. It is a big, heavy, semi recoiless gun. The size and weight are pretty comparable to the RWS P5 Magnum which I also own. For the price this gun is a bargain to say the least at well under $200 USD. It can be had in either .177 cal or .22 cal. The .177 is rated at 700 fps and the .22 @ 600 fps. I am sure this is as with literaly every manufacturers fps claim with very if not the lightest pellets around. I have not had a chance to chrony... (read more)

Some chrony #'s; Beeman Silver Bear pellets avg. 524 fps = 7.7 fpe. Not bad for a pistol. More fps/fpe may still be in the making for the gun has likely not seen even 200 pellets through it. We'll see?!

Mike, have you had an opportunity to disassemble the Browning 800 ?
Mine is new in .22 cal, but has a 6+ lb. trigger pull that needs attention.
I have a BSA Edge 2x scope / Hawk 1" rings and a UTG 11 mm to weaver adapter, vertical scope stop pin mount that holds everything in place.
There was an adjustable screw for the sear in the older models, however mine does not have it, so taking it apart is the only option. I have shot 500+ rounds thru it. Let me know

No I have never taken it apart and the trigger is awful especially compared to the likes of the Beeman P1/ HW45's that I own. Truely the weakest link to this otherwise high potential air pistol. Good luck with things!
