“worst customer service and manager ever dealt with”

I paid approx. £5000 for a Citroen C1 car on the 26th November 2015, and experienced faults immediately mainly the car was full of water, the back seat too wet to sit on, the foot wells on drivers side front and back have puddles of water, the boot too wet to use, seals round windscreen hanging off, and the condensation due to this making the car too dangerous too drive as it was impossible to see out of the car due to the windows steaming up. The car was taken back and back again, had some repairs then more parts ordered. On the 26 January 2016 just 61 days later I had had enough and returned the car. THE COMPANY REFUSED TO EXCHANGE IT SAYING IT HAD TO BE PART EXCHANGED. The car shop sold me a car not fit for purpose, and too dangerous too drive THEY VALUED THE CAR AT £3000, SO IN 61 DAYS THE CARS VALUE HAD DROPPED £2000 ABSOLUTLY DISGRACEFUL.. The car was faulty and should have been exchanged for one fit to drive. WE WERE IN THE SALESROOM FOR 5 HOURS AND 40 MINUTES, WE REPEATEDLY ASKED TO SEE THE MANAGER AND NOT ONCE DID HE COME OUT OF HIS OFFICE TO MEET US OR INDEED SPEAK TO US, HE IS NOT FIT TO BE A MANAGER. He left young salesman  do his dirty work for him. What a fantastic young man he is, he couldn't have been more helpful to us treating us with respect and trying to sort things out. If this young lad is doing the managers job, he should be given the managers wages. Well done to him and thank you. After five hours we handed over another £600 and left with a car of less value, far higher mileage and not at all what we wanted just to get out of there. We paid cash for this car and another, they took over £10,000 off us and treated us like this. I would advice anyone to steer clear of Car Shop Doncaster, as their follow up service and complaints procedure is non existent

“Warranty rubbish helpless”

Do not buy a car from them if it goes wrong and it will they are not helpfull at all want your money then you are on your own bought a car and a £500 warranty that was worthless as they always have a get out clause no wonder most of the staff that I dealt with left you do not have to take my word for it but I had my 10 plate car back 3 times in 1 week major oil leak would not trust them again

Our warranty is approved by the RAC and designed to comprehensively cover issues where a vehicle suffers sudden mechanical breakdown. In line with most warranties it will not cover wear and tear issues which relate to serviceable items that come the end of their life - such as tyres, brakes, clutch etc. Please contact us so that we may further assist you with your vehicles issues.

Excellent service, friendly and extreemly helpful finding us the best car for our needs and arranging the finance and part exchange without a hitch. Drove away same day with new car valeted and in perfect condition. Salesman Les Spinks took time to ensure we picked the ideal car and taylored finance to suite. Special mention also to finance specialist and the two lovely girls in the preperation and collection department. “Appalling attitude and service”

My wife and myself visited Carshop Doncaster to look for a car, we had sold the wife's car previously, On arrival we asked to look at cars available with easy access as my wife suffers with rheumatism but were shown to a desk and asked questions regarding which cars we are interested in and what price. After a series of questions and the assistant making numerous visits to his superior we are told there is nothing available but if I want to pay £300 they would fetch one from Birmingham for us to look at, I decided if I wanted to look at a car in Birmingham I would drive there. As we did not have a trade in and did not want finance we were almost shown the door ( well it felt like it) We never saw a car never mind sit in one. How on earth they stay in business selling cars is beyond me.

Went to look for a car here today, talk about rude. Absolutely shocking service, pressuring you into buying cars out of your price range. Was followed out into the car park buy a sales man who wrote down my reg?. Would not advise to go here and will certainly not be returning.

I would like to put a 5star review for the customer service at car shop doncaster I have drove for 25years and never felt the need to write a review for the service I recieved I have bought my last two cars from car shop and have been happy all the way but customer service shined through when I need to go through my warranty this month the young lady was there every step of the way I felt I got a very personal service I have a disabled family which she totally understood the car shop even returned my car fixed and fully valleted it was a pleasure to put a face to the young lady that dealt with my claim I thank the work shop to I no it wasn't a plain sail with many problems 5star again I will be buying my next car at doncaster car shop 5star service thank you

“First time here-great overall service”

I was a little hesitant about coming to the car shop for my annual service, i had used a small local garage for 13 years until the owner passed away and it closed leaving me to find another garage I can trust. I got a quote from an adviser for my service and decided to give it a go. I can honestly say that after the nice all round service I got I will defiantly go again. They were competitive on price and accommodating on time. She is obviously a hard working and nice lady, a real asset to the company.

“Car Service and Oil Change”

The oil change message appeared the previous night and due to work this needed doing ASAP as i needed the car. We contacted Car shop that morning, spoke to an advisor and it was booked in. The car was dropped off two hours later. It was serviced, oil changed, air conditioning filter replaced within a few hours. The car was with me by mid afternoon. I can't fault them in anyway.

I PLACED A ORDER WITH THE CARSHOP AT DONCASTER, FIRST DONT EVER DO THIS UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOSE YOUR DEPOSIT!!! THE CAR CAME AND IT WAS DREADFUL, LOOKED FAB ON PICTURES.... HORRENDOUS IN REAL LIFE! AFTER SAYING I DIDNT WANT IT AND WANTED MY DEPOSIT BACK I WAS BEING TALKED INTO ALSORTS OF DEALS, IE RESPRAY OF THE CAR!, LOOK AT OTHER CARS THEY HAD.....ERR NO THANKS!!! ANYWAY NOW I AM HAVING TROUBLE GETTING MY DEPOSIT BACK AND BEING FOBBED OFF LEFT RIGHT AND CENTRE. ADVICE FOR ANYONE WANTING A NICE, RELIABLE CAR.....AVOID THIS PLACE JOKERS FOR STAFF AND COMPLETE TALK THE TALKERS....AVOID

“Liars.... Shoddy cars”

Car was covered in chips and scuffs and covered over with what looked like tipex. When I said I no longer wanted the car they got shirty. Trying to get my deposit back is a hassle! I advise not to go here and definitely don't put a deposit down They are quick to take your money but struggle giving it back I am in process of seeking advise from citizens advice Avoid this place if u want a reliable car

“No customer service, no professionalism, & NO to using...”

Where do I start? Weren't knowledgeable about the product. Lost my original car. Failed to send that car to the right site. Offered total package verbally, then increased the price in writing. Tried to tell me tyres had twice the tread-depth they had, then finally agreed with no apology. Were only interested in selling extras, not the vehicle. Had no service book with the vehicle at collection, and 11 months later I'm still waiting for it. Mixed my keys up with a person of the same last name, so my car almost had the wrong work done to it, when they were sorting the tyres which had little tread. Did not balance wheels correctly after fitting tyres, so I had to take it to a fitter which they organised locally. Could have been worse, I could have been buying a new car, and not one 15 months old.

“shocking after-sales & sly”

I bought a £11,000 Audi a3 from the car shop, a fair price for the age and mileage, that was the only good thing. The guy who served me basically didn't let us look around and forced me and my partner to sit down and look through their database (as that's there policy). Also if you tell them your budget and you aren't looking for anything too expensive or new, they hardly pay any attention to you and don't care. the CEO's son was apparently in that day so the guy serving me was under stress and would not stop rushing and trying to force me into buying, all we wanted to do was look around. They are smart yet sly by having all the cars under a roof, making imperfections harder to see than when in direct sunlight, but I ended up loving the car and bought it that day. a few weeks later when it was sunny I saw loads and loads of scratch and swirl marks all over the body, and also cutting compound from buffing still between all cracks in the door handles and between panels. The car shop attempted to buff the car to make it look nicer but used far too cores cutting compound making it leave swirl marks all over, they obviously denied responsibility and it would cost me over £300 to have it buffed correctly. I also took out GAP insurance which when I read the contract basically said if I am insured and my insurer is willing to pay for damages that they would't! so what's the point in GAP insurance because you will never get the value you bought it for if your insurance would pay out first? I also took out the 5 year MOT and service plan, but cancelled it within 2 months as i didn't think they would do a good job from reading reviews, so i take it to my local garage instead now. I cancelled this in November and was due close to £100 refund which took till late MARCH to finally receive, 5 months to get a refund! each department kept passing off responsibility for the refund until I got put through to customer services, which finally told me that the invoice couldn't be found on their records, so I rang the company who provided the finance for it and they said they sent the email confirmation and refund in January to the car shop, they also told me that there was no paperback invoice that they were looking for, and asked for the number for the car shop to try and resolve it themselves. when they rang me back it turned out the customer service manager had left and they had got confused and basically didn't know what they were doing; which is why it took so long to get my refund. I rang twice a month trying to chase this up as they would be happy to forget about it, they told me week after week that they were finding the invoice, that it was upstairs waiting approval from administrations team, that they had sent the cheque through the post, but then it hadn't actually been sent it was waiting more approval. very unorganised, misleading, and don't care once you've bought the car. make sure you look at the car all around in direct sunlight before buying, do not take ANY extras out, just buy the car and get it serviced/MOT at a trustworthy garage. they could't even buff it correctly and clean it up afterwards.
