It was the first time I had visited carshop when we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff who took the time to check if we were looking for something specific. We were and were pointed in the right direction and whilst looking we were left to our own devices. I liked the fact that once someone had dealt with you on arrival you weren't hassled by anyone else as usually happens in car shopping. I was looking for a specific car and a specific age that would fit my plans. After searching on-line I found a car that was very close to my requirements at CarShop though it was at a different location. After making initial enquiries the car was transported to Doncaster for my viewing the very next day. We went to Car Shop at Doncaster to look for a small second car, the staff there were extremely pleasant to do business with, especially Sherrick our Advisor, there was no pushiness at all which is what normally puts me off going to places like this to buy a new car. Bought my second vehicle from the Car Shop at Doncaster last week. We had visited several used car showrooms, only to be treated like a piece of rubbish by car salesman who act as if they have no interest in selling you a vehicle at all. “A pleasent buying experience”

I have recently bought a Vauxhall insignia from Car Shop Doncaster and was thoroughly impressed by the friendly approuch to car sales shown by their staff. There was no pushiness as you expect from car salesmen and although we had problems with the finance side of things they all worked hard to resolve the issues we were having. All in all a very pleasurable experience and i would recommend them to anyone who wants a nearly new car at the right price. (read more)

Now don't get me wrong. The car I purchased from the Carshop was valeted very well and the service from Dindy was very professional so no faults there at all. I originally went in on a whim as I needed a diesel, saw one that I liked and agreed a deal, for some reason or another the deal couldn't be done that day and I was told that they would call me first thing on Monday. Rude staff, dubious methods of sale like price match, to qualify for price match the other car needs to be the same age, same mileage OR LOWER, if I found the same model elsewhere with a lower mileage I would go for it obviousely (nonsense). They do not accept any offers, and when I said that they are missing a sale they just said have a good day and hanged up. Spoke with one of CarShop workers on the phone prior to my visit to get a valuation on my car. I was asked, and i quote, 'will you be part exchanging your car' in which i replied 'no, just looking to sell'. So the valuation went ahead and was offered £8650. We arrived and were greeted politely. we were offered a drink and our needs determined. we were given time to look around and a car that we wanted was found for us. We put a deposit down on a car after getting what we thought was a good deal for us. For other reasons, the following day we decided to give back word on the deal and look elsewhere. The Car Shop Doncaster were very understanding and immediately offered to give a full refund of our deposit, the only downside was having to make a couple of phone calls chasing the cheque up which they had promised us and them not returning there calls when they promised they would. Excellent place to purchase a vehicle. easier to look for a vehicle in a well lit warm indoor area with no pushy salesman hanging around you. I recently purchased an Audi a3 from the Carshop at Doncaster. Initially I was quite wary after hearing poor accounts of other car supermarkets but was pleasantly surprised. We had reserved a car to view and arranged visit. Greeted on arrival by friendly, helpful staff. Our salesman was most polite, helpful and knowledgeable. The car had been brought out for us to view and we were given plenty of time to look around without feeling pressured. He left us to view the car and offered us a hot drink. My experience at the Carshop was overall very positive unlike other dealer ships there was no pressure to purchase or make a decision. The staff were very accommodating for my daughter who was able to play in the small play area and colour at the sales desk this was a great help and refreshing to see a positive attitude towards kids. We arrived to look for a car, were greeted warmly by a friendly person at the entrance every staff member we saw walking round the showroom smiled and spoke, we saw the model we wanted and had a choice of 5, finally made our choice and quickly negotiated a part exchange price with no fuss or bother, signed up agreed a delivery day and left very happy with both the service and the deal. I recently purchased a car from car shop. It looks to be a great car. They gave me a good value for my part exchange and knocked a bit off the price of the car too, so overall I got a good deal. However, firstly when I went in to look at and purchase the car, they couldn't find it. So that took a good 20 minutes. When we purchased the car everything was fine. No problems with sales staff who were attentive and helpful. Not happy at all with the collection of our car. When we came to collect our car and pay the balance the whole process took one and a half hours which was utterly ridiculous. The car I wanted was in a different branch and the salesman was going to transfer it for me if I put a deposit down, but I didn't want to do this so the salesman did his best to find me a car in stock at the price I wanted to pay. Where to start?? I bought a car from Carshop Doncaster, the car had works to be carried out on it before I picked it up, i.e. Bumper had been knocked out of place and a door card leather was ripped. I traded in my 330d Sport for an A4 TDI. I was very pleased with the service. The Salesman was pleasant and friendly and although I accept anyone on commission is always going to want to sell, I didn't feel pressured. The business Manager was also easy to deal with. The cost of the vehicles was a little on the heavy side but the situation is nice and I accept you have to pay for a big building full of nicely prepared cars and everything that goes with providing that. Spent a long time waiting around, the man we spoke continually kept leaving his desk. I had a friend with me who works for BMW who said the process of selling cars should be a lot quicker. The car was in great condition from the outside, the inside was a slightly dirty which wasn't great. Only got given one set of keys which was highly irregular, however was sent another set in the post 2 weeks, to which I knew nothing about. I love the car and am very happy I went for the one I did. Good range of cars displayed in decent condition. Travelled a long way to get our car, so staff were flexible & allowed us to reserve 2 with the option to get both refunded - which was great. Choosing the car, test driving it & agreeing the deal all went very smoothly. BUT you then have to wait ages for a long chat with a 'business specialist' who wastes a lot of your time trying to pressure sell extras, and has the cheek to say it's their obligation under FSA rules! The carshop is a good idea, loads of cars to choose from all under one roof. The staff, service after sales etc is shocking and I would never use them again ! We bought a BMW from them and the getting the deal done was ok although the sales people were very pushy but that is normal. But we went to collect the car on the day / time that had been arranged and it was given to us in right state! Choice of this type of small cars was limited, no Fiat, Skoda, Ford Ka, Hyundia, Seat, Mazda or Kia were available so limited choice.
