Pick up at belfast city was efficient, just call as soon as you land. Aircon didnt work in first car but they replaced it quickly. Car was ok and didnt act up although getting on. Drive right around NI ina week with no dramas. Car exterior a bit rough so make sure you inspect and take photos. Service guys were great. Would do it again with sixt no probs on return. Staff were very pleasant at the collection point and the car was ideal for negotiating the Tuscan hair pin bends and climbing to all those different hill towns. So I chose this company because the price was so competitive. I soon realised upon arrival that this indeed was not the case! I took out excess insurance but in the end I was informed of two options - either I pay £1,000 deposit which I was willing to do, but then I was told I wouldn't get it back till 21 days after my return. We were able to pay upfront so we didn't have to deal with payment upon arrival, and we received an upgraded car. Please note this review is about the rental provider INTERENT a branch of EUROPCAR. I have no problem with the service from 121 cars, only their choice of providers. I have used 121 3 times before and was very happy with those providers. (1) Booked through 121 car hire who advertise unlimited miles. Car was as ordered and was a good price and worked well, which was the most important thing. Clean inside but pretty dirty outside when collected. AVIS staff member had a brusque and miserable attitude. Car provided with 3/4 fuel tank but told to return full and a refund would be made. Not yet received that refund. With regards to the Excess Insurance you mentioned, please could you clarify whether you are referring to the Excess Insurance policy we offer our customers during the booking process or if you are referring to an Excess Insurance policy offered to you by the local supplier on collection?
If you are referring to the Excess policy provided on our site at the time of booking, then this is provided by a separate company to 121 Car Hire called Questor Insurance. As you would have seen at the time of booking, the price is clearly displayed on the booking page, next to where you can choose to either include or exclude this with your booking. If however you are referring to the local supplier policy then you will need to take that up with them as it is out of our control.

The car was clean and presentable and in full working order, however we paid a lot more money than we expected to pay. We thought that 98 euros for a tank of fuel was extortionate and a total rip off. The deposite of £1000 for collision damage and waiver undermined the overly priced insurance that we took out to compensate us in the event of an accident. We are sorry to hear you were not happy with your car rental experience. However, we would like to point out that all information relating to charges applied by the local supplier can be found in the terms and conditions provided on the last page of the booking form as well as on the rental voucher. By completing a booking, customers are indicating that they have read and agree to these terms and conditions.
Unfortunately, the fees charged by the local supplier for fuel are controlled directly by them and there is nothing we can do about these. However, if you would like to dispute this, we would ask that you take this up directly with the local supplier.
As for the excess deposit required at collection, this is standard practice. If you are referring to the Excess Insurance policy offered on our website, the information provided during the booking process clearly explains that you will still be required to provide a credit card to the local supplier for the excess to be blocked. As well as this, all customers are required to tick a box to indicate that they have read and agree to the terms and conditions before they can continue with insurance included with their booking.

Cost effective car hire from Green Motion, alongside Bristol Airport. It's a franchise so not all Green Motion locations are necessarily rated the same. This is a very good one in my view so don't overlook them . Good daily rate, really efficient pick up service (they collect you and take you to your car), easy paperwork, had lovely new car for category of hire. We are sorry to hear you did not get the car you were expecting. However, as it would be impossible to list every vehicle model available around the world, cars are categorised into similar groups according to the Association of Car Rental Industry Systems Standards.
We display as much information as we can to help you with your selection, including the approximate size of the vehicle and whether the car is manual or auto, with or without air conditioning.
What you actually receive when collecting your car may not match the image you were shown at the time of the booking. This is why all cars are displayed with the "or similar" note along side them as they are for reference only and do not guarantee that is what you will get. The car hire you receive on collection should however fall into the same car class grouping as the one you paid for.

Rip off would have been cheaper to use a big chain like avis etc. Charge 25 euro each way for pick up and drop off between the hours of 8pm-8am which is not advertised! Charge 100 euro for fuel which you would never use.and would only cost around 30 euro anyway to fill the tank. Two small things I'm not 100% happy about ... the very professional lady at the counter at Heathrow suggested that I upgrade the car I booked (a mini car ) to one that would be better for long distance driving.
